Great place to stay but disappointed with our apartment this year the one we stayed in last year was much nicer. We stayed with our daughter and less room, needs updating. The room was clean but was expecting same type as before, especially as we were returning.
I was only here for work & the location was perfect, right next to my office. the room was clean and very big so there's lots of room to move. the balcony overlooking the highway was cool. the only issue I had with the room was the water pressure, it was terrible, I couldn't even wash my hair and get enough water! the pool, spa & sauna area were all very good, clean & tidy. I'd recommend that you request a higher level floor as the train station below & traffic can be pretty loud. I was on level 10 and it was a constant hum. I'd definitely bring my family and stay here again. it was walking distance to the bridge & opera house and lots of dining options around.
This hotel/apartments are quite run down. Carpet outside the elevators is worn and dirty. Rooms are OK and reasonable size. My shower head would not stay up and continually dell down. DVD player was not plugged into the TV. Strange low headspace just in front of the elevators next to reception that you feel has been designed incorrectly. In general, the location is good, staff OK but it needs a facelift.
This was a great apartment complex and had very good kitchen facilities and laundry in the apartment. The apartment complex is really central to the rocks and CBD. Nespresso machine in the reception. Great helpful staff.
We stayed here for three nights on a quick family visit to Sydney. We had a two bedroom apartment which was very convenient, although the room did appear to be a bit tired and worn. The hotel is located very centrally so we were able to park our car and either walk or use public transport for the duration of our stay. It did feel a bit expensive, particularly as we had stayed in a more modern, newer 2 bedroom apartment in the Melbourne CBD a few nights earlier for half the price but maybe we just have to put this down to Sydney prices. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Stayed one night, had pre-paid for accomodation which made check in easy. Shared a 2 bedroom apartment with friend. Very spacious, main bedroom had king size bed and ensuite, was pleasantly surprised to have seperate bath and shower in ensuite. 2nd bedroom had double bed. Decent sized laundry. Full sized kitchen, plenty of room in lounge dining area. Lounge opened onto balcony. Rooms are a bit tired and could do with refresh. Would stay again given location agai .
Í stayed here on 18/4/18 and was asked for credit card imprint. I have been charged $100 on my card (debit card) and this has been taken from my bank account. They have not paid this $100 back after numerous requests. I have stayed at The York for 25 years. Never have I been so pissed off. Firstly my principal booked me in and sent confirmation. We paid with credit card. when i checked in NO PAYMENT.... THEY wanted a 3rd party signature but didn't advise anyone of this... Then TOOK MY $$$ No one will call me back. I am furious...
Had a one night stop over in Sydney, our travel agent recommended The York. We had a two bedroom deluxe apartment which was plenty of room for three people. The apartment was spacious with a separate living, dining and kitchen with a large balcony. Two bedrooms ... a master with it's own balcony and another bedroom with two beds. A TV in the living area also a TV in the master bedroom. The staff were pleasant without being over friendly. We had a problem with the remote in the living room (was very corroded batteries had been changed for years) called reception and a really pleasant young man attended immediately to sort the problem. Great location ... one block north of Wynyard Station and two blocks south of Circular Quay. Extremely soundproof no traffic noise.
I have stayed here with my husband for 4 days. It was a business trip. The Apartment Hotel is centrally located in the Sydney CBD with Wynyard train station just around the corner. We had stayed in 1 Bedroom Superior Apartment. Don’t expect any magical views. You are either looking at the high rise buildings or the busy highway. The Apartment was clean with full kitchen and laundry. The staff was OK and the service was good.
Our stay here was fine until check out. Nice place, whilst it felt a little dated, the comfort and cleanliness was great. Enjoyed the pool and spa area and handy location. Was stung with a $150 charge for parking at checkout which took me by surprise and yes, I admit fault of not reading the long fine print when asked to sign paperwork at check in, a mistake I will not make no matter how long I hold up the line at front desk. I strongly feel that such a thing should be verbalized at check in. I was advised that this is normal for anywhere I would have stayed in Sydney CBD however I can assure you this is not normal for any other place I have stayed at in other states. Being in the hospitality business don't assume that your guests are local and know Sydney practises because I have never come across this before and I felt brushed off when I expressed my concerns at check out. For this reason, I will take my business elsewhere in future
