Location is fantastic and very accessible. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, they offered a free upgrade and assisted us upon request. Would stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Sydney!!

A warning to people looking at booking this hotel: We were offered a free room upgrade if we left a 5* TA review before we checked in. I don't know how many other people are offered this deal, but I would suggest you take the 5 star reviews with a pinch of salt. I must admit we took the deal as it upgraded us from a shared bathroom to an ensuit, but I have since deleated the 5* review and am posting this honest 3* instead. This hotel is fine, the location is great for the station and lots of nice bars and restaurants near by. We stayed for one night as a budget option and I wouldn't have liked to stay any longer really. There was a strange smell in our room, originating from the bathroom I think which had a bit of a mould issue. Air con worked and free wifi, friendly staff, but cleanliness is not up to my standard really. A good base to explore from, but the strange smell needs addressing and the bed wasnt so comfy. Not bad and quite cheap for Sydney.

For the price, room was good and quiet, but the mess regarding the bond, I will never go back. Since my card was a debit, they would not accept it, I have had no problems anywhere else and their reason is that they can't charge me after I left so card rejected. Hint, you charge the card then refund after I leave, which everyone else does didn't think of it at the time. So I had to give $200, which they were not going to refund 24hrs after I left onto my card. Finally, I could get my refund when I checked out, but I had to wait until 9-10am when someone is on the desk. So I checked out late, no one at the desk for 5mins, then told I can't get my refund until 12, yes mad and guess what no one on the desk at 12, which I did not think of at the time. Did get my refund after they reckon I was told I could not get my money until 12, something I would remember., since I did leave Sydney at 12. So desk not manned when stated, room not ready at 2pm and no tea & coffee in room so mute that it was free. That wouldn't brother me but the Bond, fix the problem as not everyone has a credit card.

I stayed at posh hotel on December 07 On my check in I was advised that I had to pay $175 as room bond. I tried to pay with my credit card and was told I could only pay cash(which I found strange). On checking out the following morning I asked for my bond back and I was told it was company policy that the money will not be refunded in cash but will be paid back to my card within 3 days. It is not almost 8 weeks and I have still not been refunded. I have sent several emails but have not had any response. I have called over 50 times and have never been able to talk with a manager. I only get the receptionists and they tell me there is nothing they can do without the managers approval. (Apparently they have lost my check in details). I have sent them a copy of my booking, credit card and passport. Even Orbitz have been it touch with them to confirm. I have a feeling that this hotel reception is running a scam and are keeping the cash. I cannot go to the hotel now as I am overseas and they know this. So to anyone who stays at posh hotel Sydney beware if they ask for a room bond in cash.

The room was horrible, the air conditioner though working was extremely noisy, I didn't know whether my room was locked or not as the key lock wasn't working properly, the coffee cups were dirty, there was water in the shower as if someone had a shower before I arrived. The lobby was dirty with bits of paper and rubbish. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff is very friendly, location is very good as it is near central park shopping area, spice alley and central station. The facilities are of great quality. Comfortable beds and also the furniture.

Great location, friendly staff and clean accommodation. We came to Sydney to see a band play and found posh hotel to be a great balance of comfort, price and practicality. It made a weekend in an unfamiliar City much easier to navigate, allowing us to kick back and enjoy it. Would stay again!

Yes its cheap and in a great location, but it smells and is dirty. The walls in our room were filthy with splats of who knows what. The room stank & the king size bed was adorned with a raggy throw of dubious cleanliness. The airconditioning unit was stuck together with a thread of gaffer tape so rattled constantly & from the smell of it had never been cleaned. The shared bathroom was not cleaned daily or even every second day. (we often camp in caravan parks and those amenities are cleaned daily & are much cleaner.) Too scared to use the kitchenette or sit on the terribly stained communal couch. Ewww.

Although location is good, the actual staff (staffs are terrible) and facilities of this hotel is poor, rooms are completely dirt I found condom under the bed and there is no value for money at this hotel, I would recommend you checking out the number of other hotels in Sydney CBD Small dirty rooms, very budget. Terrible !!!!!
