One quick phonecall to the reseption and we had a parkingspace reseved for our car. It was my mothers birthday so there was a bottle of sparklingwine waiting for us att the room, as a gift from the hotel - that was a very nice surprise. Beds where nice and comfortable. The toilet (i guessed) had a loud noice at night, almost like a drilling sound?
The hotel is cheap: normal rooms are small, college type, towels are dated, bathroom was smelly, the shower gel dispenser was empty and beds were not comfortable. The only plus was a good breakfast, with choices, fruits and good coffee. Location is not bed, pretty downtown, next to a shopping center and 10 minutes away from the old town.
Hotel is quite big, but still has cosy ambiance: comfortable and tidy rooms, tasty buffet breakfast (really great choice of hot and cold food), quickly reacting personnel, live piano music in the bar in the evening!
Our regular hotel while staying in Talinn. Good location in city center, great breakfast and good spacious rooms (business & suites). Everything works always: great bed, wifi, fridge, A/C, hot water etc.
Up on arrival ( early morning ) I went to the reception for check in , I said good morning , have a reservation, before I finish to talk, the answer at the reception was: check in is after 14:00.. I said, I know but I have a confirmation for early check in . No, sorry nothing , just proceeding the check in without any comments. Rooms , single bed.. absolutely not reccomended, Very small , you have the feeling to fall out.. bad sleeping quality. Cleaness was OK. Bathroom, clean, nothing special. Brakefast good, delicious salmon .. Not reccomended the dinner buffet , simple food and not very tasty, Very poor. Location very good. hotel is good for a short stay.
A rather big hotel with not too much of charme and special atmosphere. However, it was convenient to stay there, it is close t the city center and offer what you need at a business trip. The breakfast buffet was large, but maybe too ambitious to actually service the people around. Coffee was running out several times, long lines... but value for money was in essence OK
Here is a picture from our junior suite no.1014, the room is about 35m2, so a lot of leg room. The bathrobes are also a good size, probably L/XL, I like that. Location is quite good, about 15 minutes from the Tallink ferry and only about 200 meters to the old town.
Interesting experience. Lacking extra bed, then sheets. Breakfast was disaster...long lines, empty bowls, no juice and coffee first. They were not able to handle so many people at the same time. If something good...location!!!
Warm greeting upon arrival, nice comfortable room, plenty of light.Excellent wifi. One thing we did notice the bottom sheet on the bed barely covered the mattress, it just lay on top without being tucked in!!! Breakfast Buffett had a great range of food on offer, however, the layout was very poor, only one area for beverages, hence it was cramped with people getting drinks. Plates and bowls were scattered around, alas not in the right places, for example bowls for yogurt were some way away, butter was in a large lump rather than individually wrapped, that also caused a bottle neck.Having said that it was all very nice and plentiful.
I stayed here for a conference at Tallinn University, which was a brisk 10 minute walk away. The Old Town was even nearer, in the other direction. Everything was comfortable, the service good and the breakfasts fine - a little crowded but a good range of breakfast items and unlimited coffee. The only downside to my room, which had free wifi, was that I couldn't open a window, which I like to do when I am sleeping. The thickish curtains cu the light out, which was a bonus as it was still light at midnight! I had a great offer of 2 nights for 119 Euros, but this might have been a conference deal. Great value, nonetheless.
