We stayed here for 2 nights. Accessible from both Ueno station. Walkable distance to Sensoji jingu, Asakusa, Akihabara. Small rooms for our liking. Barely any space to move around. No cub boards. Spotless everywhere. Toiletries set provided in the bathroom which was handy. Prompt reception staff. Pyjamas in the room too. Recommended.
Excellent location - 3 mins walk from Inaricho station, one stop from Ueno. Small restaurants and MacDonalds within walking distance. No adaptors required, multi USB provided for phone and ipad charging Clean and comfortable bed, and even pyjamas provided! Slight inconvenience - old fashioned toilet bowl - not heated, and no bidet functions.
My partner and I stayed here twice in one trip (3 days initially at the beginning, 12 days at the end after everything else) and was by far the best hotel of the holiday. Pleasant staff, very comfortable bed and large rooms where we could actually open our luggage and still have room to walk around. We even had a small couch in our room. Spacious bathroom (better than most, at least) and good working aircon. Bonus is that it's barely a 10 minute walk from Ueno Station! So wonderful location as well. Wonderful hotel, highly recommended.
Our stay coincided with the neighbourhood temple festival and we had the most unbelievably awesome time joining in the fun of parading with the portable shrine. The hotel was located near 2 stations, clean and amenities were good. Value for money for Tokyo standards and definitely will go back for our next trip if the price is right.
We recently spent six nights at this hotel and we were very satisfied with the service and the location. The superior room was confortable and clean, and people at the front desk were really acommodating (helped us sending our luggage forward to our next hotel between other things). The neighbourhood is calm and the hotel is close to many interesting sights that can be reached by foot (asakusa temples, Ueno park, etc). We'll make sure to stay again at this hotel the next time we'll be visiting Tokyo.
Hotel Mystays is a perfectly good example of a Japanese business hotel. It has exactly what you need, and no extra. Of course the room is small, this is Tokyo, but it is well situated in walking distance of Ueno and Asakusa. The staff are helpful too.
This hotel offers very small rooms but once you unpack and get out and explore it doesn't seem that small. The rooms are clean and tidy, it's in a nice location and overall my friend and I really enjoyed it and would go back.
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 12 nights this summer. Hotel is not far from Ueno station or Keisei Skyliner station (maybe 15min walk) and Inaricho subway station (Ginza line) is only 5 min.walk away. The hotel was easy to find, but you may get confused because there is another MyStays hotel very near. The hotel staff was very nice. Not all of them spoke good english but that wasn't a problem for us. We took the superiordouble room with breakfast. The breakfast was ok,the selection was almost the same every day so it started to get boring after a week. The breakfast is only 7-9, it would be nice if it was up to 10. The room was very clean and looked modern. It's not very big,but we managed to work it out even we had 4 luggage. We had 140cm wide bed and it was good for us (we are quite big people :) ) . I loved the pillows! The room had good airconditioning, small fridge, kettle,tv (no english channels), hair dryed, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel etc. The toilet was the hightech one with washing and seat heating. There was a tub in the bathroom. If you are 185-190cm tall you will have a little trouble to fit in the shower. Near the hotel is lots of restaurants and supermarkets. Every night we walk to Ueno or Asakusa,it was nice these places were so close to the hotel. You can see the Tokyo Skytree from the hotels street. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We loved the location and the clean and modern room. We think the price is good for this hotel. I could go again.
This is a good hotel near Ueno station. The area is quiet, still the location is central and hotel is easy to find. The room was very small for two people with big luggages. In our room we were able to use a refrigerator, tv, electric water kettle and free wifi. The room was clean and was cleaned daily. A very nice thing during our stay was the hotel breakfast which didn't include in the hotel price but you can buy it from the hotel reception. The hotel staff was very friendly.
Me and my mom visited Tokyo to see cherry blossoms and we stayed in this hotel. Except the room rate being kind of high, everything is fine. Friendly staffs, convenient location, clean room, fast wifi and tasty breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.
