Stayed here for 3 nights. Location within easy walking distance of the station (Wynyard). You even have access to lifts. We used the train to get to and from the airport to the accommodation. Comfortable, clean and staff welcoming. Close to the Rocks and Circular Quay - good casual stroll if you're not in a hurry. Limited noise considering the location.
Booked this hotel as it was close to the Cruise terminal. Price was very good this was the main reason as Sydney expensive and we only needed to stay over for a couple of nights. On arrival we could not get in and had to ring for assistance. Hotel situated right under the overpass freeway but surprisingly no great noise. Very well located right near Wynyard Station entry and 10 minutes from Cruise terminal. What you pay for is what you get.We understand this so when you consider the rooms are basic with no frills and you put your own rubbish out that's what we expected. All in all I would stay there again as it was very convenient for what we wanted. Only a 5 minute walk to Darling Harbour area. Recommended for stays of one or two nights.
Recently stayed at Nap on Kent for holiday including visit to State of Origin. Found the location really great with 2 min walk to Wynyard Station, 5 min walk to Darling Harbour and 10 min walk to Circular Quay. Did not expect this. Facilities were not 5 star but more than good enough given location. We have a self contained apartment that suited us. Fold out lounge provided the additional bed that we needed. Bathroom facilities were a bit dated but you come to expect this with age of accom. We will stay here again as cost was great
I booked this hotel for 4 nights over NYE. The reservation was confirmed. I had spoken to my credit card company since this was a foreign charge. They had approved the charge. Friends who live in Australia called to see if they could get a room the same time we were there. They were sold out by that time. Our room said it was a one bedroom and had a queen bed and a sofa bed in the living room. They also listed rollaways available. When we asked if we could insure our friends stay with us and we'd pay more, they said our reservation is cancelled because they wouldn't accept our credit card. This left us in a very bad spot as NYE in Sydney Harbor is difficult to book. I think this hotel is sleazy and will try to cancel reservations if they think they can get a higher price from someone else. BEWARE.
I understand this is well priced accommodation for Sydney in this location, however there is no excuse for poorly maintained units, dirty walls and fixtures and lack of attention to detail. Also as each unity is individually owned this means a lack of consistency as I discovered. The first room I checked into, unit 403 clearly has an owner that doesn't care and whoever makes up the room doesn't care, as my attached pictures show. Due to circumstances I then booked the room next door in addition, room 402 which had been updated to some extent, definitely better than 403. 402 however had a sofa sitting directly on the floor with no legs on it! I turned the sofa over, found the legs underneath just as it would have been delivered and fixed them on myself. Don't know how long that sofa had been there but again an example of no one caring. Reception staff were good.
Great location to Darling Harbour, Downtown, nice walk to Rocks. Good access to public transport - Wynyard station tunnel just across the road great for airport. Pleasant and efficient reception staff, studio spacious. Kitchen good. Sadly only one set of towels for the week, (weekly room service) replacement/extras towels cost extra. No washcloths (had to go and buy some!). Insufficient lighting in bathroom or anywhere to apply makeup. No shelves or drawers for clothes - although plenty of hanging space - still had to work out of the suitcase. Floor (wooden boards) not clean as bare feet demonstrated. Loose standing Bedhead made awful noises against wall. Soft mattress - not good for bad backs. Pity no free wifi.
We were in Sydney to see the Vivid Lights. The location of the Napoleon was excellent for this as we were able to walk to many of the sights. We were surprised that our apartment was really quiet in spite of it being near the highway and opposite Wynyard station
Nothing fancy but for the price of $154,- per night for a 1 bedroom appartement, in the heart of the city, you can't expect anything too flash, can you? Just a few minutes walk to the Rocks, Darling Harbour, Opera etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Will stay again!
