The bus was close but too far for someone with medical condition. Finding the entrance to the hotel was very difficult, signage was very limited and poor. The room was spacious and very clean. No information available if there was ice machine, cream for the coffee pods.

It’s a good place to stay if you are at the university. Clean, air conditioning works great, kitchen is well equipped. The bed is not that comfortable and the price is quite ridiculous for what you get but it is convenient. Parking on the weekend can be difficult but they do provide you a parking pass (it was included for us).

Pleasantly surprised by this stay. Property has clearly been recently renovated and is in excellent condition. Campus life during stay and access to amenities (new Rec and Aquatic facilities) was excellent. Decent food options (albeit too much reliance on chains). Amazing access to ocean views and beach. Will stay again when next traveling with my kids.

UBC Gage Suite Apartment

Couldn't stay the first night as it was unusually a cold night and no heating in the unit. Informed front hotel they said they can't help as heat is turned off for the building and will bring a portable heater and later informed me that they don't have any heater left. I got sick with a bad cold as the room temperature in the living room and bedroom was 13C Had to leave around 10:30 pm to leave and stay with a friend in his place in Vancouver island.

We love the privacy of the room, the cleanliness of the room, but one thing we had difficulty with was how to find the room directions were truthfully inadequate just giving a couple of sheets of paper does not necessarily mean it’s easy to find, but thanks for the rest of the good things
