There is no question the location is great. Right in the middle of it all and a great home base. The staff suggested an affordable boat tour which I wouldn't have found on my own. It would be nice if their lobby area facing the canal was more conducive to sitting and taking in Venice. It could be a good place to have a cup of coffee or tea and just take a little break if just a little attention to this was made. I imagine the rooms facing the canal are much better than the single one I had. The decor is indeed old but the bathroom had clearly been updated and was clean. My biggest issues were the the smell of my room and the weak, inconsistent WiFi. Additionally, due to how old the hotel is there is limited electrical plugs in the room I had and none were available near the head of the bed. At one point all of the power went out on the first floor which I had to report to the front desk as they were completely unaware. Venice is expensive and the pricing for this hotel is aligned with the area. If you stay there, you can easily go to Farini which is very close for a good coffee and a slice of pizza at an affordable price. It is a chain place but really good for something quick. You will not be ripped off there for sure.

A lovely hotel with an air of faded glamour about it which I found quite endearing. The room was perfectly adequate, well decorated with antique furniture, comfy beds and a good shower in the bathroom (always important). Breakfast was varied and tasty. Location-wise you can't really beat this place - 10 steps out of the front lobby and you're at the Rialto Bridge. Would highly recommend.

The only best thing of that hotel is its location its on the main canal and near to main bridge. Its not a luxury hotel but in its price is not bad .good value of money .its has very old building but good maintain

Stayed for 5 nights, found all staff polite, helpful and professional. Our room was clean and decorated just as you would expect in a 500 year old Venetian building, so there is no lift. The porter was more than willing to help with luggage. It all adds to charm to the experience. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the person snoring next door when I was in our bathroom, a baby cried most nights and a couple had a heated argument one night! Lots of local restaurant just outside, but do explore we found some lovely restaurants. Breakfast is adequate, the fruit salad is tinned and the toaster needs attention. It is plentiful and some greedy guests made pack lunches too! I would recommend this hotel. Plenty of hot water, good shower pressure, free wifi and a perfect location.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I took a water bus from the Marco Polo Airport which was run by Ailaguna company (15 Euro for one way). Take the Orange Line, Arancione, and in 30 or 40mins or so, you will get to the stop Rialto Bridge. Get off here and cross the bridge and the hotel is on your left. No cars are allowed in Venetia and you are easily get lost here because of it's maze like streets, so it is hard to walk around with your suitcase to get to the hotel. So I recommend to find a hotel which has easy access like Marconi. Our room was in the 3rd Floor. There was no elevator although my mother (70's) could manage. But it is tough for the person who has a leg problem. The porter helped us to take the luggage to the room. Compared to the rooms in the USA, it is much smaller and old. But we could rest well at night. There was enough hot water (both the amount and the pressure) for showering. The breakfast was served at Cafeteria and there were coffee, juice, cereal, toast, pastry, eggs, ham, bacon, cheese, yogurt, oranges, and apples. The location is great: 15 mins walk to the San Marco Square, and the canal is just in front of the hotel. There were many restaurants along the canal as well. We cross the Rialto Bridge with our suitcase when we arrived but we learned there was another water bus stop on the hotel side. Walk 5 mins right when you come out from the hotel (keep on walking through the tunnel), you will find a stop "S. Silvestro". You can take Local No.1 Line. We took this water bus to get to the Santa Maria Station. The people at the reception were kind and helped me to make a reservation for the restaurant. I will stay this hotel next time, too.

Booked this hotel via Arrived 2 hours back. First impression, very dirty rundown reception. Rude receptionist/manager. Porter took us to the room on 2nd floor, few zig zags after first floor to arrive at room. THERE IS NO LIFT. Only requested to have a clean room with canal view and paid almost double the price. Room is dirty suffocating. IT'S HOT AND THEY KEEP AIRCONDITIONER OFF!! Room is filthy! Forget canal there is no view. Manager said this hotel has NO ROOMS WITH CANAL VIEW. Pictures are misleading! Porter said there are only 2 rooms with view, someone is not right! Called, they spoke to manager but did not demand or press them to do anything. Lady at reception said she don't care about the review! said, they can't do anything either. I checked and there are cheaper options available around but we are stuck here. Already wasted 3 hours!!! I wanted to post this review so people with kids, dust allergies, elderly or paying lavish for their trip don't book with them.

This is a lovely hotel. Our room overlooked the Grand Canal and is right next to the Rialto bridge. The views are outstanding from the first floor balcony and the breakfast was nice. The only problem is that the staff are quite rude, no hello on arrival just let me see your passports and no goodbye on check out just you must pay your tax for visiting the city. We complained about the loud music and shouting and laughing coming from the room above which went on till after 2.30am. We were told that all rooms above the first floor are privately owned so he couldn't help. It's such a shame because we would definitely love to return to the hotel for a longer stay.

This hotel is in a great location to experience the Grand Canal and historic Rialto Bridge. Our check-in was fast and the receptionist was welcoming. Our room (22) was tidy and bathroom clean. Room was warm even though no heater. It was nice to have balcony overlooking the canal. The hotel itself was very quiet, and we didn't hear any noise outside our room from inside. We did however hear some noise from outside at night but it wasn't annoying. We expected that considering we asked for a canal view room. Wifi was included, fast and we didn't have any problems. Breakfast was included in the charge. It was okay but certainly not great. Coffee wasn't very nice and buns either. Overall our stay was pleasant and we enjoyed it.

A great rustic hotel. We had a clean comfortable room with en suite, bath and shower, toiletries. The breakfast included hot choices, cold meats and cheeses, warm sweet croissants, cereal, rolls etc. Much more than we expected given the great price of the room. We found the reception staff really helpful and friendly. This boutique hotel is also in a fabulous location right next to the Rialto Bridge. Really great!

The Hotel was quaint, charming and perfect location. The only down fall to this hotel it has NO elevator. We were on the fourth floor very tuff.... The staff was very helpful when it came to bringing up and down the luggage. Other than that it was great...
