Stayed 5 nights in room 413. The location for getting around the city is excellent for the use of public transport. Reception staff helpful and friendly but beyond that the room would be generously described as tired and grubby.Quite literally the bed-head was falling off the wall and the bathroom door handle was in a similar state of repair. No handle to drawer of bedside cabinet and heavy rust has developed in the bathroom service access panels There is evidence of mould growth on the bathroom walls.Whilst the apartment is described as being serviced, that it is ever given a deep clean, is certainly not evident. No cleaning materials provided to clean the bath or sink. The owner of the apartment obviously ignores his responsibility to carryout regular inspections. We would certainly not stay there again.
Spent 3 nights here in a studio apartment as a family. Had no issues at all getting a portacot put in the room already set up. The room was a good size and well lit and laid out. Only gripe about the kitchen was that their was no microwave cooking bowls. We did hear some street and hotel noise but no different to any other place we have stayed in central sydney. Across the road to wynyard station and a very short pram friendly walk to king street wharf and darling harbour. The staff were helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
Clean, well appointed apartment. Central location which was great! Good hours for the reception to be open. Even after hours it was easy to access our booking. Amazing having access to onsite parking, which you very rarely get in a big city. Being located under a busy bridge, sleeping under a bridge is an interesting experience.
The location and the price of this hotel made it very attractive. It was close to where we had to be and the quality of the hotel and the good car parking facilities were better than expected. The room was comfortable and clean and as was the bed. The shower was nice and hot. The staff member at reception was very friendly and helpful
well where do I start .. I don't like to bag a place ...Location brillant ..We couldn't get into our room at first had to get reception to get us in long story their ,then we couldn't lock our door so wewher put in the room across our one yer it was ok you couldnt stand outside for to long or even have a window open as the smell from the car fumes was to much curtains was filthy just black stuff everywhere as I like to sit outside and have a cuppa first thing in morning no way was that happening.place was clean but not by my liking staff was friendly .Would I recondmend to anyone no and I wouldn't be going back.
It’s after midnight now and all I can hear is cars and trucks on the roadway next to the hotel, cars on the highway over the hotel, running wager in the room next door and a loud conversation on the footpath below the window. There is no noise proofing at all. NONE!! If you can get past that (ear plugs, good headphones, heavy sleeper etc) the price and the location are great value.
Stayed at the Napoloean in early Dec' prior to a cruise.. this hotel is a good location being just a short walk to Circular quay cruise terminal. the Hotel has adequate sized room with a tiny balcony. It was clean and a pleasant stay the only downside is the noise from the bridge traffic on the Western feeder which runs right overhead, the staff were pleasant and helpful..would stay again
Second stay at this hotel. This time just an overnighter before boarding a cruise ship. Rooms very spacious we had room 111 its got plenty of room. Its location is great close to Darling Harbour,Cruise Terminal and Shopping area. An easy walk from Winyard Rail Station. Price this time a bit more expensive than before but worth it. Hotel is run on minimal staff so you don't get the services you would get in a 4 star one. Previously staff at front desk very helpful. The lady this time didn't smile and just went through the motions. For a budget style hotel this one is great for its location. Recommended
We booked here as it was close to where we were catching our boat for NYE It is in walking distance of all Sydney main attractions, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay etc The room was “ok” but it is in need of an update. It had most things but the lounge was torn and the walls were in need of repair They promote themselves as serviced apartments however there is none. Unless you want to pay for them to clean the room, replace any towels or sheets. I appreciate that Sydney is expensive but for what we paid some service should be provided The public garbage area hadnt been removed and it stunk. We were glad we weren’t next to there It is on main city road so if possible book the top floor or a room on Napoleon Street. The wifi is spasmodic and also has a cost but it cuts in and outs What makes the place is the the staff are fantastic they were extremely helpful in assisting you and always have a smile If you have a car be extremely careful of entering the carpark as the the area next to the swipe station is steep and will damage the bottom of your car
Hotel is in a good location being in walking distance to Circular Quay, Darling Harbour etc. Reasonable spacious and good value for money, although a little tired overall. Light curtains and main road location can make it hard to sleep in.
