Looking out on the canal and the gardens of the Peggy GuggenheimCollection, we were perfectly situated near the Academia bridge in the interesting to explore Dorsoduro neighborhood. Our rooms were well outfitted and comfortable. Irene and Silvia welcomed us and were extremely helpful in making local suggestions and the entire staff was lovely and accommodative.
This is our 2nd time to visit Venice and DD 694 was perfect for our family of 3 — my daughter had her own room and bath adjoining our room. Knowing the small spaces in Venice, this boutique hotel really felt private and warm. The neighborhood is hip as safe and just a stone’s throw away from the Guggenheim.
We stayed 3 nights at DD724. Slightly hidden down a narrow alley in Dorsoduro, we loved the off-the-beaten path location (super close to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.) The understated décor is chic and the service is top notch. Our room was stylish and cozy. The knitted wool blanket at the end of the bed made for relaxing afternoon naps and the daily breakfast is fabulous. The staff is attentive, accommodating and kind, always giving personalized attention. We highly recommend this fashionable and private hotel! Not to be missed while visiting - (for dinner:) Al Covo and Antiche Carampane. And, definitely find out what photography exhibition is at Tre Oci on Giudecca.
Great location (next to the boat stop Academia) - I stayed here for seven nights. My room was spacious, modern and clean equipped with everything I needed. I loved the closet (see picture) and all the attention to details.. The daily breakfast buffet spread along with the served eggs and bacon was delicious. The staff gets to know you and personalize your experience. You can walk to several fabulous restaurants and shops nearby, but you can walk anywhere within 15-20 minutes. I will stay here again when I come back! You will love the experience at Charming House!!
We stayed 3 nights at DD694 (Annex Building) in Dorsoduro. Our room was modern, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent (the best we had during our Italy trip), especially the cook to order bacon and eggs, croissants, ham and freshly squeezed orange juice. Silvia and Irene were very friendly and helpful. Lovely gesture of welcome drink to enjoy in the comfort of our room :) We had a wonderful stay at DD694, will definitely consider staying here if we have the chance to visit Venice again :)
Thanks for all charming house staff it was great service ,we ate happy to book this hotel, we’ll definitely book back if we visit Venice again
We stayed 3 nights to visit the Biennale. The hotel has been the point of rest and quiet after full days in exhibitions. The staff (as well as the owner we met the day of our departure) are very accommodating and service focused and make you feel really welcome. The breakfast is just great with fresh squeezed OJ and eggs to order your style. Plenty to take you through a good part of the day. We had a problem with odor in the room but this is a problem common in Venice and the staff did everything they could to make our stay pleasurable (including bringing well smelling candles and prosecco to the room). The location in excellent -- a few steps from the boat stop Academia and from the Peggy Guggenheim Foundation. Plenty of excellent restaurants in the area and most places can be reached by walking within 20 minutes or so. Two stops by boat to San Marco. This is a place we are going to come back to.
DD724 is a really lovely, stylish hotel and in a fantastic location. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, organising another room when we decided to stay on longer, advising on restaurants and being generally delightful in the fussing over stakes. Breakfast is delectable and generous, fresh fruit, cereals, croissants and the best scrambled eggs we've eaten in a long time. Our room, was elegant, spacious and with tea/coffee/biscuits/water on offer. Dorsoduro is the best district for exploring Venice, with galleries, good restaurants and bars within reach, and is beautiful and atmospheric and away from the hideous crowds. Highly recommend.
This is a sweet place with lots of charm. Great breakfast and a wonderful staff. The location is perfect. It's modern with an eye for detail. The owner was there in the mornings to help with information and gave great tips on were to shop and good restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay but feel Charming House and Venice as a whole is so expensive for what you get. The room and hotel was far smaller than what I expected. I’ve paid far less in other areas of Europe and received much, much more value for money. The breakfast was great, the staff were helpful and friendly but still remains overpriced for me.
