Sydney Harbour Bed & Breakfast

This b&b is up about 12 steps from pavement level. It is 'on the rocks' in a fab position for the sights of Sydney. It's very steep and hilly but walking distance to bridge and opera house Ideally placed for all forms of transport. The b&b is family run, very friendly and lovely breakfast. Be warned that not all rooms have en suite. The two rooms on the first floor share a bathroom and toilet. There is a second floor and no lifts so not ideal for everyone Everything creaks but is a great place to stay with character. Makes a change from the 'corporate hotel'

Nice place with all you need including a little mini bar if that's what you like. TV was up a bit high I thought, but never the less, from bed, was still fine to view. Breakfast was basic, with all the staples - very nice bacon and eggs, fruit, toast, cereals etc. Close to Circular Quay - about 10 mins by foot, but its a big hill to walk back up if you're not much of a walker. Only thing I could really fault was the internet on the 2nd floor which I could connect to but not download anything. I advised the managers and they appear to be onto it. I would ask them for a room they are sure gets Wi-Fi if you need it for whatever reason and I'm sure they would accommodate. Would stay here again

If you don't mind shared bathrooms and like older original construction and decor, this is the place to go! The owners/ operators here are outstanding in every way. Friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about all things Sydney. The breakfast each morning offers both hot and cold selections and provides an excellent start to each mornings adventures. The location is perfect to be able to get anywhere quickly. Close to restaurants and bars, quick walk to Circular Quay, access to trains, busses, boats and ferries, etc. this was an exceptional find and we will definitely stay again when we return to Sydney.

The bed was super comfy, great pillows! Very colse to the Harbour, the Quay and The Rocks of course. I was able to walk over the Harbour Bridge which I have never done before. I would stay here again!!

My young daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights. The place oozes charm. And wow what a fabulous location, close to The Rocks - perfect for the markets over the weekend and a lovely walk to Circular Quay or even Darling Harbour. Host Paul and Linda were great. Easy to contact and happy to answer our questions. If flying into Sydney, take their advice and take a taxi to the hotel. Whilst Wynard Station is a few blocks away there are a few staircases/steps to negotiate if you have lots of luggage. Taxi in on a Thursday, around 2.00pm was $50 Included hot & continential breakfast was perfect and a great starter to the day. A few local pubs ckose by for dinner if you wanted to stay near base or within walking dstance to other eateries. ATM and conveince store essentially next door! Local traffic & that going across the bridge wasn't an issue. Taxi stand very close by. Shared bathroom wasn't a concern for us. Only had to share with one other room. Definitely recommend this to a sterile hotel.

Wonderful stay, good room and great service. James and Linda were both very friendly and accomodating. Accommodation is Very close to the train station. Great stay, would stay again if visiting sydney!

This B&B is located in an historic building in a fun, hip and historical area called The Rocks, just uphill from Circular Quay and right next to the Sydney Harbor bridge walk entrance and a great little farmer's market (Fri Sat and Sun). There are museums nearby and an archaeological dig happening right next door. We stayed in one of the private cottages - there is a kitchen/living room downstairs and the bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. While it's not a luxury accommodation (basic bathroom amenities, no central heat), it had a comfortable bed and was fine for our purposes. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and the propietor was really accommodating. It was nice to have our own little private cottage right in the center of Sydney.

Easy to find though definitely a trek up the stairs if walking. Very direct and close enough to Circular Quay train station that it is an easy distance. Narrow stairs but they are carpeted and don't squeak. Very comfy room and bed with bedside lights which are ideal. Nice to have a full size mirror and was pleased to find lots of hangers in the wardrobe. The double glazing on the windows meant that being right beside the highway was not a problem with the traffic noise so muted it was not noticeable. But this did mean that the aircon needed to be on for fresh air circulation. But again, that was so quiet that I slept just fine. Breakfast was very yummy with tea and coffee, hot and cold dishes provided. I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay.

Spent 2 nights here a couple of weeks ago...had 1 triple room and 1 double. Our hosts Linda and James were fantastic, very friendly an accommodating people. Location is fantastic in the rocks...yes there are lots of steps, but that's how it is in the Rocks. Steps literally across the road take you to the path that leads across the harbour bridge, if you are so inclined. Plently of good pubs and eateries close by.Breakfast was good for a B&B, and rooms were clean. My only dislike was a shared bathroom which I'm not a big fan off...but this is a B&B in an old building so that comes with the territory. Thanks Linda and James for your hospitality!

Spent two nights in the Sydney Harbor Bed and Breakfast with my nine and twelve year olds. Hosts were wonderful, making check in/out easy and informational. Bag drop off was simple. Rooms were cozy and clean, had everything we could have needed, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Location was perfect for exploring sydney and the Rocks. Will stay again if given the opportunity!
