We enjoyed this location with plenty to do around but the room had a dank smell to it and it didn't seem to have any ventilation as it made it hot in the room at night. Staff was great, complimentary breakfast was very good. Centrally located. Maybe the fan wasn't working to cool the room. The bathroom was very nice, bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Water taxi dropped and picked us up no more then 10 feet from the door. As a whole nice place.

This hotel was perfect for our 4 night stay, clean, safe, quiet, convieniently situated, beautiful and breakfast was delicious. We didn't particularly need them but staff were discreet and helpful. Would definitely stay again next time i visit Venice.

My first impression of the hotel was its lack of any sense of business acumen, the woman at the front desk seemed to be to busy doing whatever is was, which seemed to be nothing on her computer. First strike. The entry into the room up the spiral staircase, although quaint, very precarious, the room itself was average in size and definitely underwhelming, and that’s where it all began, as we opened the door to the bathroom, we were overtaken with such a horrific stench that honestly I thought an animal had died in the room, I spoke with Mrs.Friendly from the front desk and she blamed it on the tides, I’ve stayed in many low lying areas like Venice before and I’ve be never had an issue like this, when we left for the day, it seemed they sprayed massive amounts of air fresheners to try and mask the odors, something like lipstick on a pig, needles to say, this only made the problem worse. Sleeping was a complete nightmare as well, the pancake pillows and the stench of the room were enough to keep me awake and add to all that the location of the hotel was on the canal, with the primary school next door and when the children let out, the access was a complete disaster. If I could rate the hotel in negative numbers, I certainly would, The STAFF and the STENCH were unbearable. DO NOT BOOK

We lived this hotel. It’s such a beautiful landmark building and in a perfect location, close up everything. We hired the porter service and walked from the S.Lucia train station to the hotel in 20 minutes. We walked at 3 am to the hotel thru the streets of Venice with no issues. Our deluxe room was like a dream room from a palace with a spacious bathroom and amenities. The water taxi was conveniently right by hotel entrance and we were able to go to and back from the carnival ball. If i come back next year ant any time again., staying here again. All staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, everyone was nice and friendly, English speaking do no problems communicating, the only thing on facility is they have no elevator, at least not yet. Do be prepared to get a porter if you have problems carrying the luggage. Other than that all perfect!!!!! Was

Just a 10 min walk to everywhere. Taxi stop outside the door. Very clean with friendly staff. No lift but stairs were easy. Breakfast was just ok, not a huge choice but there are so many eateries nearby. My only complaint would be limescale on the shower head and no milk cartons in the room. Would definitely use again.

Property was in a great location, very safe, quiet after 10-11pm and quiet in the morning. Breakfast was good and very convenient with a good view! Bathroom was spacious with great water pressure and plenty of hot water, hvac worked great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the fact they stored our luggage after we checked out before we had to go back to the train station. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is beautiful , like a real antique , however hotel doesn't have lift ( seems is normal in Venice) we were in second floor with super tight stair case which was difficult to take luggage, The staff were vey kind and help us to carry some luggage , but I twisted one of my knuckles when taking a suitcase to upstairs.

Staff was very helpful. You can take a water taxi right to the front door of the hotel. Rooms were well kept, breakfast was nice every morning. Hotel was walking distance to San Marco and other sites.

The location is near the Rialto bridge and not far from many tourist attractions. You can catch a water taxi up to the front of the hotel. The staffs were very friendly and gave many good recommendations. There were many great restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is beautiful and we love our stay there

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Extremely well placed for walking everywhere. Only 5 minutes walk from Rialto bridge and the vaporetto stop from the airport.

The hotel was exquisite! On the canal and perfectly appointed. The staff was lovely and the breakfast buffet was more than anyone could ask for. We loved the Hotel Antico Doge!
