Novotel Sydney Olympic Park

Stayed at this place for one night mid week - wonderful staff at check in, room clean, bed comfy, shower pressure great, Alhtough it was only one night stay I felt away from my life for a lot longer - batteries recharges

Was here last week for 4 nights for an interstate conference. Room was clean with everything working. Air con and heating quiet and efficient. Room was pretty well soundproofed (couldn't hear rooms nearby, only occasionally a noisy person walking down the corridor). All the usual items like tea/coffee making, fridge, with iron & board, room safe, big TV, and a good 'business center' corner (power points, HDMI plugs etc, including into the TV). Well lit. Bathroom plain but did have shower over bath, toiletries, hair dryer etc. I was in a standard queen room on level 5. Reception staff nice and efficient. Had issue with the lifts but this was being fixed. Bar and restaurant downstairs. Breakfast was well laid out, only things I didn't like was limited choice in eggs (could only find scrambled every day) and the coffee machine was a bit of a pain to work (pod coffee, tasted ok). I did not use other facilities of the Novotel such as the pool, gym, etc. Did use the conference facilities which were extensive. A really, really good location if attending sporting events at Olympic Park (tennis, hockey, athletics, gymnastics, football, soccer, concerts at ANZ stadium etc). Walking distance to all sporting facilities, cafes and restaurants in the vicinity including underneath the Novotel (including a pub/bar, a Macca's, a subway, Cold Rock, Gloria Jean Coffee, etc). ANZ stadium across the road. Train station across the road, maybe 50 to 100m (didn't take a lot of notice). Taxi and bus available close by. About 30 to 40 min walk to the ferry terminal. If you are wanting to stay in Sydney next to Darling Harbour or the rocks area, etc, then I would choose something closer to that area instead.

Very dissapointed with our stay. I was travelling with my three young daughters on a family trip for a few days. Check in was chaotic and we could barely hear the person checking us un because the foyer was so loud. No advice regarding which lift we should take to our rooms, which was very confusing since check in is for both IBIS and Novatel. To top it off we were told that evening in the bar area that we could not use any glassware, only plastic was available as they did not have enough glasses. Now I understand that there was also a function on, however if you dont have enough glassware to support large numbers I would suggest either buy some more or dont have the function. The wine was served in a plastic wine cup which was half the serve of a wine in a glass however the price was still $10. Premium prices. I have stayed at many Novetel hotels and for a hotel that has rating of 4 starts, this was the worst.

We went for Disney on Ice, the staff were lovely and gave all the kids colouring in packs on arrival. The room was comfortable with great views overlooking the park, it was also only a 5-10 minute walk to get to the arena which is great with tired kids (no heavy traffic to get out of!). The food was also amazing, great portion sizes and tastes beautiful. Highly recommend =)

Terrific spot if you have an event at the ANZ Stadium, QDOS Arena or 'the dome' with a pub, Gloria Jeans McDonalds, Subway, Cold Rock and a Noodle bar all easy to get to. Our room on the 15th floor was nice but starting to show its age, quite a few stains. Great views but lots of light and can be a bit noisy. Breakfast was great but really busy, pick your times when busy and don't forget to order a real coffee. We had no trouble with parking but there are separate areas for Ibis and Novotel, if you know where to go, just take your ticket to reception to be validated.

Best room service I've had. The food was awesome & great value for money. The staff were very friendly especially on arrival & we had a new employee & she was very courteous. I would definitely stay here again

Room was exceptionally clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Great location and so close to venue Breakfast was fantastic - so fresh and replenished frequently and great choices especially for a fussy 3 yro grandchild.

This is a good 4 star property in the heart of Sydneys Olympic Park district. Excellent service from the staff in a well maintained property with good rooms and facilities. Bathrooms are a bit small as is the restaurant but the bar does have a late night menu if needed. The staff were very accommodating in merging my 2 seperate bookings over 3 nights so I did not have to move rooms. The area now has many restaurants, cafes and bars so that visitors do not feel like they are in the middle of nowhere plus good transport links into the city. A real option for visitors who can't afford the high rates that hotels in the city command these days.

An excellent venue for a conference. We are here for 4 days of training with a group of 300 people on tables of 10. Enough room to move without feeling to squashed in. The sound and technology worked well. The food was excellent, morning and afternoon tea, and lunch. Lots of healthy fresh food options with dietary requirements also catered for. Staff were happy, friendly and efficient. A good spot, we stayed at the quest apartments this was a 10 minute walk away.

Accommodation was outstanding. Facilities were clean and everything was extremely well maintained, rooms were quiet. Customer service was brilliant right through from check in, house keeping to check out.
