Excellent room with views and balcony...exceptional service and ideal location! View was looking at Harbour bridge and wharf area. Great location close to opera house... Botanical gardens.... Shopping! Highly recommended!
This is an apartment hotel with a great kitchen and laundry facility. Go for the harbour view room and you won't be disappointed. Very clean and spacious. Excellent staff particularly Amanda in reservations. Very friendly and professional. I had an early check in and was given a late check out. Good value for money as one of the nearby hotels is more than double the price and only one room. Have stayed here on many occasions and have always been delighted.
Swipe card access in this hotel was very frustrating. I could not use swipe card in lift or to room on a regular basis. I would have gone down at least 3 times per day to get it fixed. Restaurant staff were not good. I found very rude. Yelled across the room to wait for a clean table but there were quite a few vacant, albeit they were for more than one person. They then took such a long time to come back to me I left and ate in another restaurant. Very poor service Pullman. Drycleaners also destroyed a dress although in fairness not the Pullman's fault and they are trying to follow up. It was a shame that this service was so disappointing as the other staff were excellent, location is superb.
I booked this hotel as a birthday surprise for my husband, we were both blown away by the location, views and private balcony. We have stayed at a lot of luxury Sydney hotels in the past, but now that we have experienced Pullman we will be back! The rooms are larger then any other hotel room. We also had a lovely champagne bottle waiting for our arrival. Looking forward to our return.
Had a lovely overnight stay at pullmans with my partner. Room was very clean, staff were very friendly. Room was extremely spacious and high quality finishes. Thoroughly Enjoyed our stay. Will happily return.
We've stayed in this lovely hotel many times and we always experience the same level of brilliant service, really I've never experienced better anywhere in the world and nothing seems too much trouble. Situated right on Circular Quay it's less than 300 metres from Sydney Opera House and just a short stroll to the Harbour Bridge, The Rocks precinct, Sydney CBD, The Botanical Gardens, transport options and lots of dining options. Generously proportioned suites are well priced though in need of a little facelift. Hopefully a refit will be coming soon. Our one bedroom suite contained a full kitchen and laundry, a large separate lounge and dining area, ensuite bathroom, plenty of cupboard space, really you could live quite happily in one of these apartments full time. We loved the Hacienda bar but weren't happy with the food at Q Dining (this restaurant attracts good reviews though so perhaps we just dined on an off night). We will stay here again.
Fantastic hotel with excellent facilities. Our room was large with a full kitchen, separate bedroom and glorious verandah (what a wonderful place to sit with a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon). The decor was a little tired and dated but not to an extent that we disliked it. The service was excellent. We did find it was expensive but given its location, facilities and room size it was worth the money.
I am a Platinum Accor member (which is great value if you are thinking about joining), and I always enjoy staying at the Pullman Quay Grand at Circular Quay in Sydney. On my most recent visit, I happened to be celebrating my birthday. The staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for me ..... room upgrade to a Harbour View, Champagne on arrival to the room with a birthday card and a cheese platter with a bottle of red wine to have before (or after) dinner. This is my favourite hotel in Sydney, as the price is always reasonable(based on the fact that every room is the size of most other hotel room suites) and it is so close to the train and ferry facilities. A very enjoyable experience !!
I had the worst experience in 25 years of travelling at this hotel. I woke at 5 am to download a file and return an edited version to the US. The internet was not working. The desk clerk told me they had frequent problems with the internet. So at 5:30 am I left and walked to the Intercontinental and checked in. The internet works here. I fail to understand how a luxury hotel managed by Sofitel allows this problem to exist. Also, I should have been informed of the problem when I checked in. I have stayed at Sofitel hotels for many years throughout the world, e.g. US, London, China, France. I will never stay at a Sofitel hotel again. I am surprised that Sofitel allows its brand name to be damaged by this situation. the problem was not new as the desk clerk told me it often happened. The hotel manager was of no help. He should be replaced (fired!) If a traveler cannot depend on a luxury brand name like Sofitel, it is time to move to another brand.
I had two nights here recently in a 9th floor spa room and it was excellent. The staff were accommodating, the view of the harbour bridge was wonderful and the room was spacious, well appointed and clean. I did however never work out how to turn the light on over the dining table! Location wise you couldn't get better. The Opera House literally at the end of the street, the Harbour Bridge in full view and The Rocks directly downstairs. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying in that room again when next in Sydney.
