The hotel near JR-Uguisudani station and there is a supermarket down star. It is nor so far from station to the hotel. We booked a twin-bed room. It is inexpensive and typical room size of Tokyo. This is our second time to stay here. The first time, we could see Tokyo sky tree in our room but this time didn’t. It’s clean and doesn’t hear noise from street. Not every front desk staff have smile face, but they don’t refuse you if you need help. If you are not familiar with Ueno and first time to Tokyo, it helps to choose not so complex station and stay in this hotel.

Much better hotel than the last one ,but still on the small side in the bathroom .Comfortable and a bit bigger room for the bed ,very good breakfast/buffet ,and uni-formal everything seems to work like clockwork , in Japanese hotels.Close to the JR station and easy access to Tokyo city .Free wifi And TV seems to be as pay per view, is normal in hotels here . The lifts are annoying ,they seem to take ages . Hotel staff try to help but there is a language barrier . Plenty of restaurants close by ,

Clean, comfortable room with great wifi. Breakfast was included and there was plenty to eat but get there early! Location is on a JR line perfect to get around Tokyo and out to Narita airport. Uneno park and the museum district is an 8 minute walk. We had a great stay here.

This hotel is in a great location, very close the JR station Uguisudani and the popular Ueno Onshi Park. However, it was on a main road and surrounded by grungy looking alleyways that was not very appealing to go through to get to the station. Rooms were on par with other hotels, on the smaller size. They had a wide variety available for breakfast, however majority of foods were Japanese foods that we had not been in contact with (we'd been eating Japanese foods for 3 weeks by this stage) and as a result did not know whether they okay for us (and our many food allergies). This was particularly frustrating, as a majority of hotels we stayed at either had more options or English signs/ staff in which we ask.

This hotel is only average . The rooms are ok small enough but the most annoying thing is the lack of stairs and the time that I had to waste queuing for the elevator . The staff were not that helpful either I had to wait to check in and they were not that warm at reception . Location is good though

A misunderstandig on caused us to book a 2 person’s room for a family of four. We took for granted there would be cots or mobile beds for the kids, but all we got was a tiny closet-sized room with two beds for share. Didn’t think it was possible to book a room like this for a family through hotels.com. All they could offer was a room with two slightly bigger beds for a horrible prize. We tried to be cooperative and asked for more linen, but no. Beds for two, linen for two. We were jetlagged and had the worst nights ever in this hotel. Breakfast also turned out to be not included and had an unreasonable prize. My recommendation is stay away.

This is the first time I stay in this hotel, as X'mas season, I can't book my preference hotel, so just would like to book a hotel close to Ueno Station before I depart to airport on tomorrow. You can easy to see the hotel signage after take off the JR Uguisudani Stationer, the escalator facilities in this station convenience for the traveller, a walking distance to Ueno Station around 20mins. 3 of us stay in the room feel very small, is hard to open the luggage in room, but clean and new is my prior.

We stayed here 3 nights with our tour group. Our room is extremely compact. One pillow and one small towel per person. Wouldn’t of been my choice. We have nowhere to put our luggage so it’s an extremely tight squeeze. That said, it’s clean and the staff is nice. Wi-Fi is pretty solid. Location is close to metro. Only pain point is when I asked the staff to help me make a reservation at a restaurant, they wanted 100 Yen for every 3 minutes (to make a phone call)? That was in poor taste.

This modern no fuss hotel is very conveniently located just a three minute walk from Uguisudani subway station. There is about 20-25 stairs to carry your luggage down en route, but otherwise it is easy for luggage on wheels and can be seen from the station platform (less need to ask strangers for directions). The rooms themselves are neat and modern, but not overly spacious. There is TV but no English language channels. There is a small fridge to cool your drinks and the bathroom is well appointed for a small space. It has a typically Japanese toilet with all sorts of added functions.... And a lovely shower. We had the included breakfast which has a very wide variety to cater for the multiple tastes of all it's travellers. Overall I was very pleased.

One train stop from Ueno Station. Restaurants within short walk. Good breakfast variety available as room add-on. Laundry service or self serve laundry mat. Polite courteous staff - TV with add on costs. Clean and safe.
