Desk clerk was very kind and helpful. Room was clean and appeared to be recently updated. The fridge in the room ended up freezing my food (use a low setting) but my room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The location is within 5 minutes of science north and Laurentian university, the big independent grocery store and several restaurants.
Everything was great. Friendly service, great group price, clean. The gentleman that was serving breakfast on our first morning was awesome he kept the tables clean as soon as people left and always picking up our garbage before we had time to do it this is what I call exceptional service.
The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, without being intrusive. The place was quiet and peaceful, and the room was clean, well stocked? And well maintained. I was impressed with the complimentary breakfast in that it included cooked eggs and either bacon or sausage, in addition to the cereals, and waffle irons. Most hotel breakfasts I've experienced do not include the hot options, but instead only precoked boiled eggs that need to microwave. Good job!
We booked this hotel because it was just a couple of minutes to the hospital by car.. The hotel has been recently renovated I believe. It was a very clean modern hotel, good location, great free breakfast, great wifi. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel with free breakfast. Room and bed were comfortable. Microwave in the room did not work great however. The hotel was close to everything. You could walk easily to a number of restaurants. I would definitely consider staying here again of I return to Sudbury, ontario.
Standard, acceptable accomodations for this price range. The room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Very nice beds and pillows. Breaksfast was better than expected. Staff and service were good, although some a.m. cleaning staff piled changed sheets on the floor in the hallway, Some noise could be heard from adjoining rooms. Great location and an overall good value. Will probably re-book for upcoming return visit. If you need a higher-end facility and are o.k with paying at least 50% more, Hampton and Homewood across the street are very good.
My Husband and I are travelling within Ontario. On Sunday night we stayed at the Comfort Inn, in Sudbury. Check in was smooth, and the room clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was good. Maybe some fresh granola would have been nice! Usually the granola in some Comfort Inn venues, is rancid. It would be a nice extra at this location. Revommended
This Hotel Room was in a great location for us to get 3 individuals off to catch the bus and wait for them to return from the tournament to bring them back home. The rooms were very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone that was looking for a place to stay.
We’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times this hockey season and have had the same (and a few new) complaints each visit. Noise in the hallway and from above after hours, and no hot water for morning showers (on the ground floor at least) made our stays difficult. On one visit, we stayed in a room with a tub/shower that couldn’t be used (see photo), so the cold water ended up being the least of our worries (again, we were visiting for hockey, and the shower is an essential part of a stink-free stay)! On our most recent visit, we received a wake-up call in the middle of the night which was not well received by the kids playing hockey the next morning. That was my final straw - I visited the front desk to complain (as I had done with the issues on previous visits), but this time actually asked for a reimbursement. The noise in the hall kept us up late, the 2am wake up call was extremely disturbing and we were unable to have a hot shower in the morning - they offered me a $20 rebate. While it was better than nothing, it was not adequate given the awful night (and discomfort in previous stays). I will say the gentleman to the front desk at check-in is extremely pleasant and helpful, and is the only reason I’ve given any * rating at all. If you have a choice, I suggest looking elsewhere. If you’re traveling with a group, don’t be afraid to voice your concerns early on!
The location is good (close to restaurants and stores), there were a lot of channels on the TV, the wi-fi was free and worked well, and the rooms were clean and up-to-date. I was happy there were refrigerators in the rooms. The one thing that they might be able to improve is the heating system. I had a little bit of trouble getting the heat from the old-style wall heater to be the right temperature because it was very old and the controls were dated. Otherwise, no complaints.
