The Rooms and bathrooms were all super clean! The area is super nice and you get a great view of gamla stan. There is also a very nice and well equipped kitchen, although it is quite small. The only minus is the price, for a hostel it is rather costly

This property was perfect for me a solo, female traveler. It was very clean and the staff was very accommodating in helping me add an extra day to my visit. The location is perfect and in the center of everything without feeling too much like you’re in the thick of it. Being on the waterfront, you’re greeted by birdsong in the mornings and the walkability factor is fantastic. It’s also only a few minutes from the bus stop and is relatively flat so it was easy for me to manage my baggage (the largest one I didn’t need ready access to, I was able to store in their luggage storage with no problem.) I also used the laundry while I was there which worked well if a little confusing at first (you pay in advance at the front desk and then they give you a key and a token to the laundry room/machine where they provide powder laundry detergent for your use). The WiFi also worked well which was great for work on my laptop and to help me from having to use international cellular roaming while I was there.

The property was perfect for me, a solo, female traveler. It’s a few minutes walk to the nearby bus stop and right in the middle of everything. The walkability was fantastic! The staff was very accommodating in helping me adid ann extra day to my stay and the property is really charming. I loved all the areas to sit and work or lounge and meet fellow travelers. It was very quiet with the exception of the local birdsong that accompanied the stay (I stayed in the main building not the boat) and the beds were extra comfortable.

Great place to stay in Stockholm

Wonderful location being close to the city centre and the little island it is situated on is peaceful and walking around the coastal pathway revealed many beautiful old boats for us to admire. The breakfast about 135 Kr was very good. There didn’t seem to be a heating system so as there were some rainy days at 15-17 degrees, we were cold during the night and the mornings were a little chilly. We booked a superior room so the spacious room was good to have especially as we travel for 2-3 months and often end up with small rooms which gets claustrophobic so the superior room at af Chapman was a treat. Highly recommend this place as the reception staff are also faultless- well done on getting everything right!!
