My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable hotel. The location is a perfect mix of local interest and convenient proximity to transport. The staff were outstandingly helpful and knowledgeable.
This hotel deserves all the fabulous reviews, it really is excellent. It officially has a 3 star rating but the service and the breakfast alone deserve a 5 star rating. The room was clean, beds were soooo comfy and bathroom is excellent with a lovely rain shower and Roberto Cavalli products. The staff are friendly and courteous, nothing is too much trouble (we were served a free large glass of prosecco in the bar as we were leaving) and the breakfast goes above and beyond. There are fresh cakes and flans as well as the usual croissants, fruit, yogurt eggs bacon toast etc. Its a ll incredible and an absolute bargain too. Its 30 minutes walk to St Marks Square but this suited us fine; it keeps you away from the crowds and there are cheap bars and restaurants close to the hotel. These are no more expensive than L:ondon, in fact a lot cheaper. There is a cool cocktail bar around the corner that serves amazing inventive cocktails for 7.50 euros (its called Times Social) so its a great area to stay in. Cant fault this hotel.
As we were traveling by train to Venice with luggage we chose a hotel that was close to the main train station and easy to get to, mindful as we were of having to trundle luggage up steep bridges. Arcadia hotel is positioned perfectly as it is a 10 minute easy stroll from the train station and requiring a single small bridge crossing. It is a small hotel sandwiched between a bar and a restaurant but once inside the reception and common areas are bright and airy. The receptionist was really helpful and seemed sincerely happy to see us. The hotel is quiet and our room (a classic double) was warm, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was perhaps a little on the small side with little space to put girl's toiletries but it was clean and the shower was hot so it did the job well. Good continental breakfast with fresh pastries and fruit. Easy access to the main road but just behind the hotel quiet little streets where it is a joy to wander and get lost. Our return journey was by plane and the hotel is less than 3 minutes away from the boat service to the main airport (40 minute journey)
Bad customer service from the owner. It's not a hotel service, don't waste your money ruin your trip. I had stayed many hotel, motel and air bnb it's clean and modern but they has not 1 ownce customer service. Choose wrong hotel made bad memories for the city.
Very good location, great staff and owner, very good breakfast and complimentary snacks from the afternoon til the night. Rooms are very nice and clean. Do not hesitate and book it! We had a great experience thanks to a very helpful staff, grazie mille Daniele! Looking forward to visiting the hotel again :) !
Nice rooms good breakfast great location Bad manager. We arrived into venice full of excitement as this was the first leg of our italian adventure... the first person welcoming us into the hotel was really nice and gave us some great tips for local restaurants. However this excitement was quickly squashed as the other manager mad us feel very unwelcomed and unhappy. He told us off about hanging wet towls in the room and not In the bathroom. And then told my wife off in the breakfast hall about sitting cross legged in the breakfast hall when there were other customers sitting the same way. Making us feel racially vilified This manager ruined our trip to venice. Clearly he was the weakest link in what could be a great place. He had no customer service skills what so ever. I feel terrible about writing this review when then initial manager was doing such a great job and i dont want to generalise the whole team.
Nice hotel out of the fray of tourists. Pretty, new room with nice touches and amenities. Great breakfast included which is a nice touch. The breakfast room is like dining in a beautiful palazzo. The breakfast staff especially the woman who made coffee and the hotel manager were lovely and warm.
Yes I agree hard to find especially late afternoon and in the pouring rain but in truthfulness the directions Arcadia give you are spot on. So arriving dripping wet it was lovely to receive such a warm welcome. The interiors are excellent and our room luxurious. Extremely helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Complimentary bottle of Prosecco was much appreciated and decided to have that on our 2nd night as it was my birthday and delighted to see the the staff had signed a small card for me. Location wise it was brilliant, yes the market was noisy but I honestly didn't mind it just reminded me I was staying in a bustling busy Venice and found it quite comforting. Our flight out of Venice was quite late and they kindly let us leave our bags with them so we was able to get another full days sightseeing without any hassle. If we went back to Venice I would definitely book Arcadia again.
This small and slightly difficult to find hotel is very good. The entrance on the ground floor is just a glass door with stairs behind it leading to a small reception on the 1st floor. Then on the 2nd floor is a very grand lounge and breakfast / dining area. We travelled as a couple and our room was on the 1st floor. It was a nice room, with just about enough space, but as there's so many sights to see in Venice, why would you stay in the room (except to sleep). Unfortunately we overlooked the street, which had a market on it that started very early in the morning. It was a bit noisy, but it did mean that you had very easy access to a great selection of fresh fruit. The hotel breakfast was pretty good with a decent choice. While the hotel location was excellent as we were able to walk with our trolley bags from the taxi drop-off stand (by the train station) to the hotel within 15 minutes, albeit over many cobbles. Overall, an enjoyable experience in Venice.
Stayed here for 3 nights, super hotel in the perfect location for us as we arrived into Piazzale Roma (walked to hotel) and Cannaregio is our fave area. Piano nobile for evening drinks and breakfast with spectacular chandelier. Staff all very helpful and friendly, in particular Daniel who greeted us on arrival and gave us some excellent tips. Bottle of complimentary prosecco was a nice touch. I would highly recommend this hotel and will return another time.
