Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa

stayed for about 4 nights. excellent location in Tokyo get anywhere in the city, with the a nice Japaneses garden next to it. The breakfast is good and there is a lot restaurant nearby within walking distance. will stay again

Great value for the money. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Great location

The hotel location is not bad - it's near Shinagawa station, May be 10min walk up a hill. Overall reasonable four star hotel, but the biggest problem is that it feels like you are staying at a train station. The building is huge and also hosts many conventions and is connected to another hotel. So when you go to the lobby there's endless stream of people. Very crowded. Also, long wait on check in/check out. Tried the breakfast and its really below what you'd expect from the price level of the hotel.

Great experience with the hotel.. room was a bit small but location was great.. by the train station.. highly recommended

10 minute walk from major train station is convenient. Rooms good, but small. First room we checked into had wet carpet floor, but they upgraded us the next day.

El hotel está bien ubicado y a menos de 800 m de dos estaciones de metro, en general le falta un poco de actualización a las instalaciones y algo más de amenidades (gimnacio, alberca cubierta, etc) el desayuno gratis un poco justo y simple.

club room, balcony, smoking room not available :-(, nice view! 1/3 price for Courtyard Ginza, my usual hotel. Happy hour was just beer, wine, one liquor choice, bagged snacks. Breakfast was toast, cereal, coffee, canned juice, banana.

The rooms were ok, better sized than others, need some improvement in breakfast

The New Takanawa is part of a large Prince Hotel Complex. This hotel is a Large Tourist Hotel and not a 4 star. The rooms while large are spartan in appointments and furniture. No closet for clothing, only a small wall rack capable of holding a few items. Bathroom Fixtures more in keeping with a Japanese "Business" hotel. The hotel restaurants do not offer any a la carte breakfasts. Look forward to a long line at the breakfast buffet.

Although a quite large hotel with excellent and attentive staff, it falls short in comfort issues. Bedding is less the standard. Bathroom is quite small and really on the "Japanese Business" hotel standard. Room furniture was spartan; no closet and a very small hangar rack that could accommodate only a articles of clothing.

excellent hotel, room with nice view and balcony, no swimming pool during my stay

It is about 5 min walk to Shinagawa station. There is a shuttle bus service but you need to make a reservation in advance. Staff was very helpful when we had to change a room. There are 3 Prince hotels in the same area and the Japanese garden in the middle. Beautiful cherry blossoms. The only draw back is free Wifi is only available the lobby. It was inconvenient not to have a Wifi in room.
