The staff and manager were very rude. We had the worst experience. I thought that how the USA Holiday Inn treats family so nice and welcoming, overseas, there are issues, especially for international travelers.
We liked the location. Very convenient. We were greeted in a very friendly and personal way. The rooms were some of the cleanest we have seen. Unforyuneatly
Immaculate room newly renovated w great bathroom Wifi strong and free Free self laundry w free detergent is great mid-trip In-room instant coffee and refrigerator 2 free small water per day but can drink from faucet too Pool and view nice Went to Shanghai Seafood one night which was nice Holiday inn has nice bar and outside pool area bar Suva is a quaint city for a 1-2 night stay
Excellent services and the location is great. Short walking distance from downtown shops and local eatery areas.
I would have to say that this is one of the best managed hotels I've ever experienced. Staff frequently asked how things were, but it was when one of them explained that they reported all the information collected at a daily staff meeting and that staff were expected to resolve any reported problems within 24 hours that I really understood how well run the hotel is. Not only did I feel welcome -- Fijian hospitality! -- but I felt cared for.
We picked this Holiday Inn Suva as our 1st night stay only because that's where our following 1-week resort would pick up. We then spent the last night at Tanoa Palaza Suva. Honestly, I didn't like holiday inn Suva at all. Yes, the room is spacious, but we could smell the mildew. And it's really not up to other Holiday Inn standard at all. The location is on the water, but they don't have beach. outdoor space isn't bad, but that'e the only thing to praise about. it's not close to Suva city center and nothing around the hotel. We prepare Tanoa Palaza, the room doesn't smell mildew and the bed is comfortable, and it's walking distance to city center where you have all the shops and restaurants. The only down side w/ Tanoa is not by the water. But we didn't care since we spent a wonderful week on Naigani Island. Must check this place out, if you consider taking a vacation in the area.
This is a good place for a day or two to look at Suva and visit places such as the markets and the Fiji Museum. Great Fijian Bula welcome from the staff. But restaurant prices and choices too limited and rooms are not sound proof.
Water main broke which is not hotel's fault, but they offered to set us up in a hotel with less amenities at same price. We found actual cost and demanded refund for the difference. The employees were friendly and helpful, but not happy with treatment from management. Felt they were trying to take advantage of us.
