Great views of the dam and river. Close to town, but much more quiet and private than in town. Staff was super nice and helpful.

They have done some nice work with this property, but the small things add up. My room was very small, with no desk, and a sticky top to the dresser, which I had to clean. Also, the lock to the room was finicky and staff were unhelpful in solving that issue.

Incredible View!

One of a kind view of dam and the sun setting on Hood River. Very friendly management serves a filling breakfast and even cooked us pizza for dinner.

This is a unique hotel with an updated retro vibe. It was easy to get to and the people were great. We enjoyed an evening of live jazz on the patio with stunning views of the setting sun over the Columbia River. And here’s a bonus - you can see Mt Hood from the northernmost side of the patio. This is a hidden gem.

This property is unique. Perched on a hillside overlooking the Columbia River and The Dalles dam, the view from our room was awesome. The dam was lit at night with red, white and blue lights. The room looked recently renovated, well done. Although the train runs below it, we did not hear the trains at night. There's a restaurant (limited menu) and full bar for those weary travelers not wishing to go in search of other options. The best part was listening to Al Hale play guitar and sing on the patio while we ate our pizza and had drinks and watched the sunset over the river. Our one and only issue was that the sheet and mattress pad would not stay in place on the bed!

We had a very nice Labor Day Weekend at the Celilo Inn, including an excellent Saturday night listening to live music on the patio while enjoying cocktails. The approach is a little strange---10 mph on a poorly maintained road right next to a row of houses---but this older property has been nicely updated and has wonderful views. The staff were great (another couple in our party discovered they had been given a room that hadn't been cleaned, and the problem was solved quickly and confidently). Hotel breakfast does include some protein (I'm diabetic, so this is worth mentioning to me). It is convenient to the Maryhill Museum, and an easy drive to the more heavily touristed Hood River.

Very nice staff and quiet & relaxing setting at this property. We loved that we had a parking spot in front of our door. We also love the views from our room and especially from the outdoor public access patio. Live music on the Saturday eve we stayed was very nice.

This hotel sits high on a cliff overlooking the Columbia River. I stay here at least once a year. It is the best for small hotels and friendly staff.
