Such an amazing spot to stay in, very clean and friendly helpful staff, also a great location away from the busy crowd and mostly surrounded by the locals, it has a quick access to water transportations to explore tourist destination around, plenty of restaurants, cafe and art gallery across the bridge. The 2 owners are so friendly and accommodating. We cant say enough good things about them. This is conveniently located next to 2 public "bus" (water buses) stops. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the really popular shopping areas. We are so glad we decided to stay here as opposed to right in the middle of everything.

This is a great place to stay—within walking distance to the market area, shops, and plenty of restaurants. Our entire stay was well-organized by Porta da Mar. Barbara reached out to us in advance, provided clear directions, and made sure we arrived without any issues. Although we were initially given a room without a sea view, she was able to upgrade us at no extra cost. I highly recommend Porta da Mar to anyone visiting the area
