Overall the room was very nice, modern, clean and spacious. The hotel staff were friendly and the general vibe was good. The room had a lovely view. We got a fairly good price for a 2 night stay, however wouldn’t want to pay much more. It seems more of a business hotel. The beds very very hard and not enough pillows. It isn’t a far walk to the old town but if you’re there for the weekend it feels a little bit far out. Pool and spa are fine, the rooftop bar was ok.
The room had a great view over Tallinn. It was silent floor and room temperature was ok. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. Spa had two saunas and a pool with multiple showers. Tv had multiple channels and Wi-Fi worked well. I would go again.
From the moment you walk in the door, this hotel welcomes you with unassuming oppulence. You will feel relaxed from the warm and friendly welcome through to the spacious,, modern, decadent room. I was here for a business trip, but I planned a trip with my family that same day. For business: plenty of desk space, lots of media interfaces at the enormous desk, and a good wifi speed, 9based on standard not the premium rate) plus a comfy chair to sink into whilst reading papers and reports. From a family visit perspective: there are plenty of rooms that have adjoining rooms with the same benefits as the business rooms. From the massive walk in showers to the complimentary bath robes to the generous wardrobe space, this hotel oozes class. The menu caters for traditonal western European tastes as well as local traditional meals. There was not one single meal I was disappointed with. The staff were helpful, polite and enthusiastic. I was given advice about local amenities that was bob on accurate and just what I needed. I can't rate this hotel highly enough (and those who have read my previous reviews will know I set a high bar) . I can't wait to come back. Oh, and it's only an 8 Euro taxi ride from the airport
We stayed for four nights recently at Swissotel Tallin, generally speaking it's a lovely hotel. Centrally located, but outside of Old Town so Uber's and Taxi's are easily hailed. The lobby is large and inviting, the rooms again are large and inviting and the service was amazing. The four things that let this hotel down are: noisy air conditioning with limited controls, incredibly hard bed, poor pool area and very slow meal service on the 30th floor restaurant on a Thursday evening. The positives are numerous, great room service, good sized rooms, good toiletries, brilliant and timely service, solid location, knowledgable staff, good speedy lifts, serviced lobby most hours of the day and night and very well lit rooms. A/C is always a difficult one as many people like different temperatures, but it was not possible to easily get the AC to stick to one temperature and during the night the room was very warm unless the AC was on full and as a result the room was loud at night. No point in complaining as it worked, it's just not the easy digital display where you enter a temperature and it works that I am used to. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept in for a long time. Speaking to other hotel guests, this was a common theme. Again, little point in complaining as it's clearly something that this hotel has. Hard beds are a choice and I do not like super soft beds, but this was uncomfortable. The pool/spa area was not what I was expecting from a 5 star hotel. One single, small pool, no visible hot tub, a small mixed sex sauna and a smaller mixed sex steam room. The look of the spa area is beautiful, well equipped, plenty of towels, bath robes and toiletries but it was let down by the lack of options. While I appreciate that this is a business/luxury hotel I do expect a larger pool, hot tubs, co-ed and single sex sauna as a minimum in a hotel such as this. The restaurant on the 30th floor is very good, the food is great, the service was pleasant but incredibly slow. We had basic starters, which took over 40 minutes to arrive. Not a busy night and again this was the same across all customers so apparently the service is just slow in this place. Food was amazing, as I've said, but I just expect a quicker service. Overall a lovely hotel and one that I do recommend but take into consideration noise in the room, comfort, speed and amount of options in the spa area.
Had a lovely weekend at this hotel views were to die for 26th Floor Sea Harbour View was great enjoyed very much and cocktails in roof top bar was fantastic. Downside, unhappy staff ( it seemed) very difficult to raise a smile the bell boy looked at me one morning like he had just stepped in something “WHY” I will never know. It was also pointed out additional charges if I decided to use fitness centre most of the hotels I stay it free especially at this cost so needless to say a little dissatisfied with front of house staff. Summery; great hotel, great location, Tallinn is a great city to visit but us brits we like a warm welcome and a happy smile. Not to much to ask
Having always wanted to stay at Swissotel we decided on a short trip to Tallin for a little getaway. Check in was quick and easy even though we arrived a couple of hours before check in and it was the weekend of Tallin Marathon and some other events. The staff was polite and helpfull, and told us about what the hotel has to offer. Having asked for a high floor we got a lovely room on the 20th floor. Clean, spotless, no noise and a view over the harbour. The bathroom had everything we needed, and the bathrobes were comfortable. For breakfast we opted for roomservice. They were promt and the food was delicious and plenty of it. Both for breakfast or a late night meal after som drinks. The hotel had a lovely resturant for quick meals, and a fantastic bar on the 30th floor. The spa/pool was also relaxing. The hotel was central, and a very short ride from the airport. Having a very late flight home, we could store our bags there, and use their service to get to the airport in the evening. All in all this was a hotel experience I would like to repeat. The service was polite and outstanding, impressive when one thinks of all that was going on in the hotel that weekend. If we go to Tallin again I would most definitely stay at this hotel.
I was staying 4 days at this hotel and the experience was very nice. Receptionists were very pleasant and helpful, and hotel cleaning personal also. The hotel room was big and clean. It had a coffee machine, large TV and in-desk plugs for everything you need (electricity, internet, USB charging). I was lucky to get a room on 26th floor and I was enjoying the view very much. Breakfasts were good. The bar on top of the hotel was also excellent with very pleasant staff. All in all, very nice experience
Ventilation is very noisy; the noise transfers from neighboring rooms, thus turning it off in your own room does not help. Water temperature is limited in shower. Even on maximum it remained only mildly warm.
we liked our stay overall. The room was clean and big but the bed was really hard. Pool area was nice and not too growded. Check out went very smoothly but at the check in we hope the staff would lock your luckage into the luckage room without asking. The lady at the reception was about to leave next to the desk where anyone could have grabbed it.
That was my second visit of Tallin. We booked this hotel as my girlfriend wanted modern & trendy place to stay in. Hotel's room is a large size, with nice city view and massive bathroom. Staff was friendly and service was great. The hotel located within walking distance to Old Town and all other major sightseeing destinations. Top floor of hotel occupied by bar / lounge with 270 degree view on the city, open until 1 am (including smoking room). Whilst the hotel and room met our expectations, spa complex is not good enough for 5 star hotel.
