Rabbit Ears Motel

They did not clean the bathroom thoroughly. I found a clump of hair on the shower wall. Otherwise it was an OK experience.

I love a room that is quiet and very dark so this was a great fit. View was out the back overlooking the river, so no security lights or headlights or other ambient light, making it perfectly dark. Pillows were a bit too fluffy for my taste and the bed frame squeaked, but overall clean, comfortable and in good repair.

We stayed on a recent trip to steamboat and the motel was perfect for our needs -- no frills, cheap, and close to everything on the main drag.

We've come here a number of times. Older motel, remodeled. A little pricy - but hey it's an isolated resort town, so they got you. This year was for the Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival. Motel is at the edge of old town, with a small balcony and a perfect view of Howelsen Hill which launches one of the best firework shows in the state. Motel room was what they called a "suite" and was OK. The bathroom was very small, with a sink right by the entry. Good location to everything including winter street events. Hot Springs is located across the street, and they give passes. Breakfast is very basic/mediocre, but there are plenty of places to go to in Steamboat if you're willing to pay.

Clean, inexpensive and great location. Beds are very comfortable. Centrally located.

Super impressed with this family owned motel. Very friendly staff, super clean rooms, heated tiles in the bathroom! Fridge and microwave in the room. Great location for the hot springs and all of the restaurants and bars! We will stay here again on our next trip!

This is an older motel with small but clean rooms. It's our favorite for quick trips when we want to be in walking distance to the town shops & restaurants as many other motels are outside of town.

Great location and cheapest in town. Room was clean and staff was helpful but the bed was very uncomfortable.

Easy walk from hotel to all of the downtown area - shops, restaurants, etc. Hotel is also right next to walking path along the river - very nice for an evening stroll. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

This motel although near the downtown and river walk locations, was much higher in price then others that better.

Not the swankiest hotel with the most amenities, but if all you're loking for is a good location with a nice bed to sleep in for an affordable rate, Rabbit Ears is great.

The price was great! The location is great~we were in walking distance of downtown. The staff was so friendly and sweet. We were allowed to check in right away upon our arrival at 9a.m. Free internet. Even flat screen tv's. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a reasonable place to stay.

I've stayed here several times and really enjoy the location and the staff. It's easy walking distance to everything in downtown Steamboat and right on the bus line for the free shuttle to the ski mountain. The staff are kind and always available. The one aspect that was sub-par was that the beds weren't super comfortable and ours sagged a bit in the middle. Otherwise, a great place for a great price. Breakfast too!

Nice clean motel with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was very basic. Great location being close to downtown and right on the Yampa River with a nice bike path nearby. I would definitely stay there again.

The Rabbit Ears Motel is nicely located in the heart of downtown Steamboat. There is a bus stop just in front of the motel that connects you easily to the Mt. Werner Ski area. Public transportation is free and most people use it to get around the town. The motel itself is functional and clean. Smells a little funny probably from the age of the facilities. The staff are very friendly. I found it quite acceptable for the price.

We stayed in a back room off to the side with the river running right outside our patio. Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our room. Also had 2 dogs. Would have liked more open area for them. This is our 3rd time to stay here. People are friendly. Continental breakfast is ok.

I had a pretty good idea what the room would be like based on the other reviews. I had a single room which was the smallest room I have ever stayed in, and the walls were very thin, but the rate was reasonable for downtown Steamboat Springs during the winter holiday season. The staff was nice, the continental breakfast was okay, and being one block away from all of the downtown shops was a plus. The hotel also offers discount tickets to the Old Town Hot Springs, which is directly across the street. I don't think I would have wanted to stay here for more than one night, but it was fine for one evening.

Hotel was basic and inexpensive

Friendly people; big spacious room with a refrigerator, large screen TV and a balcony; nice beds very comfortable, but a small bathroom. Continental breakfast was ok and they started it early for the hunters staying there. Will stay there again the next time I'm up that way.

Good value for the inexpensive price! We would come again!

We work incredibly hard to keep our property up to date, renovated, clean and welcoming for our guests. Room inspections are carried out daily by me, as owner, to ensure the level of quality we want to ensure. This oversight is not how we operate and we will work even harder to avoid this happening in the future.
