We stayed here for 2 nights to visit family who lives nearby. The staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean. Although we spent most of our time outdoors we had a great stay and hope to come back. The aera is lovely and close to a ferry port. This is a beautiful area for walks.
I had the pleasure of experiencing this revamped beauty at the end of May. I was going to go to Vivid Festival and the next day I was attending a seminar in the area so the location was perfect. A short walk to the ferry with the link to the city in no time. Very convenient. They said parking may be a little bit harder to find as it is just street parking but I managed to find one up the road. The room itself was an economy room. It was a small room but many of the old hotels like this treasure are kept to their original size standards. There was enough room to place my small suitcase on the chair but not alot more as the double bed filled most of the room. There was a small toilet area with basin and the shower facilities were located up the hall. These were very clean and not to inconvenient but with reading the hotel information you would have been prepared for that. It appeared the breakfast room and breakfast would have been quite allright as I took a glance as I headed past it on the way out. As there are not any eating establishments handy you would be wise to purchase. There is kettle, tea, coffee and complimentary biscuits in the room and if you bring any snacks there is also a small bar fridge. Is it worth the big bucks they are charging I will leave you to decide if you want a room in a piece of Sydneys history with modern clean comfortable ammenities.
We stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend. Staff were all very friendly (including the man from housekeeping who always had a smile). We were aloud a 12pm check in and the lady gave me lots of information including ferry times. The ferry was a 5 minute walk down the road and a 10 minute ferry ride to Cercular Quay. We had 3 children 6 and under who can be loud and messy but the staff didn’t seem to mind and commented how cute and funny they were. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family room which was on the slightly tired side but did the job. Both rooms had a tv, comfy beds, hot water. Because we booked direct, a continental breakfast for us all was included. The breakfast buffet was lovely. We went out for dinner once and got Uber eats the other night. We sat upstairs in the common area where there is as all kitchen with plastic utensils and a table and chairs. I think parking would have been an issue during the week but over the weekend it was all unlimited free parking. There was lots of cosy spots to sit including the verandah. I just love old houses and this one was perfect. A great weekend. We will be back.
We needed to stay on the North Shore & chose this place from reviews. All I can say I won’t be returning. We were initially placed into a room which didn’t have a window, an adjoining tiny sunroom with small window looking onto another property, & used as storeroom for foldup beds. Returning after hurried check in, came the ‘bug’ test. Pulled off the sheets & checked the seams of the mattress. Horrifed to find black insects, dust, other peoples body hair. As it was ‘after hours’ no one on duty, I cleaned up with wet towels & curled up in the middle of the bed hoping for the best. First thing next morning I showed the manager photographs of the mattress & filthy crockery. A dirty spoon had been placed on an empty stained cup. Firstly she was defensive but the pictures didn’t lie. She called housekeeping & they vacuumed the seams & behind the bedhead. I was adamant to move or leave. We were offered a room across the hall, which the housekeeper cleaned while I watched, seams of mattress vacuumed & clean crockery. A much more pleasant room but still had shivers thinking of what else was lurking behind & under dark coloured carpet & furniture. First impressions are deceiving, don’t people look a little further than the nice period style furniture, finding other people’s hair inside the pillowcase means it has not been cleaned or washed in recent times. Late in reviewing but still think it’s worth writing it.
Had a double room with ensuite which was clean and tidy, comfy bed, clean facilities. Easy check in with friendly staff. Facility was very quiet considering the amount of rooms. Recommend for anyone wanting a room in the area.Amazing harbor view
We have been staying at this place for the past 20 years or so. It just gets better and better. From the staff to the breakfast provided in the cost it so much value for money. It’s position close to ferry and the bus is ideal for older folk. Lovely rooms whether it be budget or luxury they can accommodate you. We love to stay here once a month.
Had a single room which was clean and tidy, comfy bed, clean facilities. Easy check in with friendly staff. Facility was very quiet considering the amount of rooms. Recommend for anyone wanting a room in the area.
Overall I have to call it a great stay. The accommodations in the penthouse is superb. Very clean, great service, amazing harbor views plus nightly theater fireworks from the balcony. Elevator opens in penthouse, so awesome. Full home accommodations with full appliances like home. We had a small incident that made it a 4 instead of a 5, we saw 2 cockroaches after it rained. Both were found in the kitchen and the staff handled the situation immediately. Other than that, it really was perfect.
I stayed here with my husband recently and had an excellent experience from start to finish. A welcoming email contained information and links to a wide range of further information. Would have really liked to stay longer. Steve who booked us in was amazing. Pleasant to deal with, very professional and had things on hand that we would have never thought of, such as ferry timetables, local maps and all the resources you would need relating to Cremorne Point. The rooms were well appointed, very clean and catered to all the needs of the pampered traveller. The building itself was a delight to explore and had a lot of interesting parts. Cremorne Point was a delight to walk around, filled with an array of wonderful sights and nature walks. Breakfast was plentiful with great variety to choose from and served in a relaxing dining area. We did not need any lunch on the days we stayed there. Prices are very reasonable considering the location and the quality of the accommodation. When you consider the great staff, this place becomes excellent value. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to stay there. Having had such a great experience, I decided to treat a terminally ill friend to a trip away to enjoy the accommodation and the surrounding nature walks on Cremorne Point. At the last minute my friend became too ill to travel so we had to cancel with very short notice. The response I received was professional and very considerate. Not only did they go well beyond what I expected them to, they also showed great empathy to my situation. I cannot recommend the business or the staff too highly. You will not regret staying here, short or long term. Thank you to all the staff at Cremorne Point Manor.
