Soggy old bed that should had been replaced 20 years ago. Bed was moving around on the floor and wasn't attached or aligned with the headboard. Old worn furniture. Very small room with no space to put your suitcase apart from the bed. Flooring looks like there's been a water leak. One tiny velux window didn't provide enough daylight. Bathroom door very difficult to shut. Breakfast very messy and not welcoming, all self service. Noisy during nights eventhough we were on the 6th floor. Think this hotel i overpriced and doesn't give you value for money. Even so in the hotel bar £18 for a glass of whiskey!!!!!
Great place for business trips. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast was rather ok for Nordic standards and the location was great. There'es a lot of bars and restaurants just around the corner and the subway station is just down the street.
It started with a fantastic and warm welcome by Marta at the front desk. Extremely professional bar staff (Andreas & Oscar), both service wise and innovative when it comes to drinks. You need to try out the "Violette" drink!! Great evening out at a great place. We will definiately come back soon again! //Mags with friends.
Located in the busy center close to Stureplan, it can get somewhat noisy during the night. better have som earplugs available. Apart form that, it is a very intimate hotel with friendly and professional staff, and a nice bar just behind the reception. The only drawback is the breakfast locality. Although the food is OK, the room is much too small for all the guests at the hotel. That said, the breakfast staff managed to get us all into place and to keep the place acceptably proper.
Each room is decorated seperate design and avangard concept.I do not recommend for a regular customer or families which functionality is number one. However , if you are a freshmen couple or an artsist who admires instagram and any other social media stuff ; lots of likes or favs will be probable from a certain corner of Kung Carl. Up up up :p
I only stay 1 time there, for business trip, I found the room very cozy and warm, the only thing, seems like in front of the hotel, there's a club/bar on Thursday, Friday & Saturday is kind and f noisy, if your room is front of the club, believe you need to use ear plugs. Breakfast was super nice, love it! Even they have mashed avocado (ten points on that one), if you are a bit overload with your luggage, even is not that far, is kind of troublesome to move yourself and your luggage up to the Arlanda express, in that case you can tel take a cab.
Great hotel. Neat rooms, excellent location in the centre of Stockholm - walking distance to the old town and most places of interest. Excellent breakfast with fresh bread baked every morning and high quality ingredients. Worth a visit. The hotel is over 100 years old and has a really pleasant ambience that you do not find too often.
Very charming hotel in a great location. We arrived early and the front desk offered us a interior courtyard room. We returned to the front desk quickly and advised we would wait for our room to be ready. The interior room was very dark and very small. Our standard room was nice, the décor and lighting was nice and the difference between the two was amazing. The bathroom was very nice with a very cool stone sink, a nice special touch. The buffet breakfast was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and a well maintained property.
I really like this hotel! It's central (for shopping, close to Old town, metro next by) and quaint. The rooms are not the most modern, but yet so cute. Breakfast is also cute, as the room is not huge, it feels like your neighborhood coffee shop. Bfast choices are plenty, also. I like it, try if you do too!
My second stay (since I liked the first one so much). Staff still very professional and nice. Got a different room and given the architecture of the building I believe the rooms mostly look quite different from each other, which also makes it interesting. Breakfast buffet is fantastic and Wifi works well (they give you a free code). The location is excellent, as it is a few steps away from the social centre with many restaurants, shops, etc. Apparently they renovated the lobby are which still looks classy and traditional, but now features a nice bar. At some point I am sure I will visit again. Only surprise was that the minibar is not being filled - wonder why?
