Whilst spending time in Sydney, I stayed at this hotel, whilst the accommodation, amenities, were as be expected, the point of difference was the staff, they are the best, a great team, nothing was to much effort, the smiles were genuine My thanks to the two Mathews, Michael, Karen, Theresa, Richard, Taylah, Kaitlin Georgina, Maddison, Daniel ( who transferred in my time there) Luke, Ellen and all the team members , who made my time away from home enjoyable,.
Whilst this hotel overlooks a very busy road and the Rosehill Racecourse, I had a peaceful and enjoyable stay at the Rydges Parramatta. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the couch a great addition to the room, and the rain shower head a soft touch. Staff were always positive and effective in their role. (The skyline of Sydney is also a nice view bonus!)
Establishment was very well presented. Hotel reception staff were professional and efficient making check in easy. Unfortunately didn't advise us that luggage trolleys were available. Very spacious, modern & clean foyer and buffet areas. Ample space in the bathroom that appeared to have been recently renovated. The room itself was modern & well laid out in lovely soft colour tones. Great variety of food at the buffet breakfast with a chef available to make orders. The only complaint during our stay was in no fault of Rydges staff itself, but we had to experience very loud & noisy neighbours. Loud music, laughter & yelling from 4pm to 8.30am the next day. Staff were contacted at midnight & attended room 505 to advise occupants to reduce noise but noise continued. So unfortunately we had a sleepless night. I am not sure of Rydges policy & procedure in regards to noise within their establishment but one would think that if occupants were not willing to cooperate they would be asked to leave.
Needing to stay overnight whilst my daughter completed two days of dance workshops, we got a great deal on Groupon for room, parking, cheese platter and bottle of wine on arrival, buffet breakfast plus late checkout. Room was clean and modern. The staff were lovely and no request was too difficult - new key (my fault), extra milk for coffee in room, towels for the pool brought to us when we neglected to read the sign saying to grab them from reception then extra shampoo and conditioner to wash pool chlorine out of both our hair! Cheese platter and wine did not disappoint! Breakfast was yummy with staff pleasant and attentive throughout. Only flaw was reception and housekeeping not being aware of the late checkout that came with the package requiring an explanation to both a phone call and door knock after standard checkout time had passed.
Great hotel for short stay business trips in the Parramatta area. Hotel reception staff were professional and efficient making check in easy and assisting with booking a taxi. The foyer and buffet areas were very well appointed and the room was quite spacious, very clean and quiet. Roomy bathroom which appeared to have been recently renovated. Buffet breakfast was well stocked with a diverse range on offer and very tasty.
Very plush foyer area, Reception staff helpful. Room spacious, stylish and immaculately clean. Amenities sparse - no hand towels, 2 tissues left in box, iron leaky, fridge/minibar locked when we arrived. Minibar prices too high. eg small bottles of water 2 for $6 ! Comfy king size bed, linens white and fresh. Free parking. Steeds Restaurant OK, not great. All in all a good stay, Parramatta style.
This is a decent, clean, and convenient hotel for anyone needing to work in or around the Parramatta or Silverwater part of Sydney. The rooms are spacious enough and clean - they were a little stingy on the milk in the mini-bar fridge but that's a small thing. I expected more road noise from JR Drv but it wasn't noticeable at all. I arrived mid-evening so I ate in the restaurant - the menu was OK...nothing really jumped out and said "order me!". Overall it was a solid 3.5 star, stretching maybe to a 4 star hotel.
Check in was a breeze, made to feel very welcome by very cheerful staff. The restaurant & evening meal was terrific. Breakfast was the best I have had in a long time Most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in Check out was very efficient considering the amount of people there at the same time.
Stayed here for our annual xmas race day get together. Great service at reception, rooms clean and spacious .stayed on the 6th floor city view, easy walk to races has bar and entertainment on premises after races.Best view from room at night can see city lights while lying in bed.Great buffet breakfast to finish your stay.Easy car parking. Have stayed before and will stay again. Only small criticism is that housekeeping have a habit of knocking before check out time my pet hate.
Plenty of parking in carpark, quick check in after a long day, clean rooms, nice food either in-house or easy to get something delivered quickly, adequate gym. Try to get a room facing rear of property as it’s certainly less noisy than the ones facing Jane Ruse drive
