Friendly staffs and helpful and close to train station, but I will never book the Hotel Hesperia Apt. Floor level again because bathroom very very small and the beds are old and very uncomfortable.

The staff were always friendly and happy to help. Great position away from the crowds but just opposite a water taxi stop so jt was easy to get around instead of always walking. Fortun8to have a canal view room 207. This is the 4th time in Venice, the first time at Hotel Hesperia but would definitely go back there and recommend it to friends.

Located steps away from the channel

The hotel was conveniently located near the Santa Lucia train station and one of the vaporetto stations, which is the most affordable way to move around the Venezian channel. The staff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was superb, and the room with a view to the channel. Couldn't ask for more.

Authentic Venetian experience

Hotel Hesperian was nice. The location is tricky to find at first, but once found, it was an easy to walk to other locations around the city. I recommend getting a room with the bathroom/shower attached. We did not. Our bathroom was private but located just down the hall about 10 feet. This was not a deal breaker but it took some getting used to (too be fair - I only have myself to blame for this mix up). Everything about the hotel was as advertised. Unfortunately, the A/C unit for our room went out on the second night, but the hotel accommodated us and moved us to another room with A/C. The wifi signal is great on the first floor, but becomes weak on the second floor. No biggie, we were on vacation, anyhow. The breakfast was delicious and the cappaciuno addictive. Overall, this hotel provided an authentic Venetian experience with a friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again.

Just what we needed for an overnight stay!

We stayed here for one night en route to Trieste and it met our needs in every way. The hotel is in an excellent location on Cannaregio and also had a rooftop terrace which I imagine would be especially lovely in summer. The room was small but adequate as it was just a place to sleep and shower plus it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate with cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, bread, fruit, yogurt and pastries. The staff were were polite, helpful and really lovely and we would definitely stay there again.

very nice

The hotel was very nice. I liked the location. It was near the train station and the water taxi service was nearby ( it is Venice after all). It was a bit high priced for what it was, but the the desk staff was excellent and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Room was clean.

Great for pre cruise

Great hotel wonderful people run it made very welcome Public water taxi 15 euro drops you off from airport directly opposite hotel Lady arranged porter 5 euro each case to take us to people mover then 1.5 euro to get to cruise port First time we have done this by ourself but so easy don't pay expensive taxi this is so easy would certainly recommend it You just jump on the orange line from the airport and get off at the second stop easy as that We arrived quite early and was upgraded to a studio just opposite the hotel it was lovely couldn't of asked for better or for better hosts Will certainly use this hotel again next time in Venice

OK hotel but no lift

The hotel is situated in Cannaregio, an OK area but there are nicer areas. It was quite expensive and yet did not have a lift which I think it should warn guests about. Staff were mixed - no-one offered to help with our bags. For the price we paid, I would stay at the Hotel Flora next time as it was the same price but much nicer, had a lift and was in San Marco.
