We went here based on most of the reviews on here and it did not disappoint. We arrived early but they said no problem and served us drinks. Our bill was super cheap for the meal and drinks we ordered. The food was hot and delicious and the tiramisu was perfect. If you're staying at the Marriott, it's a short walk down the street and it's well worth the time.
Spent my Birthday here in June - and wasn't disappointed. I found the staff to be really friendly and helpful and the hotel charming!. The hotel is about a 2 min walk from a fantastic beach and a 15 minute walk to the main town (buses also run nearby), where boats to St Mark's Square are abundant. Beach towels and rental bikes are available in the hotel. There is a lovely little residents bar and the restaurant is more than adequate. Very nice breakfast, served in the leafy garden when the weather is fine. My expectations were surpassed! A fantastic mini break here.
Nice hotel with excellent service and welcome. Quiet but well located. Nice large rooms, large terrace for the breakfast (included). Very good place ! Our group of pilots has enjoyed the place!! Recommanded by us!
The Quattro Fontane Hotel is a charming bed and breakfast type hotel in the Lido section of Venice. It is an extremely quiet location in a lovely setting. We arrived there from the airport on a water taxi that took approximately 15 minutes. The room for a single was small, but more than adequate for me. The bathroom was also small but adequate. The breakfast was satisfactory with the dinner quite good. The hotel has Wifi, but it is not a very strong signal. The staff was quite friendly and helpful to me. The hotel is a distance from central Venice, but a walk to the water taxi gets you to where you need to go. Overall, I just loved the flavor and ambience of this hotel. I would definitely recommend the hotel for those who like a bed and breakfast type facility.
Was excited to stay here with a tour group- photos were amazing and inviting! Upon arrival- was quite pleased with the charm of this building and the spacious patios to relax! Double bonus- it's only one block from a beach! However- that's all I have to say that's positive. Customer service was absolutely horrible or non- existent, depending on the staff member. The AC in our room was out, so I asked the front desk to check it and left for dinner. Got back to discover it was still out so asked again. Was told since I took the room key to dinner with me, they didn't check on the AC. What? I was then told the AC on the whole 2nd floor was out, so they 'guessed' they would put us in a different room. Found out another couple in our group had changed rooms 3 times for the same AC problem! The door to our new room didn't lock from the outside, so we reported this as well. Was told 'yeah, we know.' (Followed by blank stare). Asked for towels for the beach- those aren't provided. They also refused to give us a second set of towels if we took our room set to the beach. Ok- I'll air dry. We were forbidden to eat breakfast outside, told only that we must eat inside as we were in a group. Funny, the 20 of us are eating the exact same breakfast buffet the other 4 non-group guests are. Why do you have this spacious, inviting wrap around patio if guests aren't allowed to use it? Planned to have dinner at the in-house restaurant after a long day in Venice. Nobody there to greet us, no tables set, no other guests dining. Heard lots of noise coming from the kitchen. Waited patiently for several minutes. Finally asked the bored clerk at the front desk if the restaurant was open and she said 'yes, just go in there'. So, walked back and stood in the middle of the restaurant and waited some more. Finally took the hint that there would be no dinner service tonight and walked into town instead. Charming site, but the feeling we were unwelcome and an inconvenience doesn't make up for it. Stay elsewhere!!
A quiet place, with only birds to disturb you. A small garden for a perfect breakfast, surrounded by a nice atmosphere of courtesy and politeness. The room was good, the bed comfortable, only the shower could have been better. But no one is perfect. A note about price: it is expensive.
This is a beautiful hotel with a delightful staff. As you disembark the water taxi, you walk along the quaint streets on a sidewalk with walls overflowing with flowers. You feel as if you're walking through the flower market. The birds are chirping and the breeze carries those lovely floral scents. Then you arrive and walk through the archway into the hotel. Each room is beautifully appointed with antique furniture and comfort of every kind, including lap throws if needed. The location is away from the crowded main Venice, just a short boat ride away. There is breakfast in the courtyard under the shade of a magnificent tree. The all around charm makes this a fairytale stay.
We arrived early on a Saturday and left late on Monday evening spending the weekend in Venice. My daughter and I had a room at the front of the hotel looking down on to the lovely outside seating area. We loved the position of the hotel being really close to the beach yet in walking distance of the ferries to access the main island. The hotel has such a mix of furniture and fixtures that sometimes you think it is a little odd but it does work. Our bedroom had furniture that was 20s classy art deco but the floor and bathroom tiles were straight out of the 70s. It did work and you just thought how Italian! Some times the service was a little slow and some staff seems a bit grumpy but again I think that is the Italian way. The breakfast buffet was as good as any you get in much grander hotels and the staff in the morning were always cheerful. The coffee was plentiful and very good which is my measure for a good breakfast
Where do I start? First the good. The grounds are beautiful and so was the view from our room. The staff was ok but they always seemed like we we're bothering them when we ask a question. The breakfast was really good with a lot of choices. Best part of staying here. Now let the bad begin. First the staff tells you that everything is only 10 minutes away. The shops are still p minutes away. The Valparaiso is 10 minutes away, etc. trust me on this, double every time estimation they give you. I'm not sure if they just say 10 minutes to make you feel good but it took us at least 20 minutes to get anywhere and we're in shape! Now the rooms, small but cozy but very thin walls. So thin that if the person in the room next to you sneezes you'll catch their cold. Every noise all night long is easily heard. Now this place has a restaurant attached to it and how did I like the food? I don't know because the one time I tried to eat there it was only open to a private party so guess what. Yes, time to walk 20 minutes to try to get something to eat. So to sum it up. This place is to far from anywhere, the staff is somewhat moody, the walls are paper thin and even though they have a restaurant you can't eat there. Would I stay here again. I think you know the answer to that.
We stayed here for a long weekend towards the end of the season and would recommend this hotel. The staff looked after us really well, nothing was too much trouble, rather refreshing. The hotel was clean and welcoming. The quiet location of the Lido provides a nice balance to the busy, crowded island of Venice. You can walk or taxi to the water bus terminal from the hotel and then pick a stop of your choice and jump off and explore.
