This hotel could use some upgrades, especially for the price I paid for my stay. Some areas for improvement: 1. Outside signage - I had to circle the block a couple times to find the driveway entrance. Was made more difficult due to the small sign and construction next door. 2. Menu in restaurant is limited and could use updating. 3. There was ONE person working the restaurant on Sunday morning and she was overwhelmed - typically a busy time for breakfast with people checking out, and there was a girls sports team staying the weekend. 4. Upgrade to SMART TVs so people can use streaming services on the tv not their personal devices (if they brought any) 5. Upgrade charging ports to USB-C 5. Shower was nice but floor was very slick - falling hazard especially for older guests. 6. Elevators were absurdly slow and wait times were too long considering three elevators for a relatively small hotel. 7. Put real coffee makers in rooms. 8. Rooms were nicely appointed but common areas could use upgrades.

Let me start by saying the staff was wonderful. Beyond kind and helpful. They are the reason for three stars and not two. If you do go make sure your gps has the hotel address correct and not the Graduate apartments across the street. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be an issue however there was no signage for the hotel or the entrance to the hotel/underground parking. We drove around and realized where the hotel was finally but then finding the entrance was nearly impossible. I actually had to call and the lovely girl at the desk stayed on and navigated us to the entrance. Now to the parking. Reviews said parking was tight. How bad could it be??? We found out. Spaces will fit a car but that doesn’t mean you can open the doors to the car. No exaggeration. It was so bad that once we parked we decided to just leave the car and uber for the weekend if we couldn’t walk. There is a parking garage a couple of blocks away. Had I known that I might have considered parking there instead. Needless to say that after a 3.5 hour drive this was not an ideal start. However the front desk staff was absolutely lovely. I can’t say that enough. The decor is, well, interesting. A lot of patterns! The wallpaper in the hall was of lots of books. I felt like I was in Alice in Wonderland. Our room was standard size wise and was clean. A giant lion lamp that made me think I needed one eye open to sleep. It is on a busy street and across from the fire station. Lots of noise at night. Location was walkable.

I have stayed at The Graduate before, and have always had a good experience. This time something had changed. There were stains on the floors from previous residents (not the carpets/rug area) the pillow cases were stained, no tissues in the bathroom. The bar/restaurant staff were super friendly and engaging. - sadly this energy was not found at check -in…. Rather we were made to feel like an inconvenience - which really nobody likes to feel that way. At last one elevator during the day was commandeered by housekeeping, whilst a second was not working - leaving one elevator for 11 floors - which was frustrating. Yes these are all first world problems - and I have never submitted a negative or whiny review- but this trip was so disappointing - when your room doesn’t feel clean and obviously has not been appropriately cleaned or restocked - it’s disappointing. For $614 for two nights - I at least would have liked clean pillow cases and a cleaned floor. Will. To be returning sadly!

Parking garage was a tight fit, and elevator takes awhile but otherwise a great location and walkable area. Room was very clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and great pillows. Not many probably appreciated the ice cream wallpaper in the bathroom but I did. Breakfast was not included but the restaurant has a nice variety of foods.
