Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel, Stockholm

4.5 out of 5.0

Rooms were not as stated. We were put in rooms that were tiny for three beds. Orbitz listed a king and pull out sofa. We were transferred on day two to a queen with pull out sofa. Small rooms.

We had a FABULOUS week in this hotel, right next to Central Station. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and definitely worth the price! The staff all speak English and were extremely accommodating and helpful in every way. The location is within walking distance of the Royal Palace and the Old Town and many other wonderful Stockholm sights. It will be my first choice again.

2 of the 3 hotel elevators were out during 4 out of the 5 nights I stayed at the hotel. This was very disappointing and frustrating with the tour crowds checking in and out using only the single small elevator. That was the only downpoint for the whole experience at the hotel.

We were initially in an old room with an old bed. the bed was bad. After speaking with the front desk, they moved us to a remodeled room that was excellent. Both rooms were very clean, staff was always excellent. I would highly recommend the hotel if you can get a remodeled room.

everything good -- beds, staff, pillows, food, location. price was a bit high but worth it.

excellent stay, the hotel people were very helpful

Love that the shops, central bus station and major tourist attractions are walkable from the hotel.

Great location. Very quiet room despite a lot of activity close by. Being right next to train station and the T-Bana metro was a big plus. Great for first timers getting their bearings in a new city.

Hotel restaurant had wonderful Swedish meatballs and fish stew!

This hotel is located at Stockholm Central Station and is a close walk to Gamla Stan. Overall, the hotel is adequate, but the room décor is dated. I stayed in a family room that had good space and a good sized bathroom. The pool was a little cold for me and the workout facilities were actually part of a private gym.

Hotel was very good but slightly outdated. Carpets were worn. However, room was clean and comfortable.

Should sort out shower, watet all over the floor after a shower. Other than that great and excellent value for money!

It was a fantastic hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We upgraded to a suite and it was really nice until we looked closer. The bathtub's facet was broken. There were a lot of switches that didn't do anything. And the lights didn't work in the sauna. I personally like my hotel room extremely cold, so when I turned on the AC and hot air came out, it made the comfortable suite into a very uncomfortable hot room. Overall our experience was great. Location was awesome. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is right next to Centralen, the main train station. With the super Arlanda Express you are only If you time it right, 25 minutes from picking up your luggage at airport and handing it over at hotel check in! Excellent room, if a little small, great service for the most part from the staff. Good food in restaurant at a reasonable price (considering Swedish prices), good breakfast if a little weak on bread selection and fruit. And don't forget the sky bar which is a great place to meet and drink with a view.

very good, wonderful experience. i there during a city wide event

This hotel, located in the center city, is just steps away from the airport train stop. It's a bit worn but quite comfortable and remarkably quiet for the location. When we advised the staff that the hair dryer wasnt working and a bed light was out, they brought a substitute dryer and fixed the light next day. In room Wi-fi was spotty but always available in the lobby. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

The hotel services was excellent, and the location was ideal for a tourist wanting to visit the great historical. It was also great for getting to and from the airport. Just step out the door and into central station and the express to the airport.

Overall we were quite satisfied with our stay at the Royal Viking. The staff was both accessible and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Bath was well equipped and comfortably sized. Room temperature was comfortable. Easy walk to or from central train station. Major complaint was that the few drawers for storing clothes, if you don't want to live our of your suitcase, were either small or being used for storing a blanket. So, while not perfect, it was a very good value.

Very close to the central station. Most of things are ok. My first room at the one end of the floor doesn't get wifi. Second room at the center seems ok but still weak. My price is felt slightly high compared with other hotel since it does not include breakfast.

This hotel has a beautifully redecorated lobby, lounge and restaurant. Unfortunately, the refurbishment has not extended beyond the first floor. The rooms are out of date and a bit smelly. The grout on the tile is mildewey. You can't see out of the window. The TV is LD. And the bed is old-school two twins not a double. It is reasonably priced and a decent location, but otherwise needs to be updated.
