Such an amazing spot to stay in, very clean and friendly helpful staff, also a great location away from the busy crowd and mostly surrounded by the locals, it has a quick access to water transportations to explore tourist destination around, plenty of restaurants, cafe and art gallery across the bridge. Definitely come back and stay here again :)

The 2 owners are so friendly and accommodating. We cant say enough good things about them. This is conveniently located next to 2 public "bus" (water buses) stops. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the really popular shopping areas. We are so glad we decided to stay here as opposed to right in the middle of everything.

A room with no view

It’s basically just a few rooms you access with an app. There’s a common area with a sofa facing the canal, and a cleaner who comes and goes. That’s it. You get a private room with a bathroom, but this is not a hotel. No place to leave bags, no toilet in the lobby. The worst part: the bed was uncomfortable and the window looked straight at a wall. Came all the way to Venice to open the window and see a wall. Horrible. Also, it’s listed as part of the VIP/Gold perks, but nothing was offered or provided for that. I won’t be coming back and will complain about this “hotel” being included in the program.

The property was great but the staff were confusing. They sent an email requesting documents to be sent in order to receive the door code. We sent them and they sent the door code and another document with the code stating that no tax was imposed during the date of our stay. After checking out we started receiving texts saying we never submitted our documents or paid the fees. They were very rude and unfriendly

This is a great place to stay—within walking distance to the market area, shops, and plenty of restaurants. Our entire stay was well-organized by Porta da Mar. Barbara reached out to us in advance, provided clear directions, and made sure we arrived without any issues. Although we were initially given a room without a sea view, she was able to upgrade us at no extra cost. I highly recommend Porta da Mar to anyone visiting the area

It was wonderful! It was located one story above ground level. The stairs were easy to climb. They communicated well, greeted us upon arrival, supplied us with a few snacks, sodas, and waters. Access onto the building, the apartment entry and room was done digitally. We had a beautiful view of the ocean.
