Very friendly service at the front desk. Bed was comfortable but unfortunately the street noise disturbed a lot. Walls are rather thin, too - there is some noise from the next room. WiFi connection could be faster. Breakfast is almost perfect - selection is wide and food tasted really good!

An excellent hotel all round! I’ve been to this hotel a couple of times now and it’s always been great! The food is good, even for an up market hotel, and the rooms are exceptional! The staff are lovely and really keen to make your stay a pleasant experience. I’ll definitely be heading back again!

We had a very comfortable stay here. The staff were very accommodating and professional, the room and bathroom were spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold food including different juices, fruit and coffee. The spa (sauna and pool) was decent but not included with the room. It won’t accommodate too many people if it is busy though it was empty when we went. Overall, we would be happy to return to the Von Stackelberg.

Excellent service. However, some of the spa services can be privately reserved, thing which can stop other people from using them. The location is a good one and it gives quick access to the center of the city.

My wife and I were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and the service very good. The breakfast was varied and of a high-quality (e.g. different types of freshly baked bread). The spa was clean and accessible. Essentially this hotel is a place for those who want to avoid the bland offerings of the large chain hotels and appreciate character.

Stayed just for a night at this lovely hotel because of location - within a walking distance to the old town. Liked attractive, historic building. Hotel lobby area is very nice and comfy. Good breakfast. Room #207 was quite small but cute, clean and nicely decorated. A bit noisy though because facing a busy street. Disliked reception boy who was kind of disorganised and too busy to pay expected attention.

The room was beautiful and very clean, but there was a lot of noise coming from the hallway when people walked by, which was quite often. Thankfully there was no noise coming from the street, even though the hotel is located in a busy intersection and my room was on the first floor. Could not quite close the curtains all the way either but luckily the bed was so comfortable that I slept very well regardless. The bathroom was tiny but functional. The TV was hung on the wall on an awkward way. The breakfast was lovely, served in the ground floor restaurant with very “zen” background music, I really enjoyed being there. All in all I would visit again and perhaps try the spa as well.

Start with location. 7 minute walk to Balti Jaam rail and tram hub! Ideal. You can get anywhere from here. Next - room. Absolutely spotless. Our zen room had a fantastic Jacuzzi bath. Breakfast- well presented. Again a spotless dining room. Not a U.K. Breakfast buffet, so UK visitors be warned. Great coffee. Would definitely return.

Couldn’t really find fault with this place. We stayed 4 nights in a zen room on the 3rd floor, we had an amazing view of Toompea. We had a jacuzzi batch and shower over the bath. The bathroom was compact but ok for us. The bed was really comfy and had good WiFi throughout the hotel. Breakfast was included and really good (buffet), it was a nice atmosphere in the dining room which was downstairs at basement level. The hotel looks newly renovated, everything was spotless and to a high standard. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, it was empty every night, there’s a bar across the road that serves excellent food and has a great atmosphere, Poobel. The hotel bar was great for pre meal drinks and nightcaps. We didn’t use the Spa so cannot comment. The location was brilliant, No4 tram goes straight from the airport and stops outside, or about 10min in a taxi and less than €10. It’s at the bottom of Toompea hill, so just a short 5min stroll to the old town and our favourite Kiek in de Kok tower, well worth checking out the museum and tunnels. 5mins further and you are in Freedom square and then another few minutes to Market square, which is at the centre of it all. We booked through ebookers which offered the best deal at the time.

We have just returned from a fabulous 3 night break in Tallinn. We choose the Hotel von Stackelberg as part of a flight and hotel deal with British Airways. We are so glad we did as it surpassed all our expectations. It was in a great location just minutes walk from Tallinn old town. The room we stayed was in simply stunning (Zen Deluxe). All the staff were extremely attentive. The continental style breakfast hit the spot and set us up each morning for a day of walking around Tallinn which is a lovely city. We would recommend this hotel whole heartedly and will look forward to returning to continue our exploration of Tallinn.
