The best hotel so far for me. It’s just 2 minutes from light trail (Taverners Hill) and this light train takes around 30 minutes to central. Or you just can ride train Summer Hill ( walking distance less than 10 minutes). This train takes around 15 minutes to central. 7eleven just beside the hotel. The staff very friendly. The hotel also provide washing machine and dryer but the detergent need to pay 5Aud.So,i suggest you bring your own. The deposit 200Aud. Overall,i really statisfied. If i come here again,i will stay here.

The point of writing a review is to advise if the place in particular meets your expectations. Well Garden Lodge exceeded ours. Rooms were reasonably sized, comfortable, clean and in good condition. We had a balcony overlooking our chosen car space. We like the closed in atrium space where you can use the lounge chairs for reading, having a quiet drink or at breakfast. Transport from this motel cannot be bettered. Bus stop right outside, Light rail is 200m away and the train station just 5 mins walk. This provides transport into all parts of Sydney and to wherever the transport network goes. Friendly service with a 7eleven right next door. Not much around to eat but the transport takes you quickly to Norton Street, Tram-sheds, Chinatown etc. Great place to stay, particularly if you have a vehicle. Aircraft noise? yes, but not during the night thanks to the curfew. Highly Recommended.

Room was clean and comfortable and despite being on the main road we were not bothered by road noise. Location is handy to a number of transport options for getting into the city. Would stay here again.

This is a very basic motel. Clean and tidy. On a very busy road and under the air planes flight path. You get what you pay for. It was a convenient location Language barrier with staff was challenging

My partner needed a room for a night close to the hotel where we were celebrating a birthday. The Garden Lodge was nearby and conveniently linked to both buses and the light rail. Our room was comfortable and had the basics such as tv, air con, fridge and modern ensuite. The price was right and we will stay again when in the area.

Well maintained motel on a main route into the city, buses stop almost outside and the light rail link is close to get in to Sydney. DO make sure you set your GPS/satnav to Haberfield not Sydney, there is another hotel with a different name at the same street address but under Sydney. Road noise was not a problem. Breakfast is cereal and toast with fruit juices and tea/coffee, and you can sit in the covered courtyard with your own food too if you want.

Lovely motel with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and nice indoor courtyard. Close to light rail so an easy trip into the city. 711 next door for snacks water etc. Secure parking on site. Rooms situated around the courtyard and even though on busy Parramatta Road the rooms are quiet with no traffic noise.

I had paid the full price for 4 nights for two rooms that were not worth the $300 per night charge each. I had paid well in advance the full price through Agoda which I do not recommend cause I could not change my mind when I got there. To make matters worse they held $200 on my debit card from 29 Dec til 4 January and refused to release it earlier when I asked them to. It finally lapsed on 4 January but was a bad customer experience cause I did not need the stress of calling my bank while on holiday...The spa rooms were very very basic and when you used the shower the whole bathroom was covered with water as there was no door to the shower. The rooms were not clean and spa not cleaned by cleaners. The staff had difficulties understanding English and only knew how to follow rules and appeared to know little about customer service. I would never stay there again!!! My overseas guests complained about the noise in the middle of the night from the room next door they could hear the next door 4:30 AM prayers and the banging of the pipes when they took a shower! I had to beg reception to leave our bags in our rooms all packed the day we were leaving cause we were to do the Opera house tour very early that morning before reception opened. they wanted the bags already at reception by 11 pm the night before which meant we could not take a shower so in the end they consented to us leaving the bags in one room and they moved the bags to reception when reception opened but it was a battle!!! If you want signs of what not to touch and do and fight for customer service then this challenging place is for you. If you want a relaxing stay I recommend to avoid.

My wife and I stayed there for two nights and three days in a double room. The room was a good size with facilities like ironing and safe deposit box. tea/coffee making facility, and a LED TV and wifi (which did not always work). Lots of space to move around. The bathroom was spacious and clean. There was a small balcony looking out to the Paramatta Road.! Downstairs, there is a big quadrangle with sitting and eating space and cutlery and plates available to all guests. We entertained guests there with the permission of the reception. Did not have to wash the plates and cutlery . Were kept for the maids who prepare the place every morning for a 12 dollar breakfast. There is a 7/11 store next door which is very convenient for getting breakfast and quick freshly prepared snack lunch. Just a short walk away there is another suburb where there are plenty of restaurants serving different types of food.

I stayed here with my son during a recent sporting event at nearby Ashfield. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well-priced. The decor is dated but that was really of little importance. Parking was secure, plentiful and outside. There is a 7-11 next door which is convenient. Light rail is a 5-10 minute walk down the road. The breakfast is not much to speak of but it is ok for the price. There are not a lot of options in the neighbourhood otherwise. There is a laundry and wi-fi too.
