Just a great hotel. The city is not the best but this hotel is an old building aging well.

Easy and friendly. Not much more to say. Have a great night.

Very nice hotel...looks just like the picures...i would come again

We loved everything! The food was delicious and the room was beautiful and very comfortable

Was a great looking hotel. The interior of the entrance area was really cool. Rooms were great.

The fascinating history, the lovingly cared for interior decor.

The beautiful historic look of the propertt is amazing. The rooms very updated, spacious and beautiful. The elevators were tiniest I've even been in, but were probably necessary to prserve the historic architecture. Within walking distance to the Utica Train station. My only small complaint is they need to pay closer attention to deatail when restocking the rooms. When you are resuppling a double you should ensure three are two sets of everything on the coffee stations- two cups, two of each coffee, two of each teas bag. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Just stay away from the onsite restaurant. They were horrible, but thats for anither review.

The hotel is getting better. It's the place I stay at when i come to Utica. orOne suggestion. The entrance to the dining room restaurant, not the bar, the restaurant is very tall and wide. For much of the year that is fine but during the late fall to the middle of spring it allows cold air to sweep in from the lobby which has no foyer barriers between the outside of the building and the lobby. The cold air penetrates the restaurant from the street. I suggest you create a barrier at the entrance by adding a foyer or reduce the size of the entrance to the restaurant and add doors there to keep cold air from sweeping in. There is also a problem with the AC/Heat controls in some of the rooms. On this visit and the last I had to ask the front desk to send someone up to set it so I could operate it. It got looked into a no operation mode. I could lower or raise the temperature in my room.

Hotel Utica is absolutely gorgeous. I love the cookies and the coffee. The room was immaculate and comfortable in every way. Thanks for the complementary water also. I just love staying there.

Given a choice between a cookie cutter hotel chain and a unique historic hotel, I am generally inclined to support and choose the latter. My brief stay at Hotel Utica was entirely satisfactory. Very moderately priced, the hotel was clean, the included breakfast was very good, the staff was friendly, the parking was free and convenient. I got a good night's sleep.

I stayed at Hotel Utica whilst visiting my son at college. The price for a large, clean, comfortable room with a view of the city was very reasonable. Staff was very helpful and pleasant and the hotel was quiet and close to everywhere I had to go.

Our room was extremely comfortable. Carpet very clean and overall room very clean. We had a beautiful view of the city skyline. The building itself is beautiful. It has quite a history with lists of famous people who stayed there. Presidents like Franklin D. Rooselvelt among many movie stars. The hotel lobby is 'tired' and renovation will begin Nov. 2016. The Hotel Utica will be spectacular when its finished !

This is a lovely hotel and the room I had was very clean and spacious. The only complaint I had was that there was no easy way to get luggage into the hotel. There was no ramp from the parking lot to inside the hotel, and there were 10-12 steps that luggage needed to be carried to get into the hotel door. Also, the elevator in the hotel was extremely small, almost too small for more than one person at a time, especially if they had luggage.

The hotel was nice. My room appeared a little outdated but was comfortable overall. The staff members were very nice and helpful.

We were surprised to learn every hotel door had stairs. (This was difficult to carry suitcases up and down the stairs.). Lobby was stunning. However the room had broken furniture, torn chair arms, rugs were stained, curtain was broken. Bath tub had dirt dumped or left in tub. Television was an old 22" tv. Very deceiving from the web images. Disappointing....

I enjoyed my first stay last year so much I was disappointed I couldn't book the whole weekend this year, now glad I stayed elsewhere Fri & Sat. Not their fault that local kids pulled fire alarm at 3 AM; was their fault we got called back down to the lobby immediately after the first alarm was over, and that yellow residue of some sort coated one of the two elevators for for hours afterwards. Also woke up with bug bites on my neck. Yuck. Sorry. I don't mind the broken tiles in the lobby so much, but you could scrape the gum off the floor. King bed very comfortable.

Hotel is gorgeous but unfortunately being sold to a chain so the staff are unsure of their futures. I love the ambiance and character. It was clean, the room was big, there were plenty of outlets and the bartender and server was polite and accommodating. The parking lot needs better security lighting. If I were rich, I would buy this property and preserve its history.
