The overall experience was great but not excellent. The delta between the two is their policy not to replace linens and clean rooms unless your stay is longer than 7 days.

Nice, albeit small hotel room. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I asked them to hold my luggage for a few hours, after I checked out, and they happily obliged. Room was small, but this is Tokyo, so I wasn’t surprised. I liked the bathroom, lovely toilet and shower. The room itself was clean, and so was the rest of the hotel. The hotel is also in a great location in Nishi Shinjuku. You are super close to the Nishi Shinjuku gochome station, just a few minutes away. When I return to Tokyo, I would definitely stay at Tokyu Sty Nishi Shinjuku!

The hotel was exactly as it was portrayed. It was a nice business style hotel with small rooms and friendly staff. The location is convenient being close to Shinjuku and also close to two different metro stations. I would certainly choose to stay here again.

A lovely hotel, close to a park and a metro stop. Very helpful staff, spacious and very quiet room. Couldn't ask for better.

Staff spoke English, for the most part wasn’t hard to understand. Room was small but it’s Tokyo you should already be expecting that. Walking distance to a lot of different things and for those who want it a McDonald’s is literally 10 steps from the main door. Great place to stay.

This was my third and last hotel in Japan. My friend and I booked it, thinking we were close to our other friends (Shinjuku is a large city folks...) but we were in another area of Shinjuku. Cheap and small hotel room BUT is totally worth it. Why? One item folks: Washer and Dryer INSIDE your room. After dealing with the typhoon that hit, my clothes were ruined but here comes the washer and dryer. Life saver folks. I was starting to run out of clean clothes so this made me super happy. Also, next door is a 24 hour McDonald's, on a street with like 4 - 6 Family Marts, a Lawson (for you smokers here, this Lawson has a smoking room; the hotel does not), and next to a shrine and Shinjuku's Central Park. All in all, super cheap, small rooms, but SUPER worth it.

I have stayed at this hotel a total of 25+ nights on various occasions, sometimes short and sometimes longer. Generally i'm pleased because it's very practical and convenient. What I don't like is that the staff/management offers zero flexibility in any way. On this reservation I arrived at the hotel at 1:45pm and was told if I want to check in before 3pm I'd have to pay a fee. After staying at the hotel more than 25 nights (where other chains give you a nice Platinum card with hard benefits) they actually wanted money for checking in roughly an hour before. Eventually they relented after I told management either I check in now or I will cancel my reservations and refund the money. The same goes for check-out, you can bet that as soon as the clock hits 11am someone will call your room asking you to check out. No, they won't wait until 11:05 or 11:10, they will call you at 11:01. Unbelievable!

Nice Staff, Convenient, Comfy bed, Price Reasonable

Very good location, near a Metro Station, restaurants, and touristic points of interest; Hepful personal.
