Well I did it again , wasn't sure about the location when I booked as on previous visits to this beautiful city had stayed near to St Marks. Well i needn't have worried , only a 20 minute ish walk to St Marks Square (more if you stop at all the shops on the way and the RIALTO BRIDGE heheh)This hotel is a Gem of a find for me the only negative Is no lift but that's cos I'm old and decrepit. The rooms were comfortale and the Triple glazing made them Quite .We were 4 adults and a 6 year old and we loved it ,Breakfast was ample .The staff were really friendly and helpful .My daughter had an issue with noisey guests ot side her room on 2 of the mornings ,when we told the lady n the desk she was mortified but reassured us that thos people were leaving that day.Overall A beautiful Hotel in a uieter area of Venice suitable for everyone .Plenty of places to eat just a few minutes walk away
We spent three nights at this lovely small hotel. The staff were friendly helpful, the hotel is clean, our bed was comfortable and had cotton sheets. The location is quite and you can walk to all the main sites in thirty minutes. Highly recommended.
This is a comfortable, inexpensive hotel. The owners at least one is always available. To a person their staff are kind, helpful and caring. We had the best time. We were there five nights and really felt like we were at home. It made our visit to Venice and the Veneto great. Their breakfast in the morning is outstanding. We loved it. Anytime I go to Venice I will attempt to stay here. The location is perfect for touring Venice or going on a tour on the mainland. Superb.
The Hotel Hesperia is within easy walking distance of all public transport services to/from the airport and the city. What the hotel lacks in modernity it more than makes up for in it's staff - they could not be more friendly and helpful. We had an en-suite room but there are rooms where the bathroom is on the corridor. The location is close to the Guglia waterbus stop and is therefore ideal for visiting Murano and Burano - waterbus stops for the city are about 500m distant. Nearbye restaurants are a little cheaper than those in the city center and small supermarkets are available. The continental breakfast is a good way to set yourself up for a day exploring the city.
This is a great family run hotel. Carolina and Martina are very helpful offering good advice about local restaurants and also phoned around to help me recover the wallet I managed to leave behind in a restaurant. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from St Marks Square but there is also a lot to see locally, with several good restaurants nearby. The orange line stop from the airport is a 5 minute walk away. We stayed in room 208, a split level room at the top of the hotel overlooking the canal. The only downside is that there is no lift but we did get help carrying out luggage upstairs from the owners.
Just stayed at this lovely Hotel with my husband, sister and her husband. Very friendly, family run hotel with everything you need for a short break. Location is fantastic and facilities just right. Very helpful staff and they are happy to answer any questions ie: where to visit and the best way to get there. I would definitely recommend this Hotel.
Pleasant stay in quiet, yet central part of Venice. Lots of good restaurants close by and within walking distance of everywhere. The hotel is quite basic but clean and comfortable and who goes to Venice to stay in hotel. I would choose to stay here again if I was lucky enough to return to Venice
For those who don't know Cannaragio is a great place for a hotel as it is near the Station and bus drop off points. This means not dragging luggage too far either on arrival or if you have to leave and the pick up bags on day of leaving. This hotel is warm, friendly, clean with some of the best staff I have met in some 10+ trips to Venice. Nice breakfast and all round great value.
Mixed feelings about this hotel Bad points The hotel is a little run down and I completely understand it's a old building with character but I think it's looking a little dated with furniture but also walls need filling with plaster and repainting. Reception smells when you walk in However the room we stayed in smelt very nice. Unfortunately we did not sleep first night due to drunks walking past and banging things. Which is not the hotels Fault but if you are a light sleeper it's probably not the best location. Also people staying on same floor we're noisy. Plug socket in our room was a little faulty when you put charger in the lights do flicker. Blanket made me itch so used the sheet Positives... Bed was comfortable Bathroom good size No lifts but we knew that and staff are friendly enough to help if your struggling. Staff friendly at the reception You can leave key at reception which is a good idea 24 hour reception Room smelt nice Clean tidy room Room was a good size Also has heating on so lovely and warm Hotel 3 star hotel and get what you pay for it's spot on
We only had one full day in Venice after arriving early on the train. We were happy to pay a little extra and upgrade to a room that was available at 9am, and it was perfect for us. Bathroom is basic but the room was really spacious and we had a great view of the canal. The breakfast was also great and had plenty of options! Everyone here was extremely helpful and friendly!
