Great experience in Venice. The hotel was very nice and fancy. But the hotel staff Is HORRIBLE!! Housekeeping person opened the door without looking at the Don't disturb sign. My husband and I had no clothes on...

Had a great stay, the hotel is a bit on the pricy side but worth every penny of it. Room is not spacious, but classy, super clean and well maintained. In-room expresso machine is a nice surprise. The hotel has its own water taxi dock; I was in a rush to get to the airport; the hotel booked me a water taxi which got me there in less than half an hour!

Great location. We were able to walk to every place, we wanted to see.

The hotel was located conveniently between Rialto Bridge and Saint Mark's Square! The hotel was easily accessible by water taxi. (Note: Water taxis are pricey in Venice.) The hotel has a covered atrium for breakfast buffet which was included with the room price. There are traditional Venice Styled rooms or the modern (also more recently renovated) rooms at this hotel. We booked two rooms and we were first given one traditional and one modern. As soon as we new that we could have a modern room option, we opted for that. The two rooms we had were 274 and 266. Room 274 was a canal view and 266 was not, but was very quaint and comfortable. However, Room 266 had poor WIFI connection, only by the door. Overall, highly recommended and I couldn't believe my luck for choosing such a cute hotel in a city that might seem a bit overwhelming for a first time visitor!

Had a brief stay while visiting multiple destinations in Italy. We were traveling with myself, my husband and 5 month old. Upon arrival we realized we forgot certain documentation and even booked the incorrect date (all our own errors). The hotel staff was wonderful at taking care of everything quickly and we were checked in very quickly. Very thankful for their help. Good location, easy to pop in and out for a quick break/nap/bathroom break while seeing sights. Clean, safe, and everything we needed. Would stay here again.

Excellent location-good food. No wifi to speak of only problem

Very good hotel - 5 stars in my opinion - within 2 blocks of San Marco or Rialto Bridge. Breakfast is plentiful but boring. Rooms are spacious.

The hotel was awesome. The location couldn't be better. Just steps from everything to see in central Venice. You know you're staying in a great location when the traditional guided walking tour takes you past your hotel!! The staff were very accommodating and quick with email responses to my special requests for transfers etc. Breakfast is extensive and in a lovely setting. Really can't say enough about he hotel. Highly recommended for adults.

Great location with many restaurants and shops. Hotel is quaint and in the center.

We stayed for 5 days and had enjoyed every minute we spent at the hotel. The only thing we didn't like was the wifi connection, they offered a free option, which had slow connection and limited data. I had to get the business option for 8 euros per day.

The location was perfect and the service excellent!

After being awake for about 24 hrs, this hotel manage to make it worse. We got at the hotel about 10 am and was ask to wait till 2 pm since the room was not ready and an " early check in was not allowed". We sat at the lobby while other guest got checked in quickly. I felt like passing out at the hotel lobby while their staff simply just pass by. Horrible experience at this hotel. The location was decent but there are other hotels that are also close.

It's beautiful, gorgeous, the service there is definitely five stars - can't say enough good things about the service there. The hotel rooms were beautiful and comfortable. (The notes about the walls being a bit thin are true - use a noise generator app when you try to go to sleep and that should be fine.) Value - well, this kind of location, service and hotel aren't cheap - but -it was an utterly fantastic stay. Will stay again.

The hotel was really nice and they even gave us a complimentary upgrade because the trip was to celebrate our anniversary. It was kind of a pain to get there from the train station and then to the airport when we left since we didn't want to spend $120 Euro each way for a water taxi. Minimize the amount of luggage you take and it will make it easier. Make sure you email the hotel ahead of time to get instructions/directions.

Enjoyed our stay at the Starland Splendid !! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the food at the breakfast area was good and refreshed often. We also enjoyed being so close to Piazza San Marcos and the Puente Rialto. Would stay here again next time in Venice !!!

The hotel is perfectly located, an easy walk from San Marco and Rialto bridge. The rooms are very pleasant, clean and cheerful. We exchanged our pillows for ergonomic ones which were very comfortable. Overall very pleasant experience. The price was a little on the high side.

Very Good location, good breakfast. It worked very well.

We just selected deluxe room for bath tub and it had some problems with blocking water and had mud in the water.

Hotel was very nice, recently renovated so rooms were beautiful. Only complaint was the walls were paper thin, so you could hear everything from the room next door or in the hall way. Other than that the hotel is in a great location and very nice. But for the price we received, it was a good deal.

The hotels is loacated in SanMarco Square. It closes to all the shops & restaurants. Very beautiful & clean room. This hotel is worth the money. Real 4-star hotel.
