Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Very disappointing experienceAs a travel agent and hospitality manager with 35 years of experience in Florida, I can honestly say this was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. When we arrived with our two-year-old grandson, the house was 87F and extremely uncomfortable. The property was also very dirty, with spiders, bees, and flies. The dishes, pans, and oven were filthy. Although we contacted the host several times and were assured the problems would be addressed, we eventually had to clean the property ourselves.The outdoor area was unusable because of raccoons and a large amount of animal feces.The most unacceptable part was being told on Friday at approximately 5:00 PM, while we were downtown, that our reservation was cancelled and we had only two hours to leave. With two children and being away from the property, this was impossible. The following morning, we were told to vacate by 10:00 AM. We were effectively forced out and had to find another property for our family.We were told the reason was that the house had been sold. If that was the case, why was it rented to us for six days in the first place?This experience was extremely stressful and completely unacceptable. Based on the condition of the property, cleanliness issues, pest problems, and the way our reservation was handled, I would not recommend this property to other travelers.
