Very minimalist industrial format hotel. Rooms small and very minimalist. Beds very soft and uninviting. Bar closed at 9pm and no room service available. Late arrivals not catered for and, If want food after 9pm, it is necessary to go to the local McDonalds. Lobby and bar area cold and uninviting. Buffet breakfast was of good quality. This hotel may well appeal to those who like minimalist industrial but it is not for the average traveller. Another major factor is the open and insecure car park in one of what is Australua’s Highest car theft locations.
Third time of doing this "Drive-In & Stay" experience and we love it! Staff are welcoming and friendly, the room is spacious and comfortable and the bed is divine providing a great night's sleep! Great buffet breakfast next morning is included in the package too! Treat yourself, or a friend, to this fun experience. Very reasonably priced and well worth doing. I'm sure we will be returning!
Another stay here as my company's office is nearby. Great friendly staff, excellent rooms and very good food. Bed really comfortable and room very quiet. If you don't want to eat dinner here go to the Historic Cricketers Arms pub just up the hill as they also have great food.
Good food. Really comfy bed. No room service. Nice pool. For me it was in a central location next door to the drive in theater wet and wild and the speed way. Bathroom needs a soap holder. I would go there again and recommend.
Atura was our official team hotel for the warm up tour of Sydney leading to the U19CWC in N.Z. As hosted by the Sydney Thunder, Atura was an amazing stay, there was friendly service to acquire any help, the food made at the downstairs restaurant was proper gourmet fancy food, served with professionalism. The breakfast was constantly tasty and in good variety. Atura had brilliant rooms which were spacious and the most comfortable bedding with a large bathroom and great storage facilities. The hotels pool was great for swimming and was near access to black town sports park and close to the metro station which leads to the Sydney city center. Overall a fantastic stay, very comfortable and the whole Kenya U19 Cricket team enjoyed the recreational facilities such as snooker and table tennis too!
Commuting from the U.S., I work with several clients in this area and the Atura is a comfortable and convenient location for me to stay. Demi, Andrea, Alana, Mel, Lester and the rest of the team here always take great care of their customers. The amenities are perfect (small gym with weights and treadmills, awesome pool, nice bar and restaurant); plus I like to jog and there is a convenient path that winds around Wet 'n Wild, just around the corner. Also the Royal Cricketers Arms is available for food and drink on the corner, next to the Atura. Plus, I love their "Going Green" program that allows you to earn food/drink credit if you skip the daily housekeeping (I'm not in the room enough to require housekeeping!)
Staff helpful and nice to talk to. Rooms really practical with everything you would need from this kind of stay. The drive-in cinema is located next door including a pub. Great place to just "get away" without actually having to leave Sydney. Only small gripe is the free breakfast (part of the cinema deal) is not set up for vegan or vegetarians. Otherwise really enjoyable stay.
Room was musky or smelling of body odour, beds were worn, and the sofa bed was very worn with collapsed springs. Restaurant food was expensive and of very poor quality - they even managed to burn the hamburger mince on my child's hamburger. Yes and this was reported to the waitress who's reply was simply 'ok I will let the kitchen now - thank you'.
Atura Blacktown is conveniently located to Motorways and Blacktown Hospital/Town Centre. Hotel has a 'Funky' vibe with modern/contemporary décor and clean well appointed rooms with great amenities for travellers or business people including; outdoor pool, gym, conference and business facilities. My allocated room was clean, fresh, multiple lighting options, block-out blinds and desk space with wall mounted TV and comfortable small lounge area.
My family and I decided to have night away and weekend at wet n wild which is practically next door. Which is why we decided to book this hotel. I had read plenty of reviews some good some not so good but i guess its all up the the person and what to expect. Upon arriving we were taken back by the retro look of this place, from the 60s Cadillac out front to the bold wall art, after check in, kids went bolting for the room. We had a king room which overlooks the pool and the drive in movie theatre next door. The room continues with the theme downstairs, retro looks throughout. Love the fact its got a small kitchen which includes small sink, microwave, cutlery etc. Mini bar which is FREE for limited time when booked online is a serious plus. Dont expect bottle of Moet and Jack daniels. 2 beers 1 cider and a couple of soft drinks + chips and lollies is whats on offer. The room isnt the biggest especially when the sofa bed is out for the little ones to sleep on but just fold up otherwise. That king bed WOW!! you just melt into it so comfy. I actually looked for a tag cause i want one. The pool area is very relaxing and water was perfect. The bar has a happy hour between 4-6pm with quite a large selection of cocktails and other drinks to choose from. The dining area was all but booked out when we stayed and were told to order early or the pub ( royal cricketers arms) has food which can be charged to your room, quite handy i think. We went there for dinner which i thought was a let down but i know for next time. When we returned the hotels bar and dining area was absolutely pumping. Great vibe happening with the band and footy on the tvs. We retired to our room due to the little ones and surprisingly it was almost silent considering what was happening downstairs. Still being hungry after dinner the wife and I decided on desserts from the hotel. OMG the waffles and the brownie are to die for. Highly recommend even for the price. We decided to go down for breakfast before leaving, and I had previously seen the desk clerk on duty about cost, which was told $27.50 per adult. Kids eat free. Yes it was nice hot food and had a few different varieties dont know if worth the $$. Upon checking out had an issue with the cost of breakfast as apparently its only kids under 5 which are free. I told the lady on desk about the discussion previously had and was reimbursed without hesitation. I have talked about coming back without the kiddies because i think you could have a nice relaxing time without all the crap that goes on in sydney CBD.
