I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are a bit different. High ceilings and narrow room. Bee was comfortable and a coffee pod machine in the room. What more could I want. Would be nice to have an option to brighten the room. I'm not a huge fan of dull rooms. My only negative would be the size of the meal serves in the restaurant. The butter chicken was amazing, but small.
After a day of driving this was a welcome overnight stay. Staff were great and meals hours too. The room decor was quirky, like sleeping in a concrete bunker. Large drapes I thought were covering windows were actually covering great slabs of concrete, the only window was above the bed. Be that as it may the shower was great and room quiet.
We stayed a Saturday night and paid $128 for a garden view room which was really a view of the grass / carpark out the front but it was cheap and we got it on a flash sale. Room wasn't bad, just like being in a concrete block with a bit of quirky wallpaper on one wall & curtains hanging either side of the bed that didn't have windows behind them! Not much tea & coffee provided, lucky we bought our own. Nice big shower in the bathroom & nicely decorated with decent toiletries provided. Bed was lovely very comfy king size with decent pillows, tv was awkwardly positioned to watch while laying on the bed & we did because the lounge was small & uncomfortable. Light was an issue whilst trying to sleep. My biggest issue was there was no room service which I thought was poor considering these rooms are quite expensive if you don't get them on sale. Pool area was lovely but it was too chilly to swim, we were given a free drink voucher but only 1 which was pretty stingy when there were 2 of us. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food but what was good is that they only charge a $50 bond on the room which was not unreasonable. Would stay again but only if it was cheap again as it was not worth paying full price for.
Loved the style as soon as we walked in good use of space with seating bar and restaurant in the large reception area. Excellent experience checking in friendly service.small shopping area for forgotten essentials and snacks at reasonable prices. Room really nice good size and very clean bathroom good size well lit. Bed very comfortable free wifi which is quite fast. On the hubby's checklist for good hotel room large tv which can be rotated to face bed or sofa would definitely stay here again
It was my husband and my 1 year wedding anniversary and we decided we would go out to dinner somewhere, we almost postponed as it just seemed too hard as we are new parents but decided to persevere and boy am I glad we did! The fact we hadn't been out in a super long time and then had the most fabulous night out gave us both a much needed boost. Food was EXCELLENT, the chefs are outstanding, we had the salt and pepper squid and cheeseburger dumplings to start, the cheeseburger dumplings were just as I had hoped, they tasted exactly like mini cheeseburgers, so good!!! We had the crispy skin salmon for the main, it was cooked beautifully and it was served with the most lovely crispy kale on top which texturally worked really well and then dessert was fantastic, sweet and satisfying. All portion sizes were perfect. The Roadhouse staff were attentive, friendly and efficient, delivering food promptly, asking how our meals were and engaging us in lively banter. The venue was relaxed, warm, not noisy and the music playing was at a good level. I can't stress again the lovely time we had and there is NO DOUBT we will be back. I would say the best in the west!!!!
Looking forward to our stay in August. Jumped on the website and found this motel, looks great, website was easy to use and easy to book. Forgot to ask for a cot so I jumped online emailed them and got a prompt response, it was no problem and no charge. Organising a trip 9 hours away with 2 kids is hard and expensive, but so far the Atura Blacktown has made things easy and it's not pricey. The extra no cost cot is a dream. We are looking so forward to our trip in August. I'll keep you updated!
A friend organised a group to go for lunch here, there was about 25 of us and just about no-one else in the restaurant. The food came quite quickly after ordering however, every single meal was very small considering the prices you are paying. And the waitress really didn't seem happy to be there, I didn't see a single smile or any inclination of good customer service so that was very disappointing. The location itself is a great looking hotel and I would like to see what it's like in summer as it was quite cold when we were there. Not sure if I will be back in a hurry
Great location in regards, to my work . Rooms are a little dark. A little better lighting in the rooms would be great. And room service from the resturant would be good , as this is not offered. But overall nice motel. pleasent staff and good vibe overall . I use this motel quite often. And I have never had a dissapointing stay. Thankyou
On a recent Sunday morning we were looking for somewhere to have breakfast, a little different from our normal haunts. We found the Atura on a web site that gives you restaurants that are open in an area at a particular time. We had never been although we knew of the hotel so we thought why not? We parked in their car park for free and breakfast cost us $22.00 each. For that we got an array of Danishes and fruit bread - which you could toast and a variety of yoghurts and oats made up in small jars. As for hot food, or should I say warmed food because nothing was really hot, there was bacon, delicious chipolatas, tomatoes, scrambled eggs, toast, mushrooms, hash browns and baked beans, If you walked out of there hungry it was you own fault. There was a machine for coffee which wasn't bad, it also had hot chocolate but if you wanted to pay extra there was a proper coffee machine. I don't know why the food was warm and not hot as it was on elements - maybe to protect stupid people from leaning on them and getting burnt? The food was scrumptious and I would recommend anyone in the area and wanting a treat for breakfast, the staff are friendly and the food is great.
The hotel was a pleasant surprise with little extras that made the stay very nice. The bed was comfortable, with a nice big shower in the bathroom. Free movies in the room was also a bonus for a night in after going to the drive inn movies that are just next door. We ended up having dinner in our room which was beautiful. Buffet breakfast had some nice little extras such as corn fritters and T2 tea! Recommend for couples or families looking for a night away. There is also a lovely outdoor area and pool that we didn't use due to winter!
