Room was fine except the heat did not work. Did not spend much time in the room before going to sleep and woke up to 65°, adjusted thermostat from 70° to 72° and it didn’t kick on. Another room I was in had a broken TV, another stated they did not have a refrigerator.

Very disappointed with check in. Arrived at 2:15 which admittedly is bit early for their 3:00 policy. We were told rooms were being cleaned and that was okay. However, it was 2 hours before we finally got our room. Apparently a hockey team were allowed to stay in their rooms until 3:00. This is not acceptable when they have new guests expecting a room be ready. Totally blame this on the management of this hotel. We rarely give bad reviews, but in this case feel it was justified.

We were very happy with the upgrades of the hotel and the rooms since the last time we stayed there 11 years ago. Everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained. It was nice to stay in a place with some character and history too. The best thing about the stay was the staff. Virtually everyone, from the front desk, maids, bartender at the restaurant, and even the maintenance guy we met in the elevator was genuinely nice and accommodating to us. The only suggestion I have is an upgrade of the tp.
