Stayed here for a mini break because they had a heated indoor pool and spa/hot tub. The pool and hot tub are in need of a spruce up (new paint on the bottom would be good) but they were both at exactly the right temperature - not too hot nor too cold and most of the jets in the hot tub actually worked - the timer could stay on a little longer though. There was also hand rails to get in and out of the hot tub which is great for older or less mobile people. We found it enjoyable to spend some quiet time here. There is also a small gym. The room was nice and a decent size. The bed was OK but not the best I have slept on. The TV would have been the biggest I have ever had in a hotel room. There was a mini bar. Free wifi was included and I found it to be quite good compared to a lot of other hotels. Free parking in the outside car park is also included (undercover parking is supposed to be available for a fee). The bathroom was nice and modern with some very nice toiletries supplied. My only concerns were that only two large towels were supplied and I like to have an extra one for drying my long hair and that the base of the shower was slippery when wet and it would be safer with some non-slip strips or non-slip mat - I placed the bathmat on the tiles and stood on it while I showered so I wouldn't slip but this can block the drain if you aren't careful. The nearest shops and fast food are about a 10 minute walk down the road. Overall we found our stay relaxing.

It was so nice by the duty manager Karen to upgrade my room! I will be booking more accomodation here in the future because of this! I really love Rydges Parramatta because of fitness room, pool and sauna. I usually eat the food for breakfast and it is always excellent quality.

Working away from home, the great team at Rydges has made my stay a "home from home" experience. From Mathew and Michael, at the front desk, to Nicki and Taylah in the restaurant and all the other team members, they have made my stay pleasure. Hospitality at its best

Great hotel for functions especially conferences. Really suited to corporate travellers. Excellent restaurant and sumptuous food. Rooms spacious and well appointed, good standard. Great layout of the hotel, works really well. Friendly staff

Stayed two nights for business. Good restaurant and bar onsite. Pool nice. Rooms clean and well maintained - they've had a refurbishment since my last visit and room are modern and meet all your needs.

Wife and I stayed here one night after attending an event at Rosehill Racetrack. Location was very convenient. Service was great, room was standard motel fit-out, clean and well presented. However traffic noise from James Ruse Drive was loud and disturbing and went throughout the night. Sleep was hard to come by. Perhaps some sort of window treatment would resolve the noise problem?

I made a booking for a Superior room for the weekend of Saturday 30/09/2017 through to Monday 01/10/2017 for my partner and I. I had called up on Friday to advise the hotel that we would be checking in late due to driving down from Melbourne (8+hour drive) with a couple who was also staying at Rydges in a separate room. I also advised a girl at reception that it would be early Sunday morning around 4am, as one of the people we were travelling with was attending the AFL grand final in Melbourne and we would be heading to Sydney right after it. She said it was fine. However, upon arriving at the hotel, we soon found out that it was in fact NOT FINE! An Asian male greeted us at the front counter and checked us both in. He then proceeded to tell us that there was a slight problem... he had given our room away because we didn't "show up". He then advised that my partner and I would have to squish together in the other room with the other couple and he would provide a sofa bed for us to sleep on until the morning when he can sort out another room for us. Having just been on the road for 8+hours, the only thing we wanted to do was go into our rooms and sleep! This was the last thing we needed and it was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! Why would you give away a room to someone else if it has already been reserved for someone?! We were all furious. The Asian male then proceeded to explain that we had said we were checking in at 4am but we had arrived at 4:30am. It was in fact the morning of daylight savings so we actually were there at 3:30am. But that's beside the point, it still does not make it right! What if we did not know the other two people? Would they have made us bunk together with complete strangers?! We demanded he reinburse all of us for Saturday night. There was no way we were going to pay for a room that we did not get. He went to call his manager and then came back to confirm that we would ALL be reimbursed for one of the nights. He made it very clear that both rooms would get one night free stay, as we were both impacted by this. We were all also given complimentary breakfast (woop dee doo). My partner and I then had to go and wait in the other couple's room on level 3 while they cleaned a room that suddenly became available as someone had checked out early. We waited there for half an hour - time that should have been spent sleeping after the long drive we just endured! The Asian man came up to the room to hand us our keys to the now available room on level 1. My partner and I opened the door to find that the room still smelled like bad cologne from the gentlemen that had stayed there before us. So much for "Superior" room. Upon check out just after 8am on Monday morning, we advised the white man at the reception (he appeared to be a manager) that we were told we would be reimbursed for Saturday night due to the situation as described above. He then told us he had already given a refund to the other couple, as it was only one room that was given away. Are you kidding me?! The room that was not available was OUR room, not theirs! He was very cocky and proceeded to tell us that we would need to go and sort it out with the other couple as the transaction had already been made. My partner advised him that was the hotel's responsibility and not ours. He also told the man that we were both impacted so we were both promised a free night. The man then said that we were wrong and it was only the one room that was affected. Even then, he should've called us down to confirm this and not just take the other couple's word for it. He even openly admitted to just giving the other couple a refund as the lady got really angry with him and she was yelling at him in the foyer and causing a scene for 15 mins. Not good enough. He assured us he would call the other couple on Tuesday when they were back in Melbourne. There was no call ever made and it's now almost Friday. Obviously, you guys don't go through with what you say and your employees lack professionalism. If you've been told that a guest will be checking in late, why would you give it away?! A courtesy phone call to confirm if we were still coming wouldn't hurt. And even splitting the cost of the one night that was refunded to the other couple would be better than just giving the full amount to them. After all, the room wasn't even theirs! I demand reimbursement and I will not hesitate to take this further. We are definitely never coming back here again and will be telling this story to all our friends and family. I will be sharing this on every site I find that has this hotel listed. Sydney is a beautiful place but I can't say the same about your hotel!

I like Rydges. This one is a good example. The rooms are larger than average with good fittings. Steeds is the in-house restaurant and it’s pretty good except not open public holidays. Not sure about the standard in the café though. Pretty basic and they can’t even do a steak properly.

We needed to take our son to Westmead Hospital, he has Tourette Syndrome and the staff went out of their way to ensure a quiet room. We were surprised at the fully enclosed heated pool and spa, sauna and Turkish Bath. The staff were also accommodating with dietary requirements with room service meals that were enjoyed by all.

The hotel is amazing, I've been to this hotel a few times now and every single time I have had perfect reviews! I've always enjoyed my stays here and they always go above and beyond my expectations. I always generally get a room upgrade and this time I got upgraded to the suite which I did not expect and it was a nice surprise. The staff are 10/10 and the views are 10/10 this is a really nice hotel.
