Overall is good and newness. The woman traveler don't be worry about facilities. It has all completed and quality (Soap,Shampoo, conditioner, handsoap, toner, face cleanser, lotion, hair dryer) Also new towels and pajamas set can be changed by everydays. Mattress has comfy but the upstair room not suitable for Elder or physical health concern. Morever, you can enjoy massage chair, relax foot machine. The location of hostel is near Ameyoko market and not far from Keisei Ueno station by walk around 5 mins or less than. But it complicated to find for first time you come cause this hostel name have 3 branches around there. But If you're looking for the quiet and private zone, this place was not recommended. As the title, it has good for stay only 1 or 2 nights for me.
The location was very close to Ueno Park which was my destination and there are a lot of food stalls near the hotel. The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The only thing that bothered me a little is the location of the lockers which was on a very tight space near the window. But all in all, my stay was very nice!
Was pretty good, strange layout but comfortable and friendly, helpful staff. We booked the 4 bed room which was quite snug, was adequate for our needs though. Room had 4 separate lockers for each bed, and a small window out the back. Room was heated to at your discretion. Beds were large and comfortable. Women's shower room was fantastic, plenty of private showers and good facilities with provided shampoo and conditioner ect. Men had an onsen. 7/11 just downstairs and plenty of places to eat and explore. Was approximately a 7 min from the Uneo train station. Overall for price and location would highly recommend.
This is a capsule hostel with TV , personal light and electric outlet in each capsule. I always wanted to try and stay in a capsule. It is located in Ueno district close to metro station. It has several floors separately for men and women, also a sauna and lounge area. However, shower is only on one floor together with the sauna. There is no kitchen where you could cook. But since it is located in the middle of the market, there is lots of cafes. Everything was clean, small lockets for small bags, no big lockers for luggage bags. The sheets were clean.
I spent a week here with my boyfriend. We stayed in the mixed dorm. I firstly found it ridiculous how men's and women's facilities were separate. And to find out that I couldn't use the advertised jacuzzi, sauna and tv room, paying the same price as my boyfriend was frustrating. On the other hand I can't fault the hostel otherwise. It was comfortable, perfect location, was more luxurious than most hostels I've been in. We received pyjamas and luxurious care products. Over all this hostel is very good and I would definitely return.
I booked this room whilst traveling with an old male friend and really would have preferred a mixed gender dorm so we could hang out more but there were none available. What we did not realize when booking was that there were also no facilitates for men and woman to be social together as the social areas are too also separated by gender. The gender discrimination I felt particularly miffed by was when I realized my (female) capsule room was more expensive than the male rooms and the men also had access to an onsen bath but the women do not. Perhaps, a fault of my own for overlooking this aspect of the hotel when booking but still not a great hotel to choose if you are a lady looking for a Japanese onsen experience. If you are fine with the sexist values and prefer to stay away from men this place is clean, quiet and comfortable and do provide you with pair of pajamas every night.Though I did not wear them because it was rather hot in my capsule pod so not good for me. Also, I found it hard to sleep because the main lights were shining and the curtain let some light through so not great choice for the light sensitive as I could not find a way to turn the light off at night. The ladies do have access to free toiletries, a dressing area with mirrors and hairdryers. Each guest has a key and a locker for valuables. On the second floor the ladies had a place to be social, a kitchen area with a microwave, a Japanese zen garden, coin operated massage chair and Japanese manga books. Overall, a clean and quiet stay with some frustrating elements as it did not really meet my needs or expectations.
Was staying on the third floor on ladies floor, there are not many facilities provided just room and shower room for ladies, the public bath and sauna provided only for the man. + Good location, in the center of Ameya Yokocho market + Walking distance to keisei line, ueno station - Even though the floor only for ladies but you can still see man wander around - The check in time is 2pm, the website write 12
The place was under renovation when I stayed here. Hopefully they are done by now. Got the deluxe bed and never had an issue with it. Within walking distance from Keisei Skyliner and Ueno station so you can easily tour around Tokyo and travel back to Narita Airport to catch your flight.
Overall hotel was good for its price. Stayed in the superior capsule and found it rather pleasant. Only issue is that the neighbors can be pretty noisy at night. About a 300m walk away from keisei and JR ueno station so location wise it’s awesome. Having stayed at 3 other capsule hotels which are super anti tattoos. (2 of them tried to kick me out after I pre booked it and already paid on Agoda) It’s a refreshing to finally be able to take a bathe and enjoy the suana without everyone staring at you.
What I like about this hotel: Best things about this hotel is price. It's a lot cheaper than other type of hotel in Tokyo. Another point is the location of the hotel, it's right on Ameyoko shopping street (this sopping street filled with a lot of food, free tax). From here I can also easily go to famous location in Taito. Ex: 3 minutes walk to Ueno park (Ueno zoo); 20 minutes walk to Akihabara. And also near train station, very convenience and good spot for traveler What I didn't like: I stayed in a lower capsule near the stair on 3rd floor. That time it's winter so it's kind of really cold (my capsule near the stair and stair always open so the cold air blow in really easy). It's a small space so when you stay in, it likely to get dusty really quick. If you are allergic or sensitive to dust you should take precaution about this . One more things is the locker, it's smaller then I expected, you hardly hang your cloth properly in this locker
