The hotel works good if you are staying a few nights only. Some of the rooms do not have toilet or shower, so be aware when booking, (we were not 😊) The rooms have an ok standard, but nothing more. The rooms were a bit dirty, it were worst behind the tv and on the floors. The shared bathrooms were clean for the most, but there was mold in the ventilation outlet. In summary: Postive: - cheap - good location - nice and polite staff - good beds (soft) Negative: - cleaning - expensive parking 280SEK each day - shared bathrooms
Since I wasn't looking for a fanciful hotel, this one was fine. Less than 15 minutes away from Central. Breakfast was okay. My single room was small, no basin, toilet or bath. There are 3 or so shared baths near the room. Slept well. No problem with wifi. Walk-able to busier part of Norrmalm.
Room 919 - A death trap. Situated in a separate building, 4th floor, 100 steps up a winding staircase, with no elevator, no fire escape, and without a proper evacuation plan. In case of fire, the advice was to phone emergency but no phone was provided. There was no coffee in the room unlike some of the favorable reviews on this site, and no toilet paper dispenser was provided, which was wierd. Low attic ceilings made head bumping painful. Entrance to the building was controlled by a simple well-publicized code posing a risk to safety. There was no disclosure of full room details at check in. Hotel description on Expedia and Bookit specified elevator and concierge, which was not true. There was no elevator and the concierge was in another building not part of the same complex but part of another hotel (2krona hostel). Room 202- BED BUGS, on both beds. The room had an older decor but was comfortable. A proper evacuation plan was provided. An elevator was available and there was a concierge at the front of the building, as promised. Bed lice blamed by hotel staff on "lndian" previous occupants, insensitively. We thought bugs must have been there for some time because of the magnitude of the infestation. This is a very damaging review that should help the owner make improvements. Owner should outline improvements on this site. I will be willing to withdraw my review once improvements are made. This review is offered with a heavy heart. Location is great. Basem did his ultimate best to help us out, for which we were very grateful. However, the situation was beyond Basem's hands. I look forward to staying at this hotel once more but only once improvements are made.
A big surprise and an eye opener! Don't stay here if you are someone with a bit of class otherwise you will experience something you've never before! A shared bathroom which my wife could not believe!! Really... I was walking down the corridor on my boxer shots only to meet a girl in an itsy bitsy pair of knickers going to the shared toilet!! Oh my word I could write forever! No milk in the room, no water! Had to walk 5-10 minutes to the local 7/11 and bought some coffee and milk which was around £7!! Phew!!!! Anyway that's Stockholm for you, very pricey! How we slept here we don't know, the gentleman in the reception was friendly but didn't seem to have a clue neither did he showed any sign that he could mobilise from the chair he was sitting on! Sorry No milk, Sorry no room with bathroom, sorry this sorry that... Oh my days.. what a night that was on the eve of my birthday. Oops don't forget the codes for the doors or else!! Will never ever stay here again... like ever!
The staff were friendly. Lift to rooms. Hotel look like museum, circle staircase, big doors and high ceilings. Room big but simple. Step up to bathroom which smelt a little fusty but ok. Tv which you needed binoculars to see but we only used room to sleep. Breakfast plain but ok and plenty of selection. Rooms cleaned and bed made daily. Excellent location in town centre. Value for money
We booked the hotel because we were given a discount, which made for a great value for money. The location is perfect (quiet neighbourhood, several bus and tube stations as well as good budget restaurants in walking distance). Tasty breakfast. Looked like the shared bathrooms weren't cleaned too often and there wasn't any water source in the room (at least bottled water would've been nice).
At first glance quite a nice place, quiet street, nice building, nice room even, clean reasonably spacious but hang on a sec.... where's the bathroom???? Down the hall, on the way to the breakfast area. Consequently the bathroom is not clean, used by the whole floor and really quite small. Water is hot though with good pressure.
whit my daughter(aged 7-10)Even back then when it was called"Tre kronor".Once in year,in july we take trip to Stockholm 2-3 nights, and we are always staying in here. It's cozy, cheap and really, truly unique, not two rooms are same.At first time we had shared toilet and shower, but it was ok.Second time my daughter fall in love whit out b i g room whit beautifull tiled stove and crystal chandlier. At third and fourth time we have stayend in the annex building at 4th floor, and even thought you have to walk there, the wiew and penthouse-style room whit kitchen of it's own is worth of it.Staff had been always wery friendly and childfriendy too. Breakfast is also good and simple,we love the delicious fresh rolls.
Friendly staff, clean and spacious bedroom (double with bathroom). Very close to centre and bus/train station. Only downside is that you can sometimes hear people in other rooms through the air vents.
First impressions: chunks of the ceiling has come loose in the reception. Checkin was ok, but they have problems understanding normal Nordic names. Rooms are old and without bathrooms. A common shower in the hallway shared between all rooms is it! And it's straight out of a 1970 Soviet documentary. How can someone not renovate anything for so long? We were in a large group that did not make the booking ourselves, so maybe this bathroom arrangement was to be expected. Anyways an unpleasant surprise for us. Walls are paper thin. You hear all the hallway traffic. When doors shut in other rooms it sounds like the walls are caving in. Blam! You wake up and remind yourself there is no toilet in the room and not even a sip of water. So you have to get dressed and go to the toilet down the hall at 4 a.m. only to realize that the person who slammed the door that woke you up is now occupying the single toilet. So you stomp back to you room, slam your door (the doors do this by themselves), undress and try to sleep while waiting for another door slam to notify you that the toilet might be vacant now. The you get dressed again, slam the door, stomp down the creaky hallway floor to use the now warm toilet smelling of other people. Prisoners have more comfort in their cells. Breakfast is ok. Usual stuff. Claustrofobic room that is clearly an afterthought in the building with long and narrow corridors almost like a maze leading to the restaurant. Small, but good choice of food. Scrambled eggs, fresh bread (only white bread, no healthy option), decent coffee, orange juice and good selection of meats. Single person staff means all tables are filled with dirty dishes that pile up before they are collected. The only reason for not giving this a one star is that the sheets and room seemed clean although dated and old. It is possible to get some sleep, although not without interruptions from other guests. And the feeling of going to the office without a shower makes you feel like you have been out camping (come on who in their right mind would occupy the single shower/toilet at 07:30?).
