The hotel is in a great location. I arrived on the Tallink ferry from Helsinki and walked towards the Viru hotel tower (less than 10 min walk). The Nordic is right across the street from this tower so it is easy to find. From the hotel there is one street to cross and you are at the Viru Gate to old town (this is the location of the hop on hop off bus). It felt safe to walk to the bus, tram, ferry terminal, and to old town. The staff was professional and very helpful when asked questions about the hotel or about their city. The hotel room was nice (carpet has been written up in other reviews) and seemed to have a little more room than some other European rooms. The bathroom had a stand up shower with a high shower head and no tub (which works great for me). The slippers, bars of soap and bottles of shampoo made you feel like you were levels ahead of most of the other hotels in Europe. There is a safe and the tv has a clock on the bottom of it. The pool was smaller but was very nice. One of the reasons I picked this hotel was because it is written up as a quiet hotel with comfortable beds and both of those things are true. This hotel is a true 4 star European hotel.

Wish I could return to this hotel and Tallinn! Great modern room and the location couldn't be beat! I was walking from a long distance bus station and it was about 20 minute walk; if I'd known the city a bit could've grabbed a local bus instead but even though staff was busy they were great! Room was modern and included a coffee maker, robe and even little slippers as well as toiletries! Did I mention that there's a sauna, as well as the most bountiful breakfast ever! Just writing this makes me want to return

Everything about this note was perfect--the location to the ferry terminals & Old Town (both walking distance); the staff, & the rooms. Had the best breakfast of any hotel I stayed at during my 8-day trip to Finland & Estonia. I would definitely stay here again.
