The Magnolia Hotel and Spa

4.5 out of 5.0

Lovely hotel with a great staff. Everyone was extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants, tips for tours etc. Location was wonderful, everything withing walking distance right around the corner from the Empress hotel, Parliament building, museum etc. Very comfortable rooms, great shower and separate tub My sister even left a necklace behind and the housekeeping staff found it after we checked out and arranged to mail it out to her!

Almost everything interesting is within walking distance, so you barely need a rental car. Also, pro tip: free street parking on Sundays, so you can skip the valet for one day.

Terrible customer service and inflexible staff. Not very friendly overall. Be sure to avoid this hotel

The hotel is very centrally located close to the inner harbour. Very nice room with above average furniture and fixtures. The fireplace in the room was a nice touch as the weather was getting cold.

Close to sights. Wonderful atmosphere. People very helpful

Very nice hotel I like it everything was okay I hope so I can go again soon from my opinion nothing to complain.

Great location so you can walk anywhere easily, even when poor weather. Helpful staff. Wonderful spa treatment.

Room was lovely and very comfortable bed. Location perfect. We walked all over downtown.

Most relaxing and enjoyable stay in 50 years of travel around the world!

Great place and great location. The room was awesome. Couple of tips...... don't eat breakfast there if it isn't complimentary and if you want to use the spa attached to the hotel book ahead.

Great location to explore Victoria. Very cozy and clean hotel. The bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again.

My wife and I traveled from Whistler to Seattle and stopped over in Victoria. We stayed the the Magnolia and the hotel was perfectly situated for access to restaurants and to the ferry! The room was great as well as the staff. There was free parking in front of the hotel from 6pm until 9am.

Personal feel. Helpful staff and access to a vibrant picturesque downtown in a pristine bustling city in Canada 's pacific northwest. Couldn't have asked for more. great location to use as a base for my business trip. Recommend for business or pleasure.

Nice hotel with good location with access to GasTown and Hop On/Hop Off bus line. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. No real view except of the stadium

The down sides: Check in wasn't great as we didn't get the sized bed we asked for when we made reservations. Room was smaller than I anticipated and the bathroom was disappointing for size as well. The maid service could have been better. Continental breakfast wasn't even worth going downstairs for, so we went out instead. The upside was the bed and pillows! Fantastic!!!! Prime restaurant for dinner our first night was wonderful. Over all, I wouldn't claim this to be a luxury boutique hotel. It's nice, but not worth the five star rating it receives.. The Wedgewood Hotel in Vancouver on the other hand is pure magic in comparison!

All the positive reviews are dead on. This hotel does not disappoint on any level.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived a little before check in time, but that was no issue. They do require that you use valet parking.

This was a fabulous hotel, extremely clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed, quiet and close to everything.

If you want to be downtown and have access to all amenities of Victoria this is the hotel for you. The Magnolia Hotel is top drawer. I stay at hotel's often for business. This hotel exceeded all expectations, comfortable classic furnishings, top of line bedding. Clean and comfortable and a gracious staff. Can't be beat for comfort and quality.
