Mercure Sydney

It was OK. Not in the best part of town and our room looked over other building rooftops that had a lot of junk on the rooftops. It looked really bad out our window. Breakfast buffet was very good. Price was OK compared to other hotels.

Clean hotel, great location! Bed not very comfortable but for the price you can't really complain.

Poor drainage. Wouldn't do it again. Area is saturated with dirty restaurants.

Small hotel located right near the Central Station in Sydney. Well trained staff that are customer oriented.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Mercure. Everything is clean, bright, modern and busy! The pool is small but perfect for a morning swim, and a nice workout room is handy. The best part of our stay outside of the comfort of the room was the location. We were near buses, trains, and cafes all just a block away! The concierge staff was super amazing. All were knowledgeable, helpful, and took their time to explain where things were and how to get around. Jim was awesome in helping us get to the zoo! Thank you all for a wonderful visit!

Couldn't control the temperature of the room which resulted in an uncomfortable room.

Gym is outdated but functional. Otherwise, everything was great.

Located right at the Central Station stop, it was convenient to access the entire city (not to mention the airport). The room was very nice and they have a pillow menu that made our sleep more comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mercure. We arrived super early and were given the option to upgrade for $20 a night for a room with a view. We thought it was worth it as the view was beautiful and even better we were able to check in at 7:30 am rather than having to wait until 2pm. That was great after our long flight! The room was comfortable and the hotel was in walking distance to the central train station which goes anywhere you need to go. There was also a little breakfast place out back that was great! The staff were friendly and helpful as well. The restaurant was not very impressive and while the bar had a pizza night with specials when we went for a later night snack at 9pm they were sold out. Overall we had a great visit and would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The rooms were small but clean with comfortable beds; however it was really loud you could everything going on in the rooms beside, above, and below.

Great location: very easy to get around.

I went to Sydney for sightseeing. This was good for that purpose because of the central location.

This hotel was great, for me. There were some problems that might bother others, though. Notably, the bathroom towels did not seem to be collected daily, and services that are usually complementary were charged to my room: breakfast and internet access.

Sydney was the perfect trip, couldn't ask for anything better then this. Great hotel, perfect service, awesome location, I loved it very much.

staff service excellent. restuarant excellent. rooms where disappointing out dated bathroom one bedside table.rooms need revamping

Staff is great, helpful in every way. Noise from hall and adjacent room was occasionally bothersome. Bathroom functional, but a bit dated. Location was great - near both rail and bus lines reaching all over the city. I would stay here again, and recommend it to others.

Experience a few glitches during check-in as the hotel doesn't have the record of what type of room I booked. I've booked a deluxe room but they end up give me regular room which I have to go down to reception and change it. Thanks for the "team lead" who dealt with me and she changed it to a huge room which consists of 2 double beds and 360 degrees of view. Excellent value. The worst part is internet access which there is no free internet.

The staff were more than helpful. They were exceptionally pleasant. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was walkable to all attractions and very convenient to buses and trains.

The only thing we didn't like about this hotel was the location. It was a pretty far walk to the harbours. But there were plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Bus stations and train stations were right outside the hotel. The service was fabulous and the concierges were very helpful with airport shuttles, tours, and restaurants.

stayed a week before asking for someone to change bedsheets if possible... everymorning getting knocks on door from cleaners telling me they have to clean as they are going home soon... never got morning papers until I asked... then was told the papers are wet and I can have it if I want a wet paper or "BAD LUCK"... WHAT???... check out staff asked us to pay total bill, did not believe us and sent us to business centre to print confirmation from you guys.. ok.. we did that and went down and lined up again to give this in and they simply said "thats all"... ??? ... what??? ... no "thank you"... no nothing... we walked off... we could not believe the rudeness we got... never again!!!
