Only problem was with the cable TV not functioning well and one don't have time calling for maintenance to fix it
I like this hotel. The employees were polite and accommodating. They were helpful and patient with all our requests and questions. The room was clean and supplies were restocked every day. I like that this hotel is walking distance to all the places I visited so i had my exercise and at the same time saved on cab fare.
Hotels Rooms need a minifridge and safe. Parking was convenient.
Anna the woman who checked us in was wonderful. She was quite friendly and recommended a terrific restaurant for us for dinner. Room was comfortable and clean. The two men working the desk in the morning were not friendly and quite stiff. There was only one ice machine in the building and difficult to find in the basement.
easy to get to everything, hotel staff is helpful, room smells stale and someone was smoking in the hallway. Breakfast is expensive for what it is.
Hall way smell very smokey, and bath room too small you cant even move around
hotel rooms smelled musty but otherwise great location, great stay and staff was really pleasant.
It would be a good idea for the hotel rooms to have a fridge and room safe.
A good hotel in general. Staff was nice. Room was very nice.
We like that this hotel is located within walking distance of subways, shopping and theatres. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The restaurant serves a delicious breakfast at a very reasonable price.
The hotel was very conveniently located for walking around Toronto, although the block it's on is slightly sketchy at night. Room was nice and clean and staff were helpful
I booked this hotel thinking I would be able to walk to Rogers baseball park according to the information. Not close enough to walk it was a short subway ride. the Hotel was clean but off the beaten path in back of Yonge a few blocks and you had to go through a neighborhood. It was a ok Hotel not luxurious but do able.
The man who is working in the front desk is not friendly. The garbage basket was not clean and placed by the bed.
Hotel is more like a motel. 3 star on a good day. Skip the food inside. Area not ideal since Jar vis seems to be a magnet for homeless people due to shelters on this street. Hotel itself not bad but for the price I would never stay again.
The only good thing about it was the location. It is way too pricey for what you get. I would have rather paid an extra $50 and been at a 5 star hotel. Will not go here again.
on arrival, nothing special, but once in the room, impossible to switch on the light (had to call maintenance), temperature 16°C, ridiculous!, no chairs in the room (only 1 office chair), I had asked for a king-size and got without prior notice a (small) queen-size bed and a not asked for upgrade with a sort of sitting room.; but everything small, no central light and the other standing or side lamps inefficient The bath was very small (not even 4 square meter!), only 1 towel, the bathrobes had to be asked for, the light in the shower was not working (took them 2 days and 2 demands to fix it). The toilet paper was not renewed on time. The power outlets were or hidden behind desk, or so far away from the (miniscule courtesy) cafe maker that we had to put the cafe maker on the floor. The pool was another disaster: small, extremely shallow and fresh, the notice in the changing rooms: wash before swimming!, but no soap in the dispensers; the towels had to be asked at the reception desk, the fitness room was the size of a private fitness room, no water dispensers or paper towels. The maintenance was bad, a half used bar of (courtesy) soap was left sitting on the sink in its soap stained cup, the contraption under the sink for storing the towels (small and not soft) fell apart. The rooms were cleaned very superficially. As a test, I dropped an information leaflet from the desk, 4 days later it was still lying on the ground. never to be booked again I do not know if this is the usual situation for the Ramada hotels, but this is definitively below acceptable standard
I didn't expect the large amount of space! There was a separate living room area with flatscreen, cable, bar fridge and microwave, and the bedroom also had a large flatscreen, with large desk and workspace, and walk-in closet. The pool is small and shallow, the hot tub is fair, the sauna and steam room are amazing!
We stayed again at the Ramada Plaza Hotel because it has everything we need, especially rooms with 2 queen beds, underground parking, decent rates and a good location. It is near shopping, the subway, restaurants and right across the street from the botanical garden. You can walk to the subway in 10 minutes or less, and be at the Air Canada Centre or Rogers Centre in 4 subway stops. The hotel staff is great and responds to requests in less than a minute. This was the 5th or 6th time we stayed there and we've had a positive experience each time.
The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were very friendly and efficient. The room is average size (but crowded when the sofa bed is being used), very small bathroom. Clean room and bathroom. Mattresses were very uncomfortable in both beds. They were either old or worn out. Mattress in sofa bed was typical of a sofa bed--thin and uncomfortable. Parking is close by, and there were more than enough spots available, although there is an additional charge for parking (but free parking is hard to find in the downtown area). Internet is free, but is very slow. Pool is adequate, nothing fancy, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were all good. I would recommend if you are able to get a good rate.
Used the hotel as a base to explore downtown Toronto and the location couldn't have been better. Close to all the major attractions and pick ups available for many tours. Room was a great size. Everything was spotless and well maintained. Best of all the indoor swimming pool was actually warm! Staff were helpful and looked after all our needs. Would definitely go back to this one.
