Swissotel Tallinn

True 5 star experience in Tallinn that you couldn't get before. Everything is working smoothly and the room was probably one of the coolest I've been in. Nice views towards the harbor and bathroom has both shower and bathtub. The rooftop bar has a stunning view of the sunset if you manage to get in during the late hours. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that

We had a weekend in Swissotel Tallinn. The lobby is not as grand as it might deserve. The customer service at front desk would need some improvement, but that is a common theme everywhere in Tallinn so we weren't too surprised. I still gave Swissotel a 5 star ranking since in all other aspects the hotel totally deserves it. Our room view was amazing, room decor lovely and modern, the bathroom luxurious with a bath AND a separate shower. We especially enjoyed the bar on the 30th floor. My compliments to the staff there for making it a truly lovely experience. The different martini based drinks they make are absolutely delicious. We ended up using the hotel bar before and after dinner because of it's excellence. Normally we are not the type to hang out at the hotel bar. All in all a lovely experience, some minor tweaks on the customer experience and Swissotel Tallinn can compete with the best.

This is a very modern hotel that is probably in a great location for business travelers. It is a bit of a distance from Old Town and the Upper Town. Rooms were excellent and comfortable. Great views of the city. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection. No doubt one of the best choices in Tallinn.

Great hotel with a lovely spa. The breakfast is average sadly but the rooms and the beds make up for it! Good location and a great skybar with tasty cocktails. The staff is friendly and helpful although checking in and out took a very long time.

Stayed at this Hotel for two nights Wednesday / Friday 12th/14th July. This is a great Hotel and one of the best I have stayed in. I do not normally use 5 star Hotels but going on the reviews, I thought I would treat myself. Without repeating the same comments over again, this Hotel is fantastic in all respects. I was upgraded to a harbor view room. You could watch the ships...all day long. The room, bathroom and the staff were first class. A great breakfast is provided and I would certainly recommend this Hotel.

From the lobby to the rooms, a modern hotel in every way. Clean lines, modern furnishings, ample storage and excellent amenities make this a great choice for your stay. We were happy to have both a tea pot and a coffee maker when we returned from sightseeing on a cold and windy June day. The bathroom was stunning, with a huge sink and attractive metallic mini tiles. Some rooms have a tub as well as a shower so you should check to see if there is one if you are a bath person. If you want an ultra early breakfast, you will not be able to have the hotel breakfast buffet because the hotel elevators are programmed not to stop at the 8th floor before 7:00 am.

Spent two nights here in June 2017 as part of a business conference. The hotel itself is in a wonderful location with rooms looking over the harbour and the city. It is a ten minute walk the old town which I found beautiful. The gym and spa was fantastic. I would say one of the best gyms I have encountered in any hotel. The food was very good too, with an extensive breakfast menu. I will definitely be back to Tallinn again and will stay here no problem again.

The hotel is very high,so you can have nice views if you stay in higher floors or at the top floor restaurant. We were on the 16th floor. The room is big and nice. The bathroom has everything you need, also morning coats and shoes.Big screen TV,coffee tea making facilities in room.Very comfortable beds! You can use sauna and pool also in the morning.Sauna was not so hot for me,but we Estonians are used to very hot sauna. But it was good enough. The only complaint will go to the breakfast. It should be more tasty.Coffee was good, from machine,it is important. But the meals had not much taste ,I expected more for such nice hotel. Also fruit choice was not so good.

I stayed there during a conference in June. My room was on one of the upper floors and had a marvelous view towards the airport. Hotel facilities are excellent, the breakfast was very good. The hotel is located within a 5-10 mins walk of the old town's gates and there are plenty of shops and restaurants around. Highly recommended!

Like a previous poster, I had similar issues with the lack of late check-out and being told that my rate did not include breakfast or the spa. When I arrived after midnight at the property, the check-in agent (who really was lacking any sense of humour), informed me that my rate did not include breakfast or the spa. I said really? As my on confirmation form, that I have just given you, it clearly states that breakfast is included. After glancing at my confirmation once again, he grunted and muttered under his breath a barely audible ‘sorry’. I also enquired about upgrades (as previous guests have been offered rates to upgrade to an Executive room for a price). This query seemed to annoy him and he responded that I had a room on the 22nd floor, but no access to the lounge. Okay then … sorry to bother you mate … The room was very modern and clean. I could never get the temperature of the room down below 22 C, and I was unable to turn off the heat on the towel racks, which forced me to keep the bathroom door closed to avoid heating the room further. The bed was large, but a little hard for my taste. I did like the shower, but the marble floors were very slippery when wet. The bathroom was huge, and certainly had plenty of room for a bath --- but instead, there was just a lot of empty space. The hotel was only about a 10-minute walk to the edge of the Old Town. There was a large shopping mall en-route, which contained a good-sized, ground floor grocery store with low prices. The breakfast was fine, but certainly not amazing. On my final day, I enquired about the possibility of a late check-out of 12:30 or 1:00 pm. I was bluntly told no, the hotel was fully booked (on a Sunday night, really?). When I came down at noon, there were about 40 – 50 people in the lobby waiting to check-out. After about 20 minutes, I was finally able to check-out. Ironically, if they had let me check out at 12:30 or 1:00, they would not have had this type of congestion. While a nice, clean and modern property, I certainly would not describe it as 5-stars. Overall rating - 3 1/2 stars ...I might try the Hilton the next time ...
