The breakfest has quite a little choice but enough for our visit for 3 nights. Quite an old hotel but simpatic. The TV in the room is quite small. About where the hotel is, it is awesome. Very close to good restaurants and in the middle of the center.

Hotel are backround historical center, by walk 5min you are on central historical square Tallinn. Very Nice new, clean room, excellent bathroom. Breakfast including. Pleasant crew. Really recommending.

We arrived in Tallinn very late at night and couldn't find a place to stay. I found the deal on lastminute.com, but decided to call the hotel instead and was told there are no rooms available. So I booked it on lastminute.com anyway. And after what happened, I believe the hotel was overbooked. We were allocated a room which was supposed to have a great view so I got very happy but I wasn't so happy when I walked into the room and found a person sleeping in the bed already. Apparently, the receptionist was new to the position and mixed the rooms. Since I was in a good mood, I found it funny, but I guess the scared person in the bed didn't. So we got a new room, which had a window leading to an inside wall, like old buildings do, which is OK considering we got like the last room at the hotel. But it wasn't OK when other guests walked into our room at midnight as they were in the same situation as we were a couple of hours ago. Alongside that, the room didn't seem perfectly clean, the shower was quite smelly and the receptionist couldn't explain where the city parking is, so we parked right on the street. The location was great, the street was quiet and the hotel itself is in a very charming old building, the breakfast was fine. All I want from a hotel is usually a clean room and crispy sheets, but thanks to Gotthard, I realised that someone not walking onto you when you're in your pajamas after shower is also a criterion. :)

I wisited this hotel as part of organised tour, despite that reception staff was very helpful to accomodate my special request for room change. We were accomodated it double bed room but were changed to twin upon request.

We booked this for a weekend trip in the winter. The room was very nice (and warm!), with a vintage kind of look. I was more than satisfied. These types of hotels have a nice non-generic vibe to them, when compared to the basic hotels in Tallinn.

It is a bad story about the GOTTHARD HOTEL in Tallin and Nick. It is a story about two Italians that booked a double room for 3 nights one month in advance and, when they arrived at the hotel at 9,30 pm, discovered that the room was not available. The room wasn't there even if all printed emails to and from Nick were shown. The last two contained a request for a taxi for the airport and suggestions and the last was sent just before taking the flight confirming the arrival. The protagonist of the story is Nick, a person that in the emails seemed gentie and competent, but that at the end revealed himself as untrustable, unreliable, incompetent and stupid! Incompetent was also his colleue (manager?) that we met when we arrived and that was not able to help to find a real solution. The end of the story was that we found ourselves sleeping in an hostel with shared bathrooms, that we were not able to find another hotel in the Old Town for the day after, that we spent 50 euros just going around by taxis and that we had to cancel one day in Tallin and leave before. In all this sad story that I think people travelling to Tallin should carefully take into consideration, we have been very lucky in finding a hidden hotel in Pirita that we recommend to everybody when looking at the GOTTHARD hotel page, through the search engines. The surprise is a Convent that works as Klooster Hotel in Pirita, in front of the ruines of Santa Brigida Church. It is a perfect solution, quiet, relaxing, not far from the old town (2 euros by bus) and absolutely, safe, trustable, clean, silent and with nuns that are much more competent and good in nurturing relationships with their clients. So good that we went back to the Klooster Hotel also at the end of our vacation before going to the airport. The end of the story is simple: TRUST THE NUNS NOT NICK, HIS MANAGER AND THE GOTTHARD HOTEL. Carlo – Italian traveller that was almost in every place of the world but never found himself without a reserved room before!

Good stay in the center of Tallin. Small (standard) room but characteristics . Industrialized breakfast (could be more genuine - it would be enough having fresh bread, butter and jam ) but a good fresh cake . I recommend

Great spot, right near the edge of the city walls & Fat Margaret. What makes this the best is that it's relaxing & quiet; just a short walk to the central hub of the Town Square. You'll hear the noise as you get closer, but it's nice to be a little bit away from the bars & crowds. This B&B has a great breakfast selection, no elevators and charming rooms! I'd certainly stay here again :)

Realizing I didn't have a place to stay in Tallinn for a few nights ... I searched and found the Gotthard Residents. What a great find! The location, for me, is perfect. In a quiet part neighborhood but real close to the old town center. The Staff is supper friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable! And the view from my window is outstanding!

This hotel, like many other historic house hotels in Tallinn, share opinions. If you want comfort, space and air condition during summer, choose something else. On the other hand, if you don't mind those things and cherish historic buildings, Gotthard might be your place. We stayed here one night and were satisfied. The service was good and the location great. Our two clean rooms situated next to each other on 2nd floor right next to the common balcony which was lovely: the balcony was spacious enough, had chairs & a table, the view was good and we really enjoyed chilling out there before going out. I loved the experience of staying in the historic building but to be honest, the one night was enough for us and next time I will choose a bit more modern hotel with air condition as keeping the small window open didn't really give any help during the night and yes, it the temperature inside was surprisingly hot and moist. Also, the breakfast that was included wasn't that special and upon our arrival many of the items were finished and we needed to wait around 10 minutes to get something to eat.
