Overall the hotel was fine, but the rooms are not as advertised in the major online portal we booked from: our "Premium" room option - and we chose this hotel because of the description - was sold as "20 m2" with a picture of a nice big room, with "a city view" and a "shower/bathtub combo". The actual room in the top floor didn't match the picture, was much smaller (a standard small room size, ca. 2,8 by 4 meters, plus entrance and bathroom, in total 15-16 m2 max), only had a shower, and the view was only to the opposite buildings' walls. The receptionist confirmed, after checking with her colleagues, that it's the correct 20m2 "Premium" room, told me the incorrect facts are "marketing" and all Premium rooms are similar, but offered to upgrade the room with a surcharge which I refused. Curiously, there are big signs in the lifts advertising upgrading your room. The hotel also sells "standard" rooms with a size of 14 sq.m. which is closer to what our "premium" room looked like. It's peculiar that in the 6th floor plan most of the other rooms seem to be identically small to ours, suggesting maybe the majority of the rooms are actually physically "standard", regardless of how they've been sold. The plan has some bigger rooms as well, perhaps for travelers paying for the upgrade on site. Otherwise the small room was good standard - reasonably good condition, clean, quiet and the adjustable air conditioning working well. The breakfast is good - with fresh waffles and smoothies, which are a nice change from typical hotel breakfast. It's a shame their misleading marketing leaves a bad taste as otherwise the hotel would be OK.
not the best value for your money close to Tallinn university (walking distance) and to old town Very nice breakfast ` Good internet - but you need to be re-connected again and again. But room was small (even with up grade), and room cleaning was very basic. I expected a better room cleaning/.
The Park Inn is a clean, modern, comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of Old Town Tallinn and the University - and the ferry to Helsinki. With the possible exception of a luxury hotel in Beijing, the breakfast was the best we have experienced at a hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. When we asked them to order a taxi for 4:30AM, they did so and asked if we would like a boxed breakfast to go! Absolutely, no complaints.
On one of the main city streets, grocery store in the next block, short walk to Old Town. Excellent location. Abundant breakfast (be sure to try the smoothies), but the dinner was disappointing - the same buffet served every night. Hotel room and bathroom were fine. Comfortable bed. Good conference rooms too.
The location of the hotel is great - and once the construction is done it will be really attractive. The hotel has the charme of a standard hotel, and check-in and check-out procedures took more than 10 minutes each - and unfortunately the customer address on the invoice was still not correct after this time... Breakfast buffet left quite some wishes open, focus is on mass food delivery, a welcoming and nice atmosphere was missing in the food display and arrangement, which unfortunately was not compensated by the taste :(
I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. The room smelled like a sewer and when I complained about it the head maid said that it's because of renovations so it is the same in all rooms. Room felt old and dirty, no minibar, old and small tv. Uncomfortable and uneven bed, so it felt like I was falling out. Probably because people have been sitting on the side and worn the springs so much. Breakfast was really unorthodox, unfortunately not to my taste, but others might enjoy it. Can't really recommend anything about this hotel.
The hotel is a few blocks west of the Old City behind some construction and more easily reached from a courtyard closer to the Old City. Very comfortable with good food particularly at breakfast. It easily accommodated our Road Scholar group and several other groups and individual travelers.
We took a two night trip from Helsinki to Tallinn. Our room was 'upgraded' to family room so although it was just the two of us, we had plenty of room for kids, if we had any! There was a major renovation going on outside our window starting early in the morning and lasting well into the evening. We were thankful that we travel with earplugs. It seems like parts of the hotel have been recently renovated. Our room and hallway had that 'new paint and carpet smell'...at least I hope that's what the smell was from. The breakfast had a decent selection. The hotel and breakfast staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to the Old Town of Tallinn. It is very close to a great restaurant called Zebra. It is walking distance from the ship terminal (we took Linda Lines from Helsinki) but we chose to take a taxi for under $15.
We stayed here with our Gate One travel group. Husband and I have always gone solo in the past, so we most likely would have missed the opportunity to stay at this wonderful hotel. Staff are very professional, they truly appear to care about their guest. The Radisson should be commended for hiring and training such personnel. The young man that handles the luggage at the front desk should get a reward for all the extra lifting he does. Breakfast was HUGE, with loads of offerings to choose from. Only complaint - why oh why, don't most Hotels in Europe provide washcloths? I never understood this.
Stayed here two nights. The breakfast was very nice but the waitresses were a little "up tight" as they closed breakfast buffet 11:01 on a Saturday morning and I think some people were left out. My food was picked up when I was getting coffee and could get more from the buffet. Customer service is not the strong side here. We payed 150€ per night and there was no minibar in the room, and the window was looking over a junkyard. The price is too high in my opinion, but the hotel itself is alright.
