We love how was room and front desk staffs are very nice and helpful
very nice palazio with yard and library. breakfast ok.
We loved the hotel, everything about it. The garden behind the hotel is magnificent.
This was my first stay here and I loved all of it. The staff was most accommodating and friendly, the room was beautiful (junior suite), the breakfast was set in a lovely room with a view of the large garden. It was too cold for for the terrace but on warmer days that will be a great spot to eat. The location was great, near restaurants and bars and not far from the vaporetto stops. I'd recommend this hotel highly.
It is a very attractive hotel, very clean, beautiful courtyard, good breakfast. BUT, the room! When we arrived to check in, the desk attendant started carrying on about this wonderful room on the third floor, very romantic, view of the entire city, blah, blah, etc. The room was quite large and clean. The main drawback was we could not stand up straight without banging our heads on the low ceilings. It was like getting a room in Munchkin land. We complained but he said that was all they had left (we booked three months ago). We also got 2 waters from the minibar supposedly €1.50 each. Turns out taxes brought the water to €10.00 total! The view, by the way, was of the neighbors' roofs. They were OK roofs, I guess.
This beautiful old villa faces a canal, and on the other side, has a large, flourishing garden. Breakfast was served on the patio facing the garden. We stayed in a standard room. There is an elevator and the air conditioning worked well. Staying in this hotel enables one to escape the throngs of tourists at San Marco, while being able to access that area with a short walk. There are several good restaurants very close to the hotel. The staff were helpful. We contacted the hotel before arriving and they booked a water taxi for us. (Water taxis are expensive. It cost 80 euros to get from the train station to the hotel. But with heavy luggage and hot weather, it was well worth it.) We were delighted with this hotel.
Nice location, beautiful hotel- we stayed in the room just off of the desk. Modern and nice but couldn't get cool- very stuff, opening windows worked until bugs came out.
Hotel Sant'Antonin was a lovely oasis a little off the beaten path but still close to St. Mark's Square. Quiet neighborhood. He building is historic and the family of the original owners still run the hotel. Staff was pleasant and helpful. For those who like history and architectural detail the hotel and rooms are amazing, but stull clean, up-to-date, and comfortable. Nice, generous, European style breakfast buffet served on the terrace of a wonderful court yard garden. Some very good local neighborhood restaurants in the area serving authentic Italian food. Would not hesitate to stay again.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff was fantastic; they recommended a local restaurant that was superb and was not full of tourists and gave us recommendations in things to do around Venice. The breakfast is delicious, and the garden is so serene and amazing. Really beautiful and a welcome retreat from the tourist masses. Only negative thing I have to say is that they do not provide extra pillows, and the one I had was very uncomfortable.
