For a supposedly superior room, at $800+, with Club Lounge Access, the room itself was disappointingly ordinary. The bathroom was certainly in need of a refurbish, with chipped tiles in the shower. It was also disappointing to return to our room at 3.45pm, only to have to wait in the lounge downstairs for it to be serviced. We had to ask for soap in the vanity area.

Fantastic location. I had an opera house room for 12 days which obviously comes with a beautiful view. Reason for 4 stars not five? Hotel rooms are beginning to look and feel tired and dated (while remaining spotlessly clean). Is also a bit ‘carnage’ around reception and the lift area when the big groups arrive (believe many related to the cruise ships) - however the staff really do their best to manage this.
