We stayed here for two nights while on a trip around Europe. We chose a room with a shared toilet but in hindsight wish we paid more for an en-suite. The hotel was in a perfect location near the train station and had plenty of restaurants close by. We arrived early, but the owner happily stored our luggage and let us explore Venice. The safe within the room for tiny and couldn't even fit an iPad inside it. The breakfast was fine and you could help yourself to as much as you wanted. We walked everywhere around Venice as we knew the water taxi's were very expensive and staying here allowed us to do so easily. Overall the hotel was good value for money and staff were very helpful.
The hotel is perfectly located by the train station. 5-7 minute walk. The room was small but clean and nice. The breakfast was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. We had a beautiful view of the river from our window.
Just come back from 4 nights at Hotel Hesperia, and was really glad with the choice. The room was not huge, but it was clean , and the bed was really comfy, the windows do a great job of shutting out the noise. We had the breakfast included with our room, and this was a nice selection of pastries, breads, meats, fruit, coffee - set us up nicely for a day of exploring Venice. The staff are really friendly too. For us the location was pretty much perfect, with everything we wanted to do easily accessible, and a 5 minute walk each evening to watch amazing sunsets.
Stayed here for 2 nights before joining a med cruise and so glad we did, we arrived early knowing we were too early to check in but were offered safe storage of our luggage or the possibility of an upgrade to a canal view room which was already ready so we took that option for a small additional cost, it was worth every penny as having the windows open hearing life on the canal is fantastic. The rooms are classically decorated with elegant Murano glass chandeliers and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay with mini bar, air conditioning, TV and a room safe. Breakfast is a simple continental style breakfast but more than enough to satisfy even the most hungry traveller. The owners/staff were very helpful giving good advice on travel around Venice including the numbers of water buses and ordering us a water taxi for our journey to the cruise port. Just a note on the water taxi's, they are incredibly expensive we took a transfer from the hotel to the cruise port which is no more than 10 minutes and the cost was 70 euros. If we revisit Venice again we will definitely stay here, thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel Hesperia. This hotel is located in a fantastic position. The water ferry stops right outside the hotel and takes you to the airport and neighbouring islands such as Murano. The staff at the hotel were informative and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable and a well stocked continental breakfast was served each morning in the downstairs lounge. Our only fault during our stay was the noise. Although no fault of the hotel, we were women each morning by drilling from workmen outside and shouting from what I think was men working on the boats. The walls were also very thin and in the evening we could hear guests talking next door and guests asking questions at reception downstairs. Overall, this is a lovely hotel in a great position it was just unfortunate that our stay correlated with work outside and some noisey guests.
The location of this hotel is great, in the northern region of Venice it is only a 5 minute walk from the train station. When we checked in, we were given the opportunity to upgrade our room with a canal view but were told that as the air con was weaker, they had placed a 2nd unit in that meant the window couldn't be closed. This was not a problem though as it was a fairly quiet part of one of the canals. The room was simple and clean. The bed was made up of two singles joined together. These weren't fixed in place which wasn't an issue for sleeping but we did watch a film one rainy afternoon and they slid away from the wall alot! The bathroom had a stand up shower that wasn't the most powerful but did the job. Breakfast was included which was a simple continental buffet, not lots of choice but again did the job for us. We stayed for 2 nights and our room was cleaned whilst we were there. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this for people on a city break who are just looking for a base for the night.
Really enjoyed our stay here. It was a last minute booking when we realized we had booked a hostel on the other side of Venice. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was also great! Would recommend this lovely hotel.
Just to be clear this review is based on a stay in November a few years ago. I want one TripAdvisor then but I am returning to Venice this year so wanted to add my thoughts. This place has such fond memories for me. This hotel made my birthday break wonderful. Location- Fantastic! Beautiful waking up over looking the canal, walking over the bridge and being so close to everything. Staff- Very kind, helpful, welcoming and couldn't do enough to make my holiday special. Rooms- Cute, clean, spacious enough and comfortable. Value- Exceptional. Unfortunately there wasn't space for my planned trip this year but I look forward to walking past and maybe returning some day. It's lovely that local people still have a great hotel. Fantastic recommended restaurant/places to eat. GO THERE!
We literally walked into the hotel on a Saturday afternoon after realizing the airbnb we had arranged to stay in was not up to our standards (our loss). Giacomo at the front desk was very friendly and gladly showed me the room prior to our booking. It was lovely, canal view, small but nicely appointed room with Murano glass chandlier, sconces and mirror. There was a refrigerator in the room and the bathroom, linens, etc. were immaculately clean, the room was air conditioned. It is not a new hotel, but very charming. There is no elevator, but we were 1 flight up and got help with our bags. We were very comfortable there. The breakfast was very nice, with a lovely outdoor terrace. After checking out we were able to leave our bags at the hotel while we had one more lovely afternoon in Venice.
We stayed for 3 nights in triple room , we had a canal view that gave a special touch to our Venice holiday , time spent in room we were beable to see Venecian life , delivery boats , vaporettos going by , but with Windows closed at night there was no noise . Breakfast on the terrace was lovely and everyone working in hotel was very pleasant and friendly . Lots of places to eat reasonably in the área.
