GREAT LOCATION : We Stayed in Hotel Marconi for two days. Hotel has magnificent and wonderful and PERFECT location near Railto Bridge on Grande Canal and our room number was 402 for two nights. Took Water Taxi from Railto Water Station (just opposite to Hotel Marconi) direct to Airport in €15 per person (Very Cheap) whereas Taxi will take €100 for airport. Hotel is very near to Marco Polo home, Can take Gondala Ride right in front of Hotel, Brilliant sitting arrangment in front of hotel to have Lunch or dinner right on side of Grand Canal. Price is competitive and staff really helpful and friendly and staff advice us which places we can visit in Venice and advice how to take Water Taxi. Buffet Breakfast is good in Hotel. Room was ok and cleaned all day with facility of Air conditioners, Bathroom, Fridge with all basic needs, and have traditional old furniture and mirror etc. Will recommend all to stay in this hotel if you really wants to enjoy Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge, No other hotel have this wonderful location as Marconi Hotel has. Highly recommended to all to book this Hotel Marconi, Venice, Italy. +39-041-5222068. Mrs Promila Rajani and Mr Pawan Kumar Rajani
Great location. Very close to the Rialto Bridge (1min walk). We stayed in Venice for two nights. Took the water taxi from the airport which was €27 return and took about 30-40mins. Stopped at the Rialto stop which was opposite the hotel. We requested a twin bedroom as it was my mum and I but when we were showed our room it was a double bed so went down to reception and he put us in a triple room((5)02)! The room was big and spacious compared to the first one but I guess that’s what you get for a triple room. The room included a mini bar/fridge, free (but slow) WiFi, sky tv (all in Italian unless you want to watch the stocks in English), little toiletries, hairdryer and personal safe. The room needs a bit of updating. No remote for the actual tv, paint peeling from the walls, buttons missing from the heating panel, a bit of mould on the bathroom grout but otherwise quite decent. Breakfast was okay. Hot food wasn’t hot. It only consisted of scramble egg, bacon and frankfurters. Otherwise you have toasts, pastries, yogurts, cold meats and hot tea and coffee and orange juice. Was a hesitant of the hotel because of the price and looks but will definitely come again because of the price and location. Everything is accessible and walking around to the north/south of Venice will only take around 30mins max.
We had room 101, which has 2 fantastic balconies just in front of the Canal Grande and is offering a great view on the Rialto Bridge. Room size was definitely enough to host 4 people. Breakfast had provision for both Italian and Continental options.
Tourists please take minimum baggage, as there is no elevator in the hotel. To reach there also we had to carry 4 big bags via around 80 staircase bridge. Then to the first floor . After reaching in the hotel room, if you are thinking of resting for a while , forget about it. Foul smell all inside the hotel and hotel Rooms. Rooms are exceptionally small, with haunted and horror movie kind of mirrors and lights. No coffee or tea maker provided. Staff was rude. Except the location of the hotel, and its bathrooms ( surprisingly ) nothing was good.
Stayed at the Marconi for 3 nights with friends. Hotel is located perfectly next to the Rialto bridge. Also we found a whole other area to explore behind the hotel. Hotel is a standard Venetian hotel, no lift, quite old fashioned but does the job. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast consists of things like, scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, pastries, cereals and toast etc.We didn’t have a canal view but did look into a quaint little street which was fine. The hotel is warm so if you’re a freezer you’ll be in your element! Beds, bathroom and room clean. Tv with only Italian channels, hairdryer in bathroom. Mini fridge in room is stocked with cans and water - chargeable (cans are €3.50). Front desk staff helpful. There was a €3 per night room tax per person which we only realised at check out but as we had such an awesome time this was perfectly acceptable. The alilaguna boat to airport is directly opposite hotel (€15). Would definitely stay here again and recommend to any visitors to Venice.
This hotel is in a perfect location, right next to the Rialto Bridge, a 10 min walk from St Mark's Basillica. The hotel is 'Venetian' in style, which is charming, however, it could do with a good deep clean (bedroom and public areas). On the other hand, our bathroom was very clean and the shower was amazing! So powerful. The bed(s) was 2 single beds pushed together and wasn't very comfortable, the safe and air con didn't work (yes we stayed in October but it was still warm). We had the windows open as we were warm (and sleep with the windows open at home) but it was SO NOISY outside! Shouting, crashing and banging from the neighbouring restaurants. Breakfast was ok, it set you up for the day but was pretty uninspiring. If I were to return to Venice I would stay here again purely for the location and the shower!
Great location - right near the Rialto Bridge. Walking distance to all the action. Old and traditional - which also means no lift! If you are able bodied it is great. Room was a bit dated but that added to the experience and you shouldn’t expect anything else in Venice. Very clean - everything in working order. Breakfast included.
I can't imagine a more ideally located hotel than this one. You walk outside the front door and see the Rialto Bridge every morning! Our room was a good size and had a very nice soaker bathtub which I enjoyed. The bed wasn't the most comfortable - but it wasn't bad and I was so tired after exploring Venice during the day that I had no problems sleeping! The people at the front desk were always polite and helpful - especially on our last day when it rained and they gave us large umbrellas to use! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you're going to be in Venice for a short period of time. If you will be staying more than a few days I would try finding a place with more comfortable beds and on a somewhat quieter street.
Whilst it's difficult to get a car on the main part of Sirmione there is onsite parking but do check before booking. The hotel is about 50meters from the lake and with 200 meters of most of the main area. There is a ½ mile walk up to the Roman ruins which are quite exceptional. We got bored looking at restaurants all offering the same thing so ate in the Hotel which was very good and of comparable price to everywhere else. The rooms had a very good bed and bathroom and being sited in a courtyard was quiet. I would say this hotel offered good value and would go again.
The hotel marconi situated right on the grand canal and next to the Rialto bridge. Room was fine , old style Venetian I believe they call it, murano glass lights wooden shutters over the Windows. Bath and shower all fine clean and reliable. Breakfast had a good selection; hot and cold items along with coffee and a selection of teas. Location was awesome - walk out the front door right on the canal and rialto, water busses stop either opposite side or a short walk . All the main attraction are easily reached. St marks sq very easy even the railway station . Plenty of restaurant's on the doorstep or a short walk away. Staff on the desk very helpful when needed. Revommended
