The hotel is a 'tired' property. Fabric on furnishings in room, lobby, restaurant and bar are all worn. Carpets no different. Housekeeping staff does inconsistent and incomplete work. Our room has 3 light bulbs out...seem simple to fix. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful and the price was unbeatable. ...
We have stayed at Trailhead several times. The staff is always so helpful. Great location to the base of the mountain. Just a private gondola ride away. We love the boot room. It is so nice to put on warm ski boots.
When an opportunity arose to meet our daughter and her family about half way between Denver and Salt Lake City, Steamboat looked like the perfect place. Past experience led us to select the Holiday Inn, and we were not disappointed by making it our choice while spending several days in town and on ...

From luxury chalets and rustic lakeside accommodations, to modest rooms in budget hotels, Steamboat Springs can meet the needs of any lodger drawn to the slopes by the world-renowned "champagne powder" of the Colorado Rockies. Steamboat Springs is one of the most popular ski resorts in Colorado, where one can ski, snowboard, or ride snow mobiles on Mt. Werner in the winter, or hike, camp, and ride horses and mountain bikes during the summer.
Both the winter and summer seasons keep Steamboat Springs hotels busy with all of the unique local events, like the Hot Air Balloon Festival and Steamboat Winter Carnival.
Guests at hotels in Steamboat Springs will not go hungry because this resort town offers a fantastic range of eateries to suit all tastes. Paramount provides an inexpensive, hearty breakfast to fuel one's morning ski adventure, while Cafe Diva boasts unique, elegant dishes, such as pork belly lettuce wraps and lobster fritters.
One of the best destinations in Steamboat Springs is Fish Creek Falls, which are wonderful to hike but even better seen from the air via special tours provided by Wild West Balloon Adventures or the Zephyr Helicopter Company.
The friendly shopkeepers in FM Lights & Sons Clothier are always ready to fit customers with high-quality cowboy boots and stylish western wear: the staples of a Rocky Mountain wardrobe.
One can enjoy sporting events like the annual Steamboat Pro Rodeo and winter events like the Bud Light Cowboy Downhill.
Must eat at Cassidy restaurant for the best steak and game of pool. Went to Baggs, WY just to cross over and say I was in another state, there was nothing there to speak of except the beautiful carved sign. We wished we had planned for a extra day just to explore Craig, CO. Headed back to NM passing through Steamboat Spring and it's truly a tourist town, I wasn't impressed. But it was a wonderful drive. We plan on going back to Craig next year we really enjoyed the wildlife deco. Very inviting.
We had a little trouble getting into our room but the staff handled it quickly and the manager even found us at dinner to follow up. Excellent hospitality!
Beth did an outstanding job with welcoming us. She called a few days before we were to arrive and ask if we had any food allergies. I have never had that happen before. Outstanding breakfast both mornings. Very clean B-n-B. I would highly recommend for a romantic get away.
An evil person would write a bad review just so they'd have a place to stay in Steamboat, but ... the truth is that this is a great place because the owners, Diane and John, are great folks who's made our two-night stay very nice. Everything was convenient and comfortable. Their rates are very reasonable because (1) they're reasonable, hard-working people, and (2) it's outside the city limits so you avoid the nasty city tax. The next time we go to Steamboat, I won't bother searching online, I'll just call Diane and book a room.
