Really enjoyed my stay. Check-in was easy; room was clean; location was central; had to leave before breakfast was served so they prepared a sandwich, juice and a banana for me as I checked out. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is well located for getting around Stockholm. We were able to walk to all of the sites that we wanted to visit.

The hotel did not have really any amenities, but who cares? You're in STOCKHOLM!!!! Amenities was not what I require however everything else that I require, was completely satisfied! The hotel is absolutely charming. When I'm in an old city, I want charm and age. The hotel holds true to its architecture and age so that no modern elements rob it. The rooms were spotless!!! I am a clean freak on an OCD level and I was pleased as punch when I examined the room and it was to my standards of cleanliness. The staff were AWESOME!!!! They were approachable, very kind and helpful. One of the staff, an English gentleman, was just an absolute doll! I wanted to take him home with me. He was helpful and had a wonderful sense of humor! Breakfast was interesting. First, I was happy that the hotel provided a free breakfast. It was interesting and I will not give anything else away about that. You should find out for yourself. Was breakfast good? Absolutely! Was it plentiful? Listen, I'm an American and we EAT! So yes, it is plentiful with a wide, interesting variety of food. The location of the hotel could not have been any more perfect! -- One evening we were about to venture out and the English man called to us and told us it was going to rain and he reached behind the counter and gave us an umbrella. He was right, it did rain and we were so thankful. The person charged with cleaning our room did a wonderful job. I did however, like things in a certain way in my room but I never said anything about it, but whoever was cleaning my room, picked up on it and he/she started putting things how I liked it. Unbelieveable that this person had such customer service to pick up what I liked. I loved this place and when I return, I will return to this hotel. Thanks, Crystal Plaza Hotel, for taking such great care of us!

This is a good value for the money and very good location. However, my room was uncomfortably tin, even for a single person.

Close to everything and wonderful value. A great breakfast and super large room with old world charm.

This hotel is centrally situated in Stockholm and is close to excellent shopping, restaurants, and attractions. The Hop-on, Hop-off Bus service has a stop about 5 minutes away, and the local bus and tram service is close as well. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Their restaurant-Ming-was closed while we were there, but looked like it had a good variety of Chinese food. Try and stay in the "tower" rooms--Room 603 offered a good view of the streets below. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel, very helpful and friendly. Good, very good.

We had such a nice time staying at the Crystal Plaza Hotel in Stockholm. First, its a beautiful old building with so much charm yet is so well maintained and renovated that we never felt we had to compromise on ammenities for a smaller neighborhood hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the remodelled and modern bathroom. The included breakfast included a wide variety of choices of fresh breakfast items and was just fantastic. Overall our stay here exceeded our expectations since we thought we were compromising by booking at a cheaper hotel but this was not the case.

For being over 100 years old, this Victorian building is holding up well under modernization. Because this is a historic hotel the owners were limited to what changes they could make to the building. The elevator has been SQUEEZED into the old stairwell, so it's super tiny. Clearly the hotel has seen a fare amount of wear and tear and could use an update, but for the money and the location, this was areal find. The rooms are very small, like you'd expect to find across Europe, but are still lovely and very clean. Speaking of location, the hotel is located on one of the main streets in Stockholm, in the summer, the locals party WAY into the early hours, because of the extra light. So, expect some noise and was insulated as would have been expected against noise a 100 years ago. It's a stones throw from the #2 bus stop into Glama Stan, the old city and an underground station is a short walk. So, the location is perfect for sightseeing. We were spending an extra day in Stockholm before a Baltic cruise. Again, the bus service was a great option. The #1 bus takes you right to the docks, at the fraction of the cost of a cab ride. The buffet breakfast is also very lovely. Since the hotel caters to international travelers you'll find a wide offering of breakfast foods. It's all very fresh and is convenient for a grab and run casual breakfast. My only complains are: The hotel really could stand an update, but was very clean. The bed was remarkably large, but the linens were for twin beds, my husband and I spoon when we sleep, so no spooning. We'd stay there again. If you're expecting the amenities you'd get from a high end hotel, in the States. Then you need to stay in one of their branded hotels, but if you want to be closer to the pulse of Stockholm, easy access to transportation, love old architecture, all at a reasonable rate, the Crystal Plaza Hotel is a great option.

I liked the Crystal Plaza Hotel for many reasons. I arrived at 10 am and the staff accomodated me but getting our prebooked rm ready so we could relax and tidy up before hitting the attractions again in Stockholm. It is located conveniently by the Library and so ez to find on a map. A 5 minute walk down to the harbor passing many shops and restaurants. The best food value of the day is to have a Prix Fix lunch at any of the food establishments and a lite dinner if you are into economizing. The breakfast was very lovely with all the traditional Scandinavian treats on it. Very filling and fresh fruit!

This is not 5 star or 4 star hotel but if you are looking for nice small clean hotel in the center of Stockholm at reasonable price, this should be a great option. The gym and sauna which you book individually was very nice. I would definitely use this hotel again.

This hotel is simple and straightforward. The staff stays out of your way and will help you to the best of their ability if you need their attention. They all speak Swedish and English. The location is good with a park, cafes, restaurants, clubs, and the most popular parts of Stockholm all within walking distance. This hotel is probably most suitable for anyone who just needs a place to sleep at night. The only complaint I have is with the internet connection. It was almost never available and when I reported the issue on two different occasions they simply said they would reboot the networking hardware and didn't seem interested in resolving the issue and following up with good customer service. I switched to a different hotel midway through my stay in Stockholm and was much happier after having switched. Pick this place as a secondary option if you can afford to.

Visiting family and sightseeing

We were welcomed at the hotel by a friendly man at the front desk who informed us that we had been upgraded to a much better room at no additional cost. He was willing to assist us in any way he could. Fine old historic hotel with recently renovated rooms. Great bar next door.

The hotel was great the staff was wonderful. They all spoke great english so no need for a translator book. It was always clean and they even posted the weather in there elevator ((thats impressive). Also provided with free wifi and they had a computer in there lobby. The only down fall was depending which side of the hotel you would stay in the smell of the restaurant they had down stairs called the Ming would come up from out side if you had the windows open, but it was not for long and it did not last all day and night it was just for a few hours. What made it even better is that it was away from where night life area about a 10 minute walk. So when you want to get sleep you could with out all the noise.

When we first got to the hotel we were put in one of the older rooms that was very uncomfortable and had a run down bathroom with a noisy toilet. The hotel staff was very nice and put us in a newly renovated room. Our new room was small but everything was new and the bathrooms were clean. If you're looking for comfortable/cozy beds, this isn't the place for you but if you're looking for a place to sleep, at a reasonable price, thats close enough to the T and city, Crystal Plaza is worth it. Arlanda Express (airport transportation) is about a 20 walk to and from the hotel.

the location wasn't as good as another on i stayed at in Stockholm, but it was close enough to walk pretty much everywhere (about 25 minutes to the Central Station, same to Sodermalm). our room was quite large, with a nice big clean bathroom, wood floors, comfy bed, lots of tv channels. we were on the first floor and there seemed to be a lot of street noise. the heavy curtains helped block out the light. for me the best part was the sauna, which you reserve and use privately for free.
