Good location near the central station. Friendly staff, good breakfast and fairly clean rooms. The noise from the restaurant in the evening and a loud noise on both mornings were a bit disturbing. A room from the upper floor is recommended if you want to sleep well.
This place has many conviniant amenities (fitnessroom, bar, breakfast menue) but without charm nor luxury. Without taste such as plastic floors and above all, no hangers and room for your luggage. No closet room. Compansated by very nice and profesional stuff.
It is a hotel with comfortable, clean rooms and an excellent breakfast and food in general. Only one minor point: there are too few elevators. So, make sure you'r enot in a hurry when taking an elevator.
The Clarion Hotel Sign is a very neat hotel and so close to Stockholm Central Station that you don't even break a sweat walking to check in. The hotel is situated in downtown Stockholm and all the major attractions of the city are in walking distance. Could not be easier. The hotel is modern and clean. Bathroom neat and clean too. Linen nice and fresh and bed not too short. The room are a little smaller than used to in big chain hotels but they too are clean and neat. The restaurant and bar down stairs are very good (one of the better burgers I have had in a while go medium rare and no further). Just note drinks are disastrously expensive wherever you go in Sweden and you will not have a heart attack when you have a few. Refreshingly you could open the hotel window which is unusual on the 10th floor. Good but not common. Free wifi through a provider but if using a work computer that connect via a vpn you might have difficulty with it. In that case ring reception and they can get you a direct password to hotel wifi. Room service punctual and efficient and have regards to a do not disturb sign on door handle. Reception for checkin super friendly and helpful and checkout (even at 5:30am) was pleasant and polite. I would stay here again without hesitating.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice bar downstairs and also on the rooftop. Breakfast was really nice and extensive but very busy with lots of guests. The music themed elevators were fun. Easy walk from train station and to the main sights. I would stay here again.
I was there for 1 night only , had to wait for my room after 8 hrs flight, no options was given although I mentioned in my reservation Early arrival of 12 noon . I have requested a late check out and I was declined no alternative options was given. Breakfast Was very poor and selection was limited, cleanness and clearing table did not exist, it is like a ZOO. Booked a taxi and the hotel team member failed to inform me that it is by meter to the airport and during the weekend higher price Basic service manners need to be implemented
I stayed here for 4 nights during a vacation throughout Scandinavia. I was very happy with this hotel. I used my Choice Points to book a "Superior" room. I had a 7th floor view of the neighboring park and city skyline. I would recommend asking for a room on this side of the hotel as I believe the opposite side faces the railroad tracks. My room was huge. Plenty of space for luggage, a large bed, a desk, and two chairs. The bathroom was also enormous. While in Stockholm, my mobile phone was stolen. The front desk people were very helpful. They let me make as many calls as I needed from my room to both the police and my family back in the United States. They could not have been nicer. The breakfast buffet (included) was amazing. If you leave hungry, then it is your own fault. There were enough choices to suit anyone's taste. The hotel is a 6 or 7 minute walk from Central Station and even closer to the Airport Train (Arlanda Express). The historic Gamla Stan area is maybe a 15 minute walk. I did it multiple times during my time in Stockholm and it was not a problem. Stay here on your next visit to Stockholm. I know I will!
Modern, clean and cozy hotel with excellent breakfast and good location. SPA was pretty expensive even with reduced price for hotel quests. Some noises during the nights from bar(?). Music theme lifts were nice :)
Good location near central station. It was a little to busy and noisy at breakfast time but the food was good. The staff was very helpful with transportation suggestions and were very helpful when approached. I'd love to go back to try the spa!
If your ‘thing’ is to sit for 4-5 hours in the lobby, for three days in a row, waiting for your room to be made up. This may be just the hotel for you. You might even enjoy the added benefit of the lobby being so poorly designed, noisy and crowded that and incoming and departing guests are pretty much forced to mill around directly in front of the main entry door. The real issue for me was that no matter where you are in the lobby, check-in or restaurant areas you are constantly assaulted by whiney, squeaky, insipid ‘Kylie’ type music over the sound system – no let up, no variety, just the same awful stuff over and over. The staff are friendly, very helpful and try very hard to please, but it can’t make up for an impractical building design (at least for the main level), and an outdated (too cute) marketing philosophy. There seems to be an effort by the hotel to highlight various forms of music such as Jazz, Pop, Rock and that horrible “disco assault”. But throughout the public areas that I visited you seem to be stuck in a 1990’s time warp - 24 X 7.
