Very good location and easy to get around town due to the bus station right next to hotel. It had a very nice breakfast included with the price and the staff was great to get anything that you needed.

So the garden tables looking out at the grand canal, beautiful decor and a Michelin starred restaurant give you an expectation that this place will be pretty good, but the experience was even better. Our room, 203, was a huge deluxe and we opted for a large open plan room rather than a view of the grand canal. It was perfect - quiet, lovely and cool and given you can just pop out for a drink to see the grand canal, we made the right choice. The location was just perfect, right by the vaporretto stop and a nice walk to the Rialto or San Marco so handy for all the main sights. But the main point to stress here is the service, which totally made our honeymoon. Every time we ordered a drink we were given a small plate of cheese, meat and olives with the most amazing breadsticks and after eating in the restaurant on the first night the sommelier knew what sorts of wine we preferred and made fantastic recommendations. A special note of thanks to Kadeeja (probably spelled wrong) who went out of her way to make us feel special and remember which drinks and snacks we both preferred. The whole trip was so beautiful but this hotel made it extra special.

Beautiful small hotel located on the Grand Canal away from the crowed tourist area but within walking distance of everything that Venice has to offer. We started off in a spacious room on the ground floor but were moved to a room on the third floor with balcony and views of the charming neighborhood. A small room but lovely. Our reservations included breakfast which was wonderful and served in a charming dining room over looking the hotel’s courtyard. We had drinks one night in the second floor “Lounge” which was unbelievable in it’s rich Venetian decor and furnishings. We will stay at the Palazzo Venart on our next trip to Venice.

Venice was our last stop in our visit of Italy. Palazzo Venart did not disappoint. Their restaurant has 1 Michelin star and it shows! The water taxi took us from the airport directly to the hotel. That was a wonderful experience. The hotel manager greeted us personally. Breakfast was not the buffets we had in other hotels, but made to order. When we said we were in a rush, they rushed our meal but did not compromise one bit on quality. We took the hotel shuttle to the island of Murano where we were treated to a glass blowing demonstration. Excellent in every way!

Palazzo Venart is now the perfect place to enjoy luxury and a unique Venetian experience. Sadly, as many of us know, travelling in Venice nowadays can be a struggle against crowds. If you make this exceedingly beautifully Palazzo your home base, you will enjoy Venice in an idyllic way. This hotel is a treasure, located on the Grand Canal, but set back in its own lovely park. Unlike some of the famous properties, you’re not overrun by stampedes of day trippers or confronted with souvenir kiosks. Instead you are a short walk from just about every attraction while in a cocoon of perfection: service is A+ across the board; restaurant and bar are delightful; the decor is in meticulously fine condition in both the rooms as well as public spaces. This trip to Venice I took the opportunity to visit different siestre...not just San Marco. I loved the fact that when we asked the Concierge for a truly authentic local restaurants, we actually had a table waiting for us in a local restaurant, filled entirely with Italians, eating all local fish specialities. I cannot recall a Concierge, ever, that really understood exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed relaxing on the second floor lounge and bar or out in the garden. The delicious to-order breakfasts were a welcome change from the typical buffet breakfasts. An aperitivo was restorative after a day exploring this fascinating city. Best for last: the General Manager and the entire staff transform this gorgeous space from a great hotel to a luxury experience with top, personalized service. Not one single slip-up or error on any front over the course of our stay. When all is said and done, the beautiful room with its view onto the canal, the exquisite restaurant, the great location are important but it’s the great service that sets apart a great hotel. We will never stay anywhere else again when we visit Venice. The service is so personalized and so accommodating I feel there’s no room for improvement. Perfection is rare. Bravo to Palazzo Venart for achieving perfection.

Having travelled extensively, I have been somewhat derelict in writing reviews as often as I should. I have been fortunate to have experienced some of the greatest luxury hotels throughout Europe. This time, however, I must share my experience at the extraordinary property known as Palazzo Venart Luxury Hotel. It has been a while since I visited Venice: shuddering at the thought of the crowds which mar this paradisiacal city. However it was about time to visit magical Venice again. Choosing Palazzo Venart not only ensured the best time we’ve ever had in Venice due to its brilliant location, but my family and I were treated to a level of luxury and attention which far surpassed the greatest, storied hotels throughout Europe. I’d like to dedicate a moment to reiterate what others have said about location: Palazzo Venart has private access to the Grand Canal, it is within an easy walk of the major attractions (as well as the hidden gems that will please the cognoscenti/veterans to Venice). It’s located in an an ancient Palazzo, resurrected for the purpose of giving the lover of luxury an intimate property without sacrificing any luxury and while providing the most fantastic service I have ever experienced. In fact, I’ve extolled the service at other world class hotels. I wished I had reserved superlatives to denote the care we received from Mr. Angelo Rizzi, his assistant Monica and the entire team. Truly, we felt like guests in the private Palazzo of a generous and wealthy host! Mr. Rizzi and his team had prepared our rooms with the types of amenities one doesn’t find too often nowadays. We were laden with delicious fruits, Prosecco, roses, and so forth. The Classic Room with Terrace was perfect for my 19 year old son, the Prestige La Sensa delighted my daughter to no end with the perfect condition and decor harking back to traditional Venice while remaining stylishly curated. The view of the garden and of the Grand Canal only added to her pleasure. My Deluxe Suite was a dream. Suffice to say the accommodations make it difficult indeed to want to leave to explore Venice. Mr Rizzi was in constant contact with me to ensure my stay went smoothly and it lived up to the personal guarantee he made to me that I would be treated especially well because he treats all his guests especially well. This is very important. Every guest will feel like the most important guest. After I left, my children were now on their own for a number of days. Mr. Rizzi, while giving my children all their autonomy, acted as a de facto guardian for their benefit as well as mine. He looked after them every day and kindly kept me in the loop to give me peace of mind, without invading their privacy. A perfect balance. His assistant Monica even helped my son track down some local products which he was going to need after he left the hotel. My daughter was treated like royalty. She has traveled as extensively as have I and she she agrees with me that Mr. Rizzi and his staff provided a singular, perfect and personalized experience. Mr. Rizzi himself put my daughter into the water taxi when she departed, he noticed when my son missed breakfast and offered to make him anything he liked. On my daughter’s last night Mr Rizzi arranged for us to have dinner on my son’s copious terrace. A dream. Please believe me that not one word written here is an exaggeration. In fact I have two things to add: My 19 year old is now studying in Venice for seven weeks. Mr. Rizzi provided him and me with his cell in the event my son needs anything at all while he’s living the student life (and no longer at the Palazzo Venart). Secondly, I am returning to Palazzo Venart in mid-July again to celebrate my Milestone Birthday at my number one choice. My husband gave me carte blanche to choose where to celebrate. Without a moment’s hesitation I selected Palazzo Venart. My birthday will be the best Ive ever had.

. I feel there's very little point in repeating all the same positives others have written. We also had a lovely time and thought the staff at every level were incredibly personable, helpful and memorable. Venice was of course spectacular, and the Venart added to the experience by adding a layer of quality and class. It will never be forgotten. So, here's the two reasons I've given 4 stars and not 5. I really feel the Venart lacks a lounge or salon. Yes, there is one on the 2nd floor which is soulless and tucked out of the way and is little used. But a huge pleasure of staying at any hotel for a few days is to simply relax and watch the comings and goings in a public space, and that needs to be on the ground floor. If I were to change the Venart I would make the one bedroom on the ground floor, by the stairs, and make this a little lounge or library .. or any such place people can relax. And then utilise the 2nd floor lounge into something else such as a bedroom or something more useful. My other bugbear, which many will find ridiculous, is that it irritates me when on mainland Europe that the only English speaking TV channels are BBC World and CNN or other news channels. English is the 2nd most spoken language in the World. And my idea of "luxury" is to settle in bed after being a tourist all day, and to be able to watch some nonsense on TV before drifting off to sleep. Can we not have at least one movie channel? Yet, here we are in Venice and we've got Big Brother Russia. But despite my two negatives, I would without hesitation recommend the Venart to anyone I know who wants a hotel with a level or sophistication. And we would definitely return. .

I came at the beginning of April and I wanted to write and say a very big thank you to the General Manager, Angelo Rizzi and his team for a lovely stay at this stunning hotel which is in a really location in Venice. I had the pleasure to come to this beautiful city with my two young daughters aged, 7 and 11 and the General Manager himself welcomed us and he really lights up the hotel with his warmth and smile. He is always walking around to make sure all the guests are very happy...nothing is too much trouble! General Manager was very kind and helpful. I will definitely be back! As I organise weddings, I feel this is DEFINITELY a great setting for one! Many thanks again for a wonderful stay!

A really 5-star hotel in Venice. Located in the heart of Venice, on the Grand Canal (with a private access to the Grand Canal), next to the San Stae Vaporetto Station, a 10-minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. The area where the hotel is located is not suffocated by tourists, and you are at equal distance from any of Venice's great attractions. Rooms and public areas are decorated in a classical Venetian style, sumptuous but friendly, and very carefully maintained. The rooms are beautifully designed in an authentic way. Rooms and surroundings (there are two inner courtyards) are as clean as possible. The room offers a very warm and spacious space. Very comfortable king bed with a very soft mattress. The heating system works well and silent. The hotel has an à la carte gourmet restaurant. You can enjoy breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The chef prepares a selective and creative kitchen every morning. Breakfast is really good, indeed. I could appreciate it as a surprisingly interesting breakfast. We met there with very kind, helpful and polite staff. Good sense and bona fide are present at all the time. The receptionists were very nice, we were delighted to find that they had answers and directions for any question or request. Hotel management is well done. The hotel's manager is a very pleasant man who has a lot to say, being always delighted to meet and to talk to the hotel guests. We will definitely come back there and advise everyone to try this amazing place. ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10 I GAVE THIS HOTEL AND RESTAURANTS: 9.50

I can’t say enough good things about our stay, starting well before we arrived with assistance with reservations, being met at the train station, boat taxi service, room selection, etc... Both of our rooms were excellent. We had a large suite overlooking the Grand Canal. It was the perfect place for us to enjoy a welcome bottle of Prosecco and fruit with our family. Our first night we ate at Glam, which I highly recommend. Breakfast was also excellent. There are two areas, one overlooking the Grand Canal and the other an inner courtyard, where it is nice to have a drink and a snack. The staff were very helpful in arranging tours of a glass blowing factory on Murano and lace shop on Burano. My only disappointment is that we weren’t able to spend more time enjoying all that the hotel had to offer.
